2007 GMC Denali, one owner, just traded in on a new luxury SUV. This vehicle has been very well cared for, and though it has a lot of highway miles, you'd never guess it! This Denali is finished in a very elegant Cobalt Blue that is complimented by a very luxurious Black Leather interior! It contains all of the amenities that one would expect to find in a luxury SUV! These include heated seats, a power lift gate, XM radio, entertainment system with remote, moon roof, full length side steps, power folding center section seats, and a host of other goodies that I'm probably forgetting. It is powered by a very smooth and brawney 6.2 litre V8 engine, and an equally smooth shifting 6 speed hydramatic transmission, with full time All Wheel Drive. There are no tears, or even visible wear in the leather seating, and the carpet is beautiful, again with no stains! It has also never been smoked in. The engine does have a little lifter noise when it is cold, but quiets down after warm up. This is very common among the 6.0 and 6.2 litre engines, and I don't believe it is any cause for concern. I just took my family on a trip in it for the fourth of July and it was a pleasure to drive! The Stabilitrack and Traction lights come on occasionally, and sometimes remain on, but sometimes go back out. Also the oil pressure guage doesn't always work, and is erratic. There is probably a loose connection somewhere, as these quirks, seem to manifest themselves at the same time. It is also shod with a set of Pro Comp Extreme Polished alloy wheels, with a brand new set of top of the line, Goodyear Fortera Tires! I have set a very reasonable reserve on this truck, so you may bid with confidence! I try to describe all of my vehicles as accurately as possible, but any and all questions are welcome, and indeed encouraged! My name is Pat and my number is (352)214-7896 As with all of my listings, I do reserve the right to end it early, as the vehicle is being offered for sale locally!

GM confirms 2015 Silverado, Sierra to get 8-speed automatic
Fri, 18 Jul 2014When viewed alongside the next Ford F-150 and the Ram 1500, there is one thing that seems to be missing from the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. Where the F-150 will rely on turbocharging and aluminum architecture and the Ram sports an eight-speed automatic and an air suspension, the General Motors twins lack a big, calling-card feature. They're very good, very refined trucks, but one could argue that they're not terribly innovative.
And while it might not be as flashy a feature as air suspension or a lightweight skin, the Silverado and Sierra will get their own eight-speed automatic for 2015, a transmission that will be paired with the company's Ecotec3 6.2-liter V8. The new cogswapper will also find its way into the GMC Yukon Denali, but for now, there's no indication why the Cadillac Escalade, Suburban, Tahoe and standard Yukon are being left out.
According to GM, the new gearbox is about the same size and weight as the current Hydra-Matic 6L80 six-speed. By the time the new powertrain combination enters production late this year, the EPA will almost certainly have gotten around to certifying the vehicles' fuel efficiency. Until then, feel free to speculate. The current Silverado with the 6.2 and six-speed auto returns 14 miles per gallon in the city and 20 on the highway. How much do you think the eight-speed will improve those figures? Scroll down for the official press blast from General Motors, and then head into Comments.
Driving the Panamera and Mike's Rant | Autoblog Podcast #487
Thu, Sep 8 2016This week we cover some recent news like the upcoming Land Rover Discovery, updates to FCA's large car platform (including the Challenger), and talk about water injection. Then we go into what we've been driving - David just finished his time in the Porsche Panamera Turbo and Mike tried the GMC Acadia. And then Mike (who is still uncomfortable writing in the third person) goes on a rant about why automakers shouldn't specify which cars are aimed at women. The rundown is below. 2017 GMC Acadia starts at $29,995
Tue, Feb 16 2016The 2017 GMC Acadia has a lower price in addition to its smaller size and 700-pound weight loss. The latest model starts at $29,995 (including $925 destination) when it arrives at dealers this spring, which is $1,905 less than last year's base version. That low price is just for the front-wheel-drive only SL trim, but there are savings throughout the 2017 lineup. The least expensive all-wheel drive version comes on the SLE model for $35,375, versus $37,100 last year (after $925 destination). The top-spec all-wheel drive Denali now costs $47,845, compared to $50,815 for the 2016 version. You can check out the MSRP for each trim in the release below. The new All Terrain model costs $40,040 and gets a more sophisticated all-wheel drive system with an active twin clutch. GMC claims the layout improves performance in wet, snowy and icy conditions. However, the trim is only available in five-passenger configuration, and storage bins in the floor replace the third-row seat. The 2017 Acadia price is also competitive with some challengers in the segment. For example, a base 2016 Honda Pilot is more expensive at $31,045 (after $900 destination), and the top Elite is $47,470, which is barely cheaper than the Denali. A base 2016 Ford Explorer is more costly at $31,995 (after $945 destination), and the Platinum for $53,915 is several thousand more than a Denali. The latest Acadia offers customers a bounty of tech and efficient powertrains. The IntelliLink infotainment system has support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and there're available safety systems like front pedestrian braking and a surround view camera. Most models come with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder, which GMC estimates gets 22 miles per gallon city and 28 mpg highway with front-wheel drive. A 310-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 offers an estimated 25 mpg highway for front-wheel drive models. Both powertrains use a six-speed automatic.
