Up for Auction is my 2011 GMC HD2500 Diesel 4x4.  Allison 6 speed automatic trans.

If you are looking for a near perfect truck that has been properly and meticulously maintained, then this is

the one.  I purchased this truck new on February 11, 2011.  It has had all of the maintenance performed at the

certified GMC dealer where it was purchased, and I have every service receipt.  The oil was changed every

5,000 miles, and all of the other items that were scheduled at the mileage intervals were also performed,

such as tire rotations and other lubrications.  Almost all miles are highway.  Garaged every night.  Plenty of tread left on the tires

The truck was used to pull a gooseneck trailer to Grand Rapids,MI, and to pull my sons camper.  Also used for personal transportation.

The Line-x bed liner was installed when it was new, over top of a clean and scratch-free bed and rails.

I also have all of the original documents, window sticker, all owners manuals, both keys and key fobs

in working order.  I purchased this truck with the intent of having it for a very long time, but circumstances have

changed, and I simply no longer need it.

The best part of this truck are the factory features that it has which make driving and pulling with it very comfortable.

The automatic factory exhaust brake engages itself as the truck is decelerating.  The harder you brake, the more it will engage.

You can turn it on via a button on the dash, and leave it on the whole trip.  It is fully automatic.  Turn it off via the same switch when you

don't need it.  The trailer brake is also built-in, fully adjustable, and displays the level of braking in the instrument panel.

I added the auxillary fuel tank, which holds an additional 37 gallons of fuel.  It is connected to the tank via a small valve, shown in the pics.

You can fill the tank before the start of a trip, and as you use fuel from the main tank, you can replenish it from the auxillary tank by opening

the valve.  It fills slowly as you drive, and it's kind of neat watching your fuel gauge rise as you drive.  The built-in check valve keeps the main

tank from overflowing should you forget to turn it off.  I also added the gooseneck hitch.  The gooseneck ball is removable, via a lever you pull from the rear inner fenderwell.

Simply pull the lever and remove the ball, and you have a flat surface in the bed again.

Add in the XM radio tuned to your favorite station, and you are off for a comfortable road trip.

Many other options as well, such as remote start for those cold mornings, adjustable pedals, backup alarm, ipod connection to stereo, radio controls in the

steering wheel, dual zone climate control and of course, all of the more usual items such as power windows, air conditioning and cruise control.

Factory towing package w/ trans cooler, reese hitch and light socket.

The diesel engine runs perfect, and the Allison trans shifts perfect.  The truck will get around 21-22 mpg running empty, and around

10-14 mpg when trailering, depending on your speed, the weight of the trailer, any head winds, etc.  The thing makes loads of

power, and it is like not even having a trailer back there.  There is no comparison to a gas engine.  The only item on this engine that did not come

from the factory is the external coolant filter you see in the pics.  It filters the impurities in the antifreeze, and adds coolant capacity, thereby extending the

life of the engine.  This was added by a reputable, local, professional shop, that specializes in diesel engines.

The driveline is still warranted for 100,000 miles, factory warranty from GMC.

The only flaws of the truck are as follows: small parking lot ding in drivers door.  Some stains on the front drivers seat.

Both are shown in the pics. Also, a couple of small chips/scratches on the tailgate cap, which is plastic.  Purely cosmetic and barely noticeable.

Beyond this, the truck is spotless.  This truck has been in (1) minor accident.  Another car turned in front of my son, and he hit the car.  It was in Michigan,

a no-fault state.  The damage was $3,400, and it was repaired at the same GMC dealer that I bought it from.  I have that receipt as well.  The damage

was minimal.  The airbags did not deploy.  The front bumper, grill and A/C cooler were replaced, along w/ several brackets and such.  The hood, radiator and

fenders were untouched.  No paint work was required.  Bolt on parts only.  The damage was so minor that my son continued w/ his scheduled run.  No tow or

down time.

Shipping is FREE is you live within 350 miles of 43420, using mapquest.  That is one-way.  Purchase this truck and I will bring it

to your door for free, within that distance.  If you live further, email me and we can discuss options.  I can deliver further for a fee.

I will also work with any shipper, but you must arrange and pay for shipping.  USHIP is a great site for this, and very easy to use.

Delivery would take place within a few days of auction end, after the initial deposit is made via Paypal.  The balance of the transaction

would be cash only.  No checks please.  Clear title in my hand, no gimmicks here, and none expected from the buyer.  Be ready to buy if you bid.

Bid with complete confidence.  Read my feedback.  I am not a dealer, nor do I "flip" cars for a profit.  This is my personal vehicle.

The reserve price is very close to the starting bid.

Feel free to email with any questions you may have.  I will answer as promptly as possible.

Thanks for looking!

2019 GMC Sierra AT4 gives Raptor and Ram a new off-road rival

Tue, Mar 27 2018

The 2019 GMC Sierra AT4 blends off-road hardware into a modern, thoroughly updated pickup truck that doesn't skimp on power, luxury, or safety equipment. From its higher suspension setup to its available carbon-fiber cargo bed and the new MultiPro tailgate, the 2019 Sierra AT4 is a direct shot across the bow — or cargo beds, if you prefer — of staunch rivals like the Ford F-150, Dodge Ram and Toyota Tundra. Revealed tonight in New York City, ahead of this week's New York International Auto Show, the truck may seem to be in a strange setting. Then again, with the amount of tire-swallowing potholes currently scattered around the Big Apple, a rugged truck like the Sierra AT4 could be the perfect vehicle for either off-road excursions or an especially bumpy commute. Riding two inches higher than the standard 2019 Sierra, the AT4 comes with standard features like all-wheel-drive with a two-speed transfer case, locking rear differential, Rancho monotube shock absorbers designed specifically for off-roading, along with skid plates and 18- or 20-inch alloy wheels fitted with all-terrain tires or optional, mud-loving Goodyear Wrangler Duratecs. Hill descent control and GMC's Traction Select system are also standard. The latter of these two lets the driver choose between preset drive modes, suitable for various types of terrain and weather conditions. The system then adjusts throttle response, shift points, and the electronic stability control according to each mode. Related: 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 buying guide "The 2019 Sierra AT4 is designed for the customer who wants an elevated presence on the road and the capability to venture off life's beaten path," said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global GMC. "It's also the beginning for the AT4 brand, which will be seen on every vehicle in our lineup in the next two years." Based on the new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, the GMC Sierra (including the AT4 model) looks to stand out from its corporate cousin in terms luxury touches, along with some subtle exterior details. For the AT4, these visible differences include a body color grill surround and bumpers. Meanwhile, the inner grille, front fog-lights and faux fender vents feature a black-chrome finish. It's not flashy, which is probably exactly what GMC wanted for its upscale truck. The standard engine is a 5.3-liter V8, though buyers can choose an optional 3.0-liter turbo-diesel inline-six or 6.2-liter V8.

Average transaction prices climb to a record $36,270 in January

Sat, Feb 3 2018

The automotive sector made a hash of the numbers last month, a mess of pluses and minuses clogging the transaction-price charts according to Kelley Blue Book. The overall industry rose one percent, even though buyers bought fewer cars and light vehicles in January 2018 vs 2017 using the selling-day adjusted rate. Due to January transaction prices rising to $36,270, a record for January, the value of new vehicles sold climbed more than $1 billion compared to January 2017. KBB's transaction prices don't include customer incentives, which changes the complexion slightly; average incentive spending rose to just over ten percent. The average transaction price in December 2017 was $36,756, so January dropped a bit - nothing unexpected, with the month annually blamed for "January doldrums." More revealing is the fact that the average transaction price in January 2017 was $34,910. This year's plumped-up figure came courtesy of the continued shift to crossovers, SUVs, and light trucks, which shouldn't surprise anyone who's read an automotive blog in the past 20 years. That category comprised nearly 70 percent of new vehicle sales for the month. Some manufacturers profited more than others, though. Fiat Chrysler managed 12.8 percent fewer sales in January compared year-on-year, but the company's vehicles sold for $1,300 more. The Ford brand suffered a 6.3-percent dip in sales, but brand transaction prices increased $2,000, while a Lincoln sold for $8,700 more on average. General Motors sold more cars and sold them for more money; overall GM transaction prices rose four percent, or $1,270, while a GMC traded hands for seven-percent more than in January 2017 and a Cadillac got $2,300 more on average. Of KBB's listed automakers, the Volkswagen Group got the most of out its customers, transaction prices rising at the German automaker by 5.6 percent to $42,243 in January 2018 compared to a year earlier. American Honda followed with a 4.3-percent increase to $28,991, GM in third at 4.1 percent to $40,313. Find your next car at Autoblog using our new and used car listings or the Car Finder tool. Broken out by segment, minivans rocked the table, transaction prices leaping by 7.9 percent to $35,380 compared to January a year earlier. Luxury cars boasted the next-highest rise, at 3.6 percent to $58,533.
