Purchased a new GMC 2500HD and need to sell this awesome truck pretty quick. I have owned this truck about 45k
miles. Non-Smoker, Southern Rust Free truck (Texas and South Carolina till last June) 2005 GMC Sierra, 4x4
Duramax/Allison 2500hd, 204k, Viper remote start, power adjust tow mirrors with heat and turn signals. Truck has 1
ton rear leafs and has been re-geared front and back 4.56 to make it drive and shift at same RPM as stock tires and
stock gears. Will pull anything, has goose neck as well. Front end is all built/new, (Kognito steering braces, Rare
Parts HD tie rods, New Moog Idler, New front shocks, new steering stabilizer. Drives very straight and great for
its size. 8" Fabtech, Brand New Toyo R/T's 37x13.50 on H2 Hummer Rims. 5" SS MBRP exhaust with SS muffler, S&B
turbo elbow, Diablo handheld tow tune loaded. Interior has zero tears, power drivers seat. 3 in 1 single gauge on
pod in white that looks clean and shows Boost, Egt, and Trans temp. Upper traction bar on rear axle. Every factory
option works, Bushwacker cutout flares installed with fresh paint 1 year ago. Professionally tinted OEM tail
lights, cleared front head lights. Factory Bose with aftermarket CD player. Truck is setup right and gets
compliments every time you take it out! Don't let the mileage on this truck change your mind, truck is solid!
Negative things worth noting. Truck is a non-smoker, but has been smoked in at some point with a couple small ash
burn marks on drivers seat and one on rear middle seat. Again I'm a non smoker and this truck does not smell like
smoke. Front bumper has some paint coming off from high pressure washing bugs off. Rear has a small dent on right
rear corner and tail gate has a couple very small marks from something only noticeable up very close. Overall truck
is very clean, one of the cleanest and nicest you will find for this year.

2014 Chevy Silverado priced from *$24,585, V8 gets better economy than Ford EcoBoost V6
Mon, 01 Apr 2013Chevrolet has thrown down the next hand in the pickup truck poker wars and revealed at least a couple of potential aces - depending on which numbers matter most to you. The 2014 2014 Silverado 1500 with its 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 gets 335 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, is mated to a six-speed automatic, can tow 11,500 pounds with the optional Max Trailer Package and costs the same as the outgoing Silverado, $24,585 (*including $995 destination fee). Chevy says the Silverado also stands atop the fuel economy charts when comparing any competitor with a V8 engine - and some competitors with V6 engines. The two-wheel drive model returns 16 miles per gallon city, 23 mpg highway, 19 mpg combined in two-wheel drive guise and 16 mpg city, 22 mpg highway and 18 mpg combined as a four-wheel drive.
For context around those numbers, the most fuel efficient V8-powered 2013 Ford F-150 pickups lose about two mpg in every metric compared to the Silverado, the 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost returning 16 city, 18 highway and 22 combined in two-wheel drive. However, that EcoBoost does have 365 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. You can get a Ram 1500 with a 3.6-liter V6 that gets 25 mpg highway, but it has 305 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. The 2013 Ram with the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 and its 395 hp and 407 lb-ft drops one mpg in every category to the Silverado. Its tow rating is 200 pounds beyond its nearest competitor, the F-150 with the Max Trailer Tow Package.
Elsewhere, the new Silverado gets a quieter cab with a redesigned interior, a new bed with improved load-management possibilities, disc brakes all around, tweaked steering and suspension, along with free standard scheduled maintenance for two years or 24,000 miles.
GM files for Z71 Trail Boss trademark
Mon, Jan 26 2015Try as they might to keep their plans a secret, automakers have their hands tipped through a variety of methods – be they through loose lips, spy shots or patent and trademark applications. That's how we know, in this instance, that General Motors is working on (or at least considering) an off-road machine wearing the name Z71 Trail Boss – the name which our compatriots at AutoGuide.com tell us that GM has registered for use on light-duty trucks. Now if that alphanumeric designator sounds familiar, it should. GM has long used it to designate the off-road packages on many of its body-on-frame trucks from Chevy and GMC. These days you can order a Z71 package on the Chevy Colorado, Silverado, Tahoe and Suburban and on the GMC Canyon, Sierra and Yukon. The package typically includes components like a beefed-up suspension bits, high-capacity air cleaner and underbody protection plates. The Trail Boss designator would seem to suggest something further reaching than a suspension package, though. Just what it would entail we don't know; minds immediately start running toward Chevy or GMC going after the Ford F-150 Raptor, but we'll likely be looking at something closer to the Trailhawk packages Jeep offers on the likes of the Renegade and Cherokee. GM 6.2L V8 claims most powerful light-duty truck engine title
Thu, 12 Sep 2013General Motors has officially captured the horsepower crown for mainstream pickup trucks with its 6.2-liter V8. The big mill, available in both the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, comes to market with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, handily outdoing its two cross-town competitors, Ram (5.7-liter V8, 395 ponies and 407 lb-ft) and Ford (6.2-liter V8, 411 hp and 434 lb-ft).
The new GM 6.2 will take a bit of an investment, though. Those that want the extra thrust will need to go with either the LTZ or High Country trims from the Chevy, or the SLT and Denali trims from GMC, which are the two highest trim levels for the respective vehicles. Trim levels aside, if you're in the business of towing, GM has you covered. Optioned with the 6.2-liter V8 and the Max Trailering Package, owners will be able to pull 12,000 pounds, a hugely impressive figure.
We still aren't certain as to what sort of economy the new engine will get, but it'll probably be a bad bet for the fuel conscious. As for availability, expect to see the 6.2-liter trucks in showrooms later in the fall.
