2011 GMC Sierra ALL TERRAIN SLE 5.3 4X4 V-8 Automatic
ONLY 35623 miles. Here's my 2011 GMC Sierra Pick-up with only 35623 meticulously maintained miles. Non-Smoker. Still 'smells' new inside! I have other vehicles and I just don't drive this as much as I thought I would. It has always been garage kept.. Economically gasoline powered 5.3L V-8 Automatic Transmission. 4 Wheel Drive. CD, Tilt, Cruise, etc. . Factory Chrome Wheels. Towing Package. This is a really nice truck that I simply don't need and I'm selling so someone else can enjoy it and get a great deal. Truck is in my garage in TEXAS. I recently added a $1500.00 in a quality sound system and another $1650.00 in POWERSTEP AUTOMATIC RUNNING BOARDS. I also installed leather seats.I also paid $1450.00 for the BF Goodrich Tires LT275/65R20. It had a medium hit on the front passenger side wher the door is. I bought the door and the fender OEM from the factory and were professionally installed by a certified body shop. The only parts that were replaced because of the accident were the door & passenger side fender. Diesel Power finds the ultimate modified oil-burner
Sat, 24 Aug 2013For nine years, Diesel Power magazine has run the Diesel Power Challenge, this year's grindfest being "a week-long torture test that features seven events, nine trucks, 8,000 horsepower, and nearly 15,000 pound-feet of torque." The road to being crowned "the most powerful truck" starts with a dyno run, and then continues through the completion of a CDL-style obstacle course, an eighth-of-a-mile drag race while towing a 10,000-pound trailer, a quarter-mile drag race without a trailer, a fuel economy test in the mountains and finally a sled-pulling test through a 300-foot-long packed-mud pit.
What kind of trucks get into such a fight? Last year's winner, for instance - who upgraded his truck this year to prove he didn't "luck into the win" - drives a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 6.4-liter Power Stroke V8 upgraded with a custom intake, Elite Diesel triple turbos and a two-stage nitrous system. Another competitor has a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 powered by a 5.9-liter Cummins inline-six, upgraded with Garrett turbos, dual-stage nitrous, a seven-inch exhaust stack and twin fans built into the bed to cool the Sun Coast Omega transmission. The numbers on that truck: 1,255 horsepower, and 2,063 pound-feet of torque at the wheels. Naturally, as the image above might suggest, things don't always end well.
You'll find all five videos covering this years challenge below. A scene in the dyno video sums it all up perfectly: a competitor leaves his nitrous on too long and the crew is treated to some ominous poppings, he leans out the window, throws both hands up and shouts, "Amer'ca!"
OnStar RemoteLink mobile app coming standard on all new GM vehicles
Thu, 06 Jun 2013As an evolution and improvement of its OnStar technology, General Motors has announced that it will be expanding the RemoteLink Mobile App on most 2014 model year Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac vehicles. The new, aptly named RemoteLink Key Fob Services will allow users to remotely operate all of the same systems as the car's key fob, including locking and unlocking the doors and remote starting (on vehicles equipped with a factory remote starter) using a smartphone.
These Key Fob Services will be free for five years - starting from the vehicle's delivery date - but the full suite of RemoteLink features will continue to be offered only with a subscription (trial or paid). These premium features include contacting a live adviser, getting turn-by-turn directions and remotely monitoring the vehicle's diagnostic systems.
