I HAVE FOR SALE MY 2003 YUKON XL THAT IS IN PRISTINE CONDITION. THE VEHICLE LOOKS, RUNS, AND DRIVES LIKE A NEW VEHICLE. I AM A PERFECTIONIST WHEN IT COMES TO AUTOMOBILES. THIS VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN SMOKED IN. ALL WAYS GARAGED--NEVER SPENT A NIGHT OUT IN THE WEATHER--BEAUTIFUL ORIGINAL BLACK PAINT THAT IS CLOSE TO PERFECT. I HAVE BRAND NEW AND VERY EXPENSIVE MICHELIN TIRES ON THE VEHICLE. THE RADIATOR HAS BEEN FLUSHED AND ALL HOSES AND BELTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED. THE BATTERY IS ABOUT A YEAR OLD. ON A SCALE OF 1 TO 10 AND 10 BEING PERFECT THIS VEHICLE IS A 9.5 I HAVE ALWAYS USED MOBIL 1 OIL IN THE VEHICLE. THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. NEARLY ALL OF THE MILES ON THE GMC ARE HIGHWAY MILES AND IT HAS BEEN BABIED ITS ENTIRE LIFE. THESE VEHICLE CAN RUN STRONG FOR 300 TO 400 THOUSAND MILES. THE WHEELS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. EVERYTHING CONSIDERED ABOUT THE VEHICLE IT IS AS AWESOME A VEHICLE AS YOU WILL FIND. IT RIDES AND DRIVES LIKE A 2013 SUBURBAN. IT IS ACTUALLY THAT NICE!!! 2014 GMC Sierra 4.3L V6 to offer segment-best 305 LB-FT
Mon, 06 May 2013General Motors has released more information on the 4.3-liter V6 available in the 2014 GMC Sierra. The engine will serve up 285 horsepower and 305 pound-feet of torque, with a six-speed automatic transmission, and giving the V6 Sierra a maximum tow rating of 7,200 pounds in regular cab, short bed four-wheel drive configuration. GM claims that figure is 500 pounds more than the equivalent Ford F-150 equipped with a 3.7-liter V6, and 700 pounds more than the Ram 1500 with its 3.6-liter V6. Buyers can expect to see the 2014 GMC Sierra with the 4.3-liter engine start at $25,085 including destination.
While the engine does deliver more torque than either of its main competitors, it falls short on the horsepower front. The 3.7-liter V6 in the F-150 develops 302 hp while the 3.6-liter V6 in the Ram 1500 yields 305 hp. GM says fuel economy estimates for its newest entry will land later this year. GM to unveil new SUVs at the State Fair of Texas?
Wed, 07 Aug 2013With General Motors just having rolled out its new fullsize truck twins - the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra - for 2014, now it seems to be time to focus on its big SUVs. The Truth About Cars is reporting that the 2015 Chevy Tahoe/Suburban and 2015 GMC Yukon lineup will be making their debuts later next month at the State Fair of Texas, which kicks off on September 27.
To date, we've only seen spy shots of the new Chevy and GMC SUVs (shown above in Yukon XL guise). Based on those spies both trucks seem to be taking a different styling direction than their pickup truck counterparts - just check out the Ford-looking headlight design on the next-gen Chevys.
We reached out to GM for comment and heard back simply that there is no official announcement about the new Tahoe, Suburban and Yukon. Still, the report definitely makes a solid leap of logic, as Texas is a top market for GM's fullsize SUV lineup. It also appears that GM is still planning a separate launch for the next-gen Cadillac Escalade.
GM to make most cars LTE hotspots for 2015
Mon, 25 Feb 2013General Motors isn't the first automaker to deliver in-car Internet access, but a proposed plan announced today could make the technology more widespread than any of its competitors have offered. By the 2015 model year, most Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC products in the US and Canada will offer 4G LTE mobile broadband access. Initially, GM will just be pairing with AT&T to deliver this service, but additional carriers will be revealed in the future.
Current in-car Wi-Fi hot spots are limited to 3G, but GM says that 4G LTE is 10 times faster than 3G service and will allow for full Internet access, including streaming video for entertainment as well as services like real-time traffic updates and navigation driving directions. There is also no need for a paired smartphone with this new system, which should make it easier to use, and GM and AT&T will also be working together to develop new apps for customers.
Buyers can expect to start seeing 4G LTE in their cars starting next year, and GM is already planning to expand the service to other global markets as well. All of the information from GM's announcement is posted in a press release below.
