Power plant is the rugged Vortec 5300 V8 SFI gasoline motor. The transmission is oil cooled 4 speed automatic w/ over drive. It is equipped with just about every option that was available at the time. I have the original order worksheet, at the time this was a $35K+ truck when it was brand new. The truck rides on 22's with low profile tires that were speed balance in April 2014, I also have the spinners that are part of the sale. Have the stock rims and tires that are in nice condition see the pictures. Use these tires in the winter. Passes

The add on's are: Custom grill, HD headlamps with daytime running LED lights, black mirrors, LED tailgate light bar, custom tail lights, trailer hitch believe 2 or 2 1/2" ball, new JVC deck with BOSE speakers all the way around. New front and rear chrome bumpers within the past year. Does not leak or burn any oil.
Floor mats front and rear over towels that protect the carpet. Have the original owners manuals, and the JVC manual in the glove box. Have all the maintenance receipts have never allow the truck to operate with any thing that needed repair or replacement. Driven by a mature male owner the truck has never been abused. The truck has been on many extended trips all over the USA. With oil changed as needed. Yes it might be a high milage truck but that shouldn't matter. Recently had a friend that sold his truck on E Bay for $6,100.00 with over 400K miles. It wasn't
even have as good looking and maintained as this truck. I am probably forgetting something. Look over the pictures, bottom of truck front back and side pictures of frame, outside, tires, interior, and what else I posted. Selling all my cars and this truck due to health issues.
Clear and clean title, no salvage, no accidents and nothing else to report. Believe the asking price is more than fair considering the condition. Thanks for looking.

GM 6.2L EcoTec V8 rated at 21 mpg by the EPA

Wed, 02 Oct 2013

General Motors is already laying claim to best-in-class power for its new 6.2-liter V8 that will be offered in the 2014 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra this fall, and now it has released fuel economy numbers for the big engine. Available as an option on the Silverado LTZ and High Country (shown above) models as well as the the Sierra SLT and Denali trims, the 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 will return 15 miles per gallon in the city and 21 mpg on the highway on rear-wheel-drive trucks; these numbers drop by one mpg each on four-wheel-drive models.
These estimates are in addition to the engine's 420 horsepower, 460 pound-feet of torque and max trailering capacity of 12,000 pounds, and considering all that power it's not terribly far away from the fuel economy of GM's equally new 4.3-liter V6 and its rating of 18 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. This announcement comes just days after a report indicated that GM is unable to keep up with the demand of the 5.3-liter V8 in the fullsize Chevy and GMC trucks due to supplier issues. GM's official press release for the 6.2-liter V8's fuel economy is posted below.

GM faces possible class action lawsuit over 8-speed transmission

Thu, Apr 25 2019

General Motors has been hit with a class-action lawsuit from owners who allege the eight-speed automatic transmission found in several rear-wheel-drive Chevrolet, Cadillac and GMC models between the 2015 and 2019 model years has a defect that causes the vehicles to hesitate and jerk when accelerating or slowing down. The lawsuit was posted to ClassAction.org and spotted by GM Authority. Problems with GM's Hydra-Matic 8L90 and 8L45 transmissions have been well-documented on Internet forums and via complaints filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, with many reporting damage to their vehicles. The lawsuit was first filed in December in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida but appears to have been transferred recently to New York. Autoblog sought comment from Theodore Leopold, the lead attorney for the plaintiffs. "These transmissions have a common defect," the complaint reads. "Drivers attempting to accelerate or decelerate their cars feel a hesitation, followed by a significant shake, shudder, jerk, clunk, or 'hard shift' when the vehicle's automatic transmission changes gears." The problem also occurs when the vehicles accelerate in a single gear, without shifting, the plaintiffs allege. "Drivers have reported that the shift is sometimes so violent, they feel as though they have been hit by another vehicle." The problem is believed to center on the transmission, torque converter or both. The complaint says it causes undue friction, causing hydraulic systems and gears to function improperly and sometimes leaves metal shavings throughout the transmission, leading to costly repairs and replacement of parts or the entire transmission. It says GM has known about the problems since shortly after it introduced the transmissions, and has issued 13 technical service bulletins, none of which have resolved the problem. GM declined to comment on the lawsuit. The plaintiffs say GM should have warned consumers about the issues and covered repairs under each vehicle's three-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty. They're seeking statewide classes in at least six states: California, Florida, Illinois, New York, Oklahoma and Texas.
