2003 Gmc Yukon Denali Xl 4-door 6.0l 161k on 2040-cars
Takoma Park, Maryland, United States
SPEED INDICATOR IS NOT WORKING, TRANSMISSION SHIFT LITTE HARD SINCE 2 MONTHS. BUT I TOOK IT TO NEW YORK TWICE LIKE THIS, AND NO PROBLEMS; WHICH IS OVER 500 MILES. THESE PICTURES ARE THE ACTUAL VEHICULE, BUT I JUST USE MY PHONE, SO IT'IS LITTLE DARK, FEWS SCRACHES, NO RUST OR PRETTY SMALL ONE, YOU CAN NOT EVEN SEE IT GOOD.. I can prove it, that I took it to NEW YORK LESS THAN 20 DAYS, BECAUSE I GOT SPEEDING TICKET AND PARKING TICKET IN NEW YORK. ROUNDTRIP. THAT MAY HAVE BRING CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. IT'S STILL MY DAILY RIDE, SO MILES MAY CHANGE LITTLE BEFORE THE WINNER PICK IT UP. IT MAY GET TO 161,200 MILES. NOW IT IS 160,650. I JUST BOUGHT NEW TOYOTA SIENNA FOR MY FAMILY, BUT IS WHY, AND I DON'T WANT TO BE FIXING THIS KIND OF BIG TRUCK, SINCE I AM NOT A FAN OF BIG 4X4. GOOD LUCK. |

General Motors shaking up its marketing... again
Wed, 13 Mar 2013One of the things that dogs the full comeback of General Motors is the instability of its marketing. That part of the automaker got yet another big shakeup today when GM confirmed what I have been tweeting for a few days - strong rumors that the Chevrolet and Cadillac ad accounts are walking to new ad agencies.
Cadillac, GM's luxury brand, is going into review from Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis and the indications are that Campbell-Ewald, Chevy's old ad shop, will end up with most or all of it. C-E just announced that it was moving from its long-time home in Warren, MI to a new downtown Detroit office next to Ford Field, just blocks from GM.
The other shoe to drop shortly will be the shift of GM's most important brand, Chevy, from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco to McCann-Erickson of Troy, MI. McCann used to be the agency for Buick and GMC, as well as GM's corporate advertising, and has retained some pieces of business over the last few years. Sources have even told us that it was McCann that did a lot of the creative work on Chevy's new ad platform, Find New Roads. (Not to be confused with a former McCann tagline for Saab, "Find Your Own Road.")
Roadkill pits every project car against each other
Sat, 22 Feb 2014The guys behind Motor Trend's monthly Roadkill series have collected nine of their favorite project cars from their videos and pitted them against each other in a battle royale to determine a winner. It's 44 minutes long, but it's completely worth the investment of time.
The cars run the gamut from a 1973 Chevrolet Ramp Truck, a 1975 AMC Pacer and a legitimately impressive 1967 Chevy Camaro, and they are pitted against each other to see which is the fastest around an autocross course. The drivers include Roadkill's two hosts and Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman and Carlos Lago. It's reminiscent of the best episodes of Top Gear and worth a watch.
So it's the weekend - the perfect time to relax. Grab your preferred beverage, get comfortable and enjoy 44 minutes of some seriously ratty but utterly cool project cars as they are throttled within an inch of their lives (or past it). Scroll down to check out the video.
2014 GMC Sierra
Wed, 12 Jun 2013Is the Best GMC Truck Ever Made Good Enough?
We've got a bright aluminum Airstream camper hitched to our rear bumper as we head up Southern California's coast because GMC says that 60 percent of all full-size pickup owners will use their trucks for towing.
Rather than forcing us to absorb its capabilities in a long-winded PowerPoint presentation, the automaker brought us to Los Angeles and handed us the keys to its all-new 2014 GMC Sierra 1500. After jumping behind the wheel of a 5.3-liter V8 model, we drove up the foggy Malibu coast (locals call the soggy early-summer weather "June Gloom") and made our way to the Camarillo Airport for a towing refresher. Once completed, a brand-new 23-foot Airstream was hitched to our aft end and we were pointed towards a campground just west of Santa Barbara.
