For sale we have a great work horse! 2002 GMC Sierra 3500HD 4x4. This extended cab dually Duramax was a recent trade in for a newer vehicle. The truck run and drives like a champ! The truck features the reliable 6.6L Duramax Turbo DIESEL motor attached to the allison automatic tranny! The motor fires up regardless of how cold it is and it idles smoothly with plenty of power and torque. With only 112-k miles this motor has just broken in! The tranny shifts smoothly as it should thru out all the gears. The 4x4 engages like it should with no problems. The truck has a nice utility box in the back. The box has some rust upon the edges but still in good shape. The cab is in good conditions for its age with few nicks and marks and imperfections. The truck is super healthy and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere! Fly down and drive the truck back home with no worries.

Alaska 7.0 earthquake uproots road but leaves vehicle completely intact
Fri, Nov 30 2018A magnitude-7 earthquake hit the Anchorage, Alaska area hard Friday morning and actually caused the National Weather Service to issue a tsunami warning it later canceled. As the news came rolling in, we noticed these photos of a road affected by the quake. The pictures are jaw-dropping, and we still can't believe that GMC Terrain is sitting there entirely unscathed. It looks like a scene straight out of an action movie when Earth is unexplainably collapsing all around the main characters as they race for safety. It probably wouldn't have mattered if the driver had the four-cylinder or V6 to try and escape the massive sinkhole. However, maybe Alaskans could consider the Lamborghini Urus to outrun collapsing roads if they're in the market for an all-wheel-drive SUV. Thankfully, there are no deaths or even injuries being reported as of now, but damage to buildings and roads is severe in some spots. We still can't believe how lucky this person is. It looks like some industrious folks were even able to pull the GMC out of its sinkhole completely intact too. Impressive. We'll keep you updated if there are any developments to this disaster. 2018 GMC Sierra Denali 1500 Drivers' Notes | Chrome cowboy
Wed, Dec 20 2017No matter how much automakers want to charge for trucks, it seems there will be a market. Ford, Ram and GM all have trucks that can push well over $60,000, something that would sound unbelievable even 10 years ago. That brings us to the 2018 GMC Sierra Denali, GM's top dog in the pseudo-lux truck segment. It's packed with tons of goodies and features, but it's starting to feel a little long in the tooth. Still, GM trucks are some of the best selling vehicles in America, so it seems customers don't mind the age. Associate Editor Reese Counts: I've said it before, but I'm not a big truck guy. Give me a Colorado or Tacoma over any of the full-sized behemoths rolling off assembly lines today. Still, I do enjoy taking one home on occasion, especially one as comfortable and well appointed as this Sierra Denali. There's leather and wood and contrasted stitching throughout. The problem is that it's all a veneer over what's becoming an extremely dated truck, though a new one is on the horizon. There's one big thing that truly bothers me about this truck: no keyless entry or ignition. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem doing things the old-fashioned way, but when literally every other competitor at this price has keyless as standard equipment, the fact that GMC (and Chevy for that matter) still require you to pull out a fob and stick a key into an ignition is really glaring. It has to have something to do with the platform, as GM makes plenty of vehicles that don't require a key. One thing that doesn't feel dated is the ride and performance. This truck is equipped with GM's Magnetic Ride Control, and it works wonders for the Sierra's comfort. It would be even better if it wasn't wearing some gaudy 22-inch wheels, but it's still better than a lot of trucks out there. The powertrain, too, is a nice bright spot. The eight-speed automatic is smooth and never feels lost in the hunt for better fuel economy. The 6.2-liter V8 feels strong, and power comes on smooth and easy. Ford's EcoBoosts may win on fuel economy, but there's nothing like a big, burly V8. Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Snyder: Despite the massive amounts of guilt I feel every time I put my foot to the accelerator, big trucks — something of which I used to steer well clear — are beginning to warm up on me. That being said, others have made more of an impression on me than this Sierra.

And that wait ends tonight at 8 p.m. eastern time when GM pulls the covers off the truck. You can see the whole reveal right here, or during the World Series on Fox or "The Voice" on NBC. GMC has previously announced it will have up to 1,000 horsepower, and it will have a variety of fun features such as removable roof panels and four-wheel steering that can move the truck sort of sideways with "Crab Mode." The GMC Hummer will also be available in pickup and SUV forms. So be sure to tune in tonight for one of the biggest (figuratively and literally) vehicle reveals of the year.
