FOR SALE IS THIS VERY GOOD RUNNING SOUTHERN 2004 GMC SIERRA DENALI TRUCK. I used it for work mostly hwy driving and it has some wear and tear on both exterior and interior. It is a used vehicle and has a few scratches and dents but still a nice truck. Mechanically this truck runs like a charm and very strong. Transmission was replaced by a GMC dealer at 125k miles so its good for a long time. Also the starter/alternator/brakes/front tires are like new/recent replaced. Oil changes were done at every 3k miles. I am second owner and bought from my good friend which paid $46,000 for it new. No smoking or pets allowed. It was my favorite truck ever but I just bought a newer GMC diesel truck and need money to pay for this now. (Check nada and see what this truck is worth.)

If you bid on it, know you are getting a good and fast truck fully loaded including DVD player, with just cosmetic flaws. This truck will take you everywhere. Easiest truck to drive/park/u-turns etc...

The only thing that it needs now is the cluster guages re-calibrated which is $45 to $90 ebay (I will pay to highest bidder for parts) . This is a common issue with  GMC  vehicles. Odometer works good and is accurate. I used the GPS to tell speed.

This is a used vehicle and like all used cars it is SOLD AS IS WITH NO WARRANTY. Mileage might be slightly different from diving around town/work. Tool box and other personal things are not included in the sale.

Item Listed for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction early. Please bid responsibly, you enter a contract if you win the auction. Any questions please ask trough ebay and I will try to answer ASAP. Inspections are welcomed.

Payment is as follows: Cash, certified check, bank wire transfer and needs to clear funds before I release the vehicle/title. I will try help with airport pick-up and/or shipping vehicle, as much as I can.

Roadkill pits every project car against each other

Sat, 22 Feb 2014

The guys behind Motor Trend's monthly Roadkill series have collected nine of their favorite project cars from their videos and pitted them against each other in a battle royale to determine a winner. It's 44 minutes long, but it's completely worth the investment of time.
The cars run the gamut from a 1973 Chevrolet Ramp Truck, a 1975 AMC Pacer and a legitimately impressive 1967 Chevy Camaro, and they are pitted against each other to see which is the fastest around an autocross course. The drivers include Roadkill's two hosts and Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman and Carlos Lago. It's reminiscent of the best episodes of Top Gear and worth a watch.
So it's the weekend - the perfect time to relax. Grab your preferred beverage, get comfortable and enjoy 44 minutes of some seriously ratty but utterly cool project cars as they are throttled within an inch of their lives (or past it). Scroll down to check out the video.

GM files for Z71 Trail Boss trademark

Mon, Jan 26 2015

Try as they might to keep their plans a secret, automakers have their hands tipped through a variety of methods – be they through loose lips, spy shots or patent and trademark applications. That's how we know, in this instance, that General Motors is working on (or at least considering) an off-road machine wearing the name Z71 Trail Boss – the name which our compatriots at AutoGuide.com tell us that GM has registered for use on light-duty trucks. Now if that alphanumeric designator sounds familiar, it should. GM has long used it to designate the off-road packages on many of its body-on-frame trucks from Chevy and GMC. These days you can order a Z71 package on the Chevy Colorado, Silverado, Tahoe and Suburban and on the GMC Canyon, Sierra and Yukon. The package typically includes components like a beefed-up suspension bits, high-capacity air cleaner and underbody protection plates. The Trail Boss designator would seem to suggest something further reaching than a suspension package, though. Just what it would entail we don't know; minds immediately start running toward Chevy or GMC going after the Ford F-150 Raptor, but we'll likely be looking at something closer to the Trailhawk packages Jeep offers on the likes of the Renegade and Cherokee. Should heavy-duty pickup trucks have window stickers with fuel mileage estimates?

Sat, Sep 23 2017

If you were to stroll into your nearest Chevrolet, Ford, GMC, Nissan, or Ram dealership, you'd find a bunch of pickup trucks. Most of those would have proper window stickers labeled with things like base prices, options prices, location of manufacture, and, crucially, fuel economy estimates. But you'd also run across a number of heavy-duty trucks with no such fuel mileage data from the Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA doesn't require automakers to publish the valuable miles-per-gallon measurement for vehicles with gross weight ratings that exceed 8,500 pounds. That makes it difficult for consumers to compare behemoths powered by turbocharged diesel engines – between one another, and between smaller, gasoline-fueled trucks. Consumer Reports doesn't think it should be this way, and it's spearheading an effort (PDF link) to get the government to require manufacturers to publish fuel economy estimates. In its own testing, CR found that heavy-duty pickups powered by Ford's Power Stroke, GM's Duramax, and FCA's Cummins diesel engines (which doesn't include the Ram's EcoDiesel) get worse fuel mileage than their lighter-duty gas-powered siblings. We're not so sure HD-truck buyers are unaware of this fact – big diesels don't really come into their own until big loads are placed in their beds or attached to their trailer hitches. Under heavy workloads, the diesel trucks will almost certainly return greater efficiency than a similar gas-powered truck. What's more, HD trucks with lumbering diesels in general make the driver feel more confident while towing due to greater torque at low engine RPM than gas trucks. They also offer greater max-weight limits. Still, we agree EPA fuel mileage estimates should be offered for heavy-duty pickups. And we think the comparisons provided by Consumer Reports might be interesting to potential buyers. Click here to see the results of CR's tests, and let us know what you think using the poll below.
