I am selling my 2003 GMC 2500HD truck with the 6.6L Duramax diesel and the Allison 5speed automatic.  I bought it new at Bommarito GMC in St. Louis MO.  I had it serviced either there or at Riley Chevrolet in Jefferson City, MO which bough out our local GMC dealer.  I am the only owner, the history report will show a transfer of ownership to my business name recently.  I bought this when I was dating my wife 10 years ago.  We are expecting our 6th child this May and I've decided to get an extended cab so I can take some of my kids to events now that they are getting older.  It's been a good truck.  The first year a little car hit my front wheel and damaged it, other than that it's only had dings and scratches from work, I included pictures of some of them.  I had to use a small bolt to hold on the front bumper cover corner, they like to pop off.   There is a crease in the back bumper.  The body and chassis are in good shape except for the bottom of the tailgate which has rusted.  I live on a paved road so it's been kept clean underneath.   I have a file full of maintenance records.  I changed the oil every 10,000 miles and I changed the transmission fluid and filter every 15,000 miles or every year if I had down time in the winter.  It got regular air filter changes.  Around 90,000 miles I had the brakes, all fluids, and the fuel injectors replaced.  I also had the transfer case rebuilt because of the clip that causes oil loss in these trucks.  I can tell the injectors have worn because I can smell some fuel, they will probably need to be replaced again in the next 40,00 miles.  It's had all the TSB updates like the heater control relay.  Mechanically it has no leaks and no problems at all.  The interior is in good condition except for the driver's side power lock motor not working.   Right now it has new Bilstein shocks and brand new Firestone tires.  There is a nice spray-in bedliner in the bed.  It has a 5th wheel hitch which I haven't used since 2005.  The ball is frozen in the down position, it could be freed with a hammer.  The snowplow is a Western UltraMount 7.5' plow with pro-wings.  I painted it and bought a new hydraulic motor and pump assembly last year after the old one started hesitating randomly.  We don't get a lot of snow in southern Missouri but when we did it did a good job.  It works flawlessly.  I used to pull lawnmowers with this truck until about 2007 and since them I've used it as my estimate truck.  I seldom pull anything with it anymore.   My wife drove it for a year when we were first married, I got an old 90's Chevy 2500.  She is sad it's leaving.  I should have bought an extended cab!

I will remove the door decals for the buyer.  I would also sell the truck without the plow if someone is interested in that.

 Call 573-219-0980 with questions.

I accept checks, wire transfer, or cash but if you pay with any kind of check including cashier's checks they have to clear before the truck can leave.  I have a clear title with no lien so if you pay you can take it with you.  I could pick up the buyer at the Columbia, MO airport and then it could be driven home.  It's a good truck, it will make a long trip on the highway.

2022 Rivian R1T vs. 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning vs. GMC Hummer EV Pickup | How they compare on paper

Tue, Sep 28 2021

The 2022 Rivian R1T has arrived, ushering in the era of the production electric pickup truck. The Rivian reviews are in, and spoiler alert: They're pretty good. Curious how the new battery-powered truck stacks up to its forthcoming competitors? Well, you've come to the right place. Rivian beat all of Detroit's big automakers to market in the half-ton segment, but probably not by the margin the startup would have liked. Ford's answer is the F-150 Lightning, which is due to enter production early next year, coming hot on the heels of GM's first entry into the space – the GMC Hummer EV pickup – which is scheduled to come off the line late this fall. While all three are pickups, they're aimed at distinctly different buyers, as a perusal of their specifications will reveal. Let's have a look, shall we?   Disclaimer: Before we dive in on this one, we'd like to note that while we've made our best effort to verify the specs provided, the Rivian is brand-new and the others are still in the prototype phase. Some of these figures may be inaccurate or may simply change before production. This is all hypothetical until you can actually cross-shop them anyway, right? Cool. End disclaimer. Let's start with the powertrains. They're all battery-electric trucks engineered on a modular rear-wheel-drive configuration engineered to accommodate (theoretically, anyway) up to four electric drive units. Rivian actually makes the most use of this with a quad-motor setup producing 835 horsepower and 908 pound-feet of torque with its high-output initial model. GMC's three-motor Hummer has the R1T beat with its estimated 1,000-horsepower output, while Ford's (also three-motor) comes in with a far more modest 563 horses. This is an excellent illustration of our above point that these are not all engineered for the same crowd. Ford's F-150, which comes in at a lower price point, is meant to be far more mainstream, as its power output suggests.  This theme continues when we look at the dimensions. Despite the image "Hummer" may conjure, GMC's entry actually needs the shallowest parking space. The Rivian is right behind it, with the work-truck-spec Ford extending more than a foot longer than either. What the Hummer lacks in length, it makes up for in girth. It's the widest by a good 5 inches. The Rivian is only slightly pudgier than the F-150, but it's much closer at that end of the scale.

Detroit Three's lucrative pickup war intensifies as Ram makes big gains

Thu, Jan 3 2019

DETROIT — The battle for profits from sales of large pickup trucks is intensifying among the Detroit Three automakers as sales of small cars in the United States shrivel. For decades Ford has had the single best-selling truck brand in its F-Series trucks. General Motors' Chevrolet brand was a solid No. 2, and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' Ram was a distant third. Now, that hierarchy may be in flux. Sales figures for December and the fourth quarter released on Thursday show Ram tied with GM's Chevy for the No. 2 spot, as sales of the redesigned Ram pickup surged, fueled in part by demand for an optional 12-inch (30.48 cm) dashboard screen. Chevy not long ago held second place to Ford by a wide margin. GM executives said on Thursday they are bullish on their new GMC and Chevy trucks for 2019.Related: How the Detroit Three's pickups compare on paper 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie review 2019 Chevy Silverado 2.7L four-cylinder review 2019 Ford F-150 2.7L EcoBoost review "There's no doubt this segment (pickup trucks) is one of the epicenters of the auto wars," said Sandor Piszar, director of marketing for Chevrolet at GM. "It's been that way forever, and we wouldn't have it any other way." On Wall Street, investors give electric car leader Tesla a higher valuation than any of the Detroit automakers. But in the nation's heartland, big pickups remain far more popular and profitable than any electric car — and most other consumer vehicles of any kind. Large pickups generate at least $17,000 a vehicle in pretax profit for GM, the company has indicated in disclosures to investors. By contrast, many Detroit Three sedans are so unprofitable, their manufacturers have decided not to build them anymore. 'Hotly contested' Sustaining sales and pricing in the large-pickup segment will be critical in a year when most forecasters expect overall U.S. car and light truck sales to fall. Ford's U.S. sales chief, Mark LaNeve, on Thursday called the F Series "the backbone of our franchise" during a conference call, and added the "segment will continue to be strong, but hotly contested" in 2019. Automakers are banking on pickup truck sales to stay strong even if U.S. interest rates continue to rise. Rising interest rates translate into higher monthly car payments and are expected to deter some buyers in 2019. GM has said 27 percent of Chevrolet and GMC trucks — which can haul trailers by day and substitute for a luxury sedan by night — sell for more than $55,000.
