2008 GMC K2500 CREW CAB 4X4 Z71 SHORTBED DURAMAX DIESEL PICKUP TRUCK THAT DOES EVERYTHING RIGHT. I HAD NO INTENTION OF SELLING THIS TRUCK BUT AN ESTATE DEAL CAME MY WAY ON A NEW TRUCK THAT I JUST COULDN'T TURN DOWN. I'M GOING TO MISS THIS TRUCK, IT HAS BEEN WONDERFUL TO ME AND DOES ANYTHING I ASK IT TO. BLOWS ICE COLD A/C ON ME AND THE ALLISON SIX SPEED SHIFTS ALL BY ITSELF PERFECT EVERY TIME.  THE DURAMAX DIESEL COULDN'T HUMANLY RUN ANY BETTER AND IT WILL FLY IF YOU STEP ON IT. IT'S KILLIN' ME BECAUSE I JUST PUT FOUR NEW TIRES ON IT THAT COST A SMALL FORTUNE AND SHE JUST FLOATS DOWN THE HIGHWAY. THE TOOL BOX IN THE PICTURE IS NOT INCLUDED. I HAVE THE TRUCK PROFESSIONALLY DETAILED TWICE A MONTH AND IT WILL BE DONE ONE MORE TIME RIGHT BEFORE THE NEW OWNER TAKES DELIVERY. SHE'S A LITTLE DIRTY IN THE PICTURES BUT NOT FOR LONG.

THE TRUCK HAS MOST OPTIONS AND NO LEATHER. THE CLOTH SEATS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND THERE IS A SMALL AMOUNT OF CRACKING ON THE DRIVERS ARMREST THAT I TOOK A PICTURE OF. THERE IS A SMALL REPAIR THE SIZE OF A GOLF BALL WHERE IT WAS HIT BY A BICYCLE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE RIGHT REAR DOOR. THE TRUCK HAS POWER SEATS, TILT STEERING. CRUISE CONTROL, CD STEREO WITH STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS, FACTORY ALUMINUM WHEELS, FOLD DOWN ARM REST WITH STORAGE AND I'M SURE THERE'S MORE I HAVENT THOUGHT OF. I'LL STILL BE DRIVING IT TO AND FROM WORK FOR A FEW DAYS SO THE MILEAGE WILL CHANGE A LITTLE. SHE HAS NEVER LEAKED A DROP OF WATER OR OIL AND I'VE NEVER HAD TO ADD A DROP OF OIL BETWEEN OIL CHANGES. PLEASE CALL STEVE WITH ANY QUESTIONS UP UNTIL 10PM EASTERN TIME. MY CELL PHONE IS 772-201-1905. ALL OFFERS AND TRADES WILL BE CHEERFULLY CONSIDERED NO MATTER HOW RIDICULOUS. I MAY ADVERTISE LOCALLY AND I WILL CLOSE THE AUCTION OUT EARLY IF I GET AN OFFER THAT MAKES ME HAPPY. THANKS FOR LOOKING AND GOD BLESS AMERICA.

2015 GMC Yukon Denali

Tue, 25 Mar 2014

Automotive enthusiasts often wonder aloud - ourselves included - why General Motors would choose to keep GMC while sending Pontiac (and Saturn, and even Oldsmobile before it) into the great automotive graveyard in the sky. The answer, as is so often the case, is profit. It's much easier for GM to rake in money hand over fist by rejiggering the trucks, crossovers and SUVs that it would already be developing for Chevrolet and making them a bit more luxurious and *ahem* "Professional Grade" with new grilles, badges and unique packaging for GMC.
While it may sound like we're being cynical, we totally approve of GM's fullsize SUV strategy. The least-expensive way to get into the fold is with the Chevrolet Tahoe, which starts at $45,595 with a 5.3-liter V8 engine and a cloth interior. Bumping that same Chevy to LTZ trim and its $59,995 sticker price lands a much nicer leather-clad interior and more techno-bells and whistles than you can shake a stick at. But it still looks like a Tahoe, and it still comes with the smaller 5.3-liter engine. Or, you could do what we'd do: Walk into your GMC dealer and take a look at the Yukon Denali. Here's why.

J.D. Power customer survey of dealers counts Cadillac, Buick as big winners

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Cadillac and Buick have taken the trophies in J.D. Power's latest Customer Service Index Study examining satisfaction with dealer service. Surveying more than 90,000 owners and lessees of 2009-2013 model-year cars, the study found that those with pre-paid maintenance packages were ten percent more likely to buy their next car from the same brand.
Dealer satisfaction scores have improved overall, Cadillac nabbed the luxury segment ahead of Audi and Lexus, taking the crown that Lexus held last year. Buick keeps the mass-market dealer satisfaction win in the family, finishing ahead of Volkswagen and last year's winner GMC. The study also found that service department use of tablets increased customer satisfaction, as did "best practices" like "providing helpful advice." Who knew?
You can find details on those and more findings in the press release below.

Frustrated GM investors ask what more Mary Barra can do

Mon, Oct 22 2018

DETROIT — General Motors Co Chief Executive Mary Barra has transformed the No. 1 U.S. automaker in her almost five years in charge, but that is still not enough to satisfy investors. Ahead of third-quarter results due on Oct. 31, GM shares are trading about 6 percent below the $33 per share price at which they launched in 2010 in a post-bankruptcy initial public offering. The Detroit carmaker's stock is down 22 percent since Barra took over in January 2014. After hitting an all-time high of $46.48 on Oct. 24, 2017, the shares have declined 33 percent. In the same period, the Standard & Poor's 500 index has climbed 7.8 percent. Several shareholders contacted by Reuters said GM could face a third major action by activist shareholders in less than four years if the share price does not improve. "I've been expecting it," said John Levin, chairman of Levin Capital Strategies. "It just seems a tempting morsel to somebody." Levin's firm owns more than seven million GM shares. Barra has guided the company through the settlement of a federal criminal probe of a mishandled safety recall, sold off money-losing European operations, and returned $25 billion to shareholders through dividends and stock buybacks from 2012 through 2017. GM declined to comment for this story, but the company's executives privately express frustration with the market's reluctance to see it as anything more than a manufacturer tied mainly to auto market sales cycles. GM's profitable North American truck and SUV business and its money-making China operations are valued at just $14 billion, excluding the value of GM's stake in its $14.6 billion Cruise automated vehicle business and its cash reserves from its $44 billion market capitalization. The recent slump in the Chinese market, GM's largest, and plateauing U.S. demand are ratcheting up the pressure. GM is one of the few global automakers without a founding family or a government to serve as a bulwark against corporate raiders. In 2015, a group led by investor Harry Wilson pressed GM to launch a $5 billion share buyback, and commit to what is now an $18 billion ceiling on the level of cash the company would hold. In 2017, GM fended off a call by hedge fund manager David Einhorn to split its common stock shares into two classes. Einhorn, whose firm still owned more than 21 million shares at the end of June, declined to comment about GM's stock price. Other investors said there were no clear alternatives to Barra's approach.
