1992 GMC Typhoon. Bought it 1 1/2 years ago from Arizona, and it spent its whole life in the rust free west. Ive only had it in the snow twice, so this is a rust free/clean truck. Im the 3rd owner, the 2nd was a dealer, so im really only 2nd person to use this truck. I got it stock except for a dual exhaust that i removed and welded up. This truck could use a new cat back system due to age of it, and its not bent right, it hits the body at full body decent. I have done all the correct suggested upgrades that the guys at SyTy.net have proposed. RPM Cold Air Intake and K&N Filter, Sportmachines Silicone Vacuum line kit, Walbro 255 Fuel pump, Racetronix hotwire kit, Bilstein Shocks and Belltech leafs, AFPR, full tune up- plugs, wires, cap, rotor, Fuel Pressure gauge on rail, 2 pod pillar with Boost gauge in it and 1 pod open, TurboTweak Chip with 3 bar map professionally tuned by Tom Rossi for street use. Tires have 5,000 miles on them, replaced battery, starter and Idler arm recently. Probably could use lower ball joints in the front. Body is in very good shape, not perfect, but a real nice driver. Truck was originally White/Grey, was painted 5 years ago a real sharp Pearl Red. You would have to search hard to find evidence of color change, they did a nice job. Has some nicks and stuff, only real issue is back bumper corners, one side is cracked a little, other side is chipped and i touched it up. Truck runs awesome, shifts perfect and is a blast to drive. Interior in great shape, lid on center console is broken like all of them and two small cracks in dash. Seats are nice for a 20 year old truck! Turns heads everywhere i go, and leaves alot of cars behind. Turbo boosts to 14-15 on Super, 17-18 on Higher octane fuels. Motor was compession tested and leak tested, all good. Turbo lines leak alittle, common with age of the truck, easy replacement. Has brand new Kenwood Radio and a 10'' Pioneer Flat sub, all works great, stereo sounds great. Im sure im forgetting stuff and i will list more as i remember. I always wanted a TY and hate to let it go, just bought a house and blah blah blah.. :-( If you ever wanted one of these to drive and enjoy, this is your truck. One of a kind color, reliable, fast and rare. No trailer queen here. I enjoy my vehicles, and take care of them as well. Priced to sell, and fair value for THIS truck. Obviuosly sold As-is with no warranty, but be confident in a great truck at a great price. Clean carfax and title in hand. This truck is not for the light hearted, these are built for men who love speed and not afraid to get dirty. Looks fast sitting still, and needs a good home. Good luck to all, ask any questions you want as i tried to list everything i know and did.

2022 Rivian R1T vs. 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning vs. GMC Hummer EV Pickup | How they compare on paper
Tue, Sep 28 2021The 2022 Rivian R1T has arrived, ushering in the era of the production electric pickup truck. The Rivian reviews are in, and spoiler alert: They're pretty good. Curious how the new battery-powered truck stacks up to its forthcoming competitors? Well, you've come to the right place. Rivian beat all of Detroit's big automakers to market in the half-ton segment, but probably not by the margin the startup would have liked. Ford's answer is the F-150 Lightning, which is due to enter production early next year, coming hot on the heels of GM's first entry into the space – the GMC Hummer EV pickup – which is scheduled to come off the line late this fall. While all three are pickups, they're aimed at distinctly different buyers, as a perusal of their specifications will reveal. Let's have a look, shall we?  Disclaimer: Before we dive in on this one, we'd like to note that while we've made our best effort to verify the specs provided, the Rivian is brand-new and the others are still in the prototype phase. Some of these figures may be inaccurate or may simply change before production. This is all hypothetical until you can actually cross-shop them anyway, right? Cool. End disclaimer. Let's start with the powertrains. They're all battery-electric trucks engineered on a modular rear-wheel-drive configuration engineered to accommodate (theoretically, anyway) up to four electric drive units. Rivian actually makes the most use of this with a quad-motor setup producing 835 horsepower and 908 pound-feet of torque with its high-output initial model. GMC's three-motor Hummer has the R1T beat with its estimated 1,000-horsepower output, while Ford's (also three-motor) comes in with a far more modest 563 horses. This is an excellent illustration of our above point that these are not all engineered for the same crowd. Ford's F-150, which comes in at a lower price point, is meant to be far more mainstream, as its power output suggests. This theme continues when we look at the dimensions. Despite the image "Hummer" may conjure, GMC's entry actually needs the shallowest parking space. The Rivian is right behind it, with the work-truck-spec Ford extending more than a foot longer than either. What the Hummer lacks in length, it makes up for in girth. It's the widest by a good 5 inches. The Rivian is only slightly pudgier than the F-150, but it's much closer at that end of the scale.
Next-gen GM SUVs caught wearing new boxy bodies [w/video]
Wed, 15 May 2013We recently drove the brand-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and found it to be vastly improved compared to the outgoing model. And now that The General's pickup trucks have been squared away, it's time to focus our attention onto their passenger-friendly companions, the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon (above).
Our spy photographers have passed along a huge smattering of photos (and a video), showing the new SUVs out testing. Both the short- and long-wheelbase models were spied, and while the overall shape of the vehicles hasn't changed all that much, we expect the updates to be substantial. In addition to new powertrain options, like GM's new small-block V8, we expect the interiors of both SUVs to get massive makeovers, providing better materials throughout their cabins and quieter, more refined environments. We even hear that some trick new suspension developments may be in store for upper-end models.
Visually, these spy shots allow us to see a couple of new details on the SUVs' front and rear fascias, including LED running lamps on the Yukon and some interesting LED taillamp treatments. Of course, the obvious third party missing from this set of photos is the Cadillac Escalade, but as we reported earlier, GM is working to further differentiate the 'Slade from the rest of the fullsize SUV lineup, and is working to make the new model "much less ostentatious."
Watch GM's new pickup crash its way to five-star NHTSA ratings
Thu, 09 Jan 2014General Motors has just scored a big win with its Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks, acing the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration New Car Assessment Program. The two full-size trucks had already netted a five-star Overall Vehicle Score in their crew-cab variants, but the new testing certifies them as five-star trucks in both regular and double-cab bodystyles, so GM's trucks offer top ratings across the board.
"Our incredibly capable trucks have been engineered to be some of the safest," Gay Kent, GM's general director of Vehicle Safety and Crashworthiness said. "We've designed the vehicle structure, strategically placed high-strength steel and developed the occupant restraint system to achieve high levels of safety performance."
The scores mark the Silverado and Sierra as the first pickups to net five-star scores since NHTSA beefed up their testing regime in 2011, a nice feather in GM's cap as it continues to slug out the pickup truck wars with crosstown rivals Ford and Ram.
