This truck was originally a Georgia truck. I bought it off of Ebay about 5 years ago. It has been a great truck. That was up until last week when the transmission burnt while my wife was driving it. It will still go in 1st and 2nd but won't shift into 3rd. The fluid is brown so I know that is not good. At this same time it somehow developed a horrible intake gasket leak. But the engine does run. It has always ran well and hasn't used much oil. The 4x4 is the stick style and it works good.

Because of most of it's life in Georgia it wasn't exposed to salt like vehicles are during Indiana winters, the body is in rust free condition. The frame still had the factory black paint on it when it got here from Georgia and it is still in great condition. The clear coat is peeling along the bed rails, hood, and roof etc. The is a small ding in the drivers door but it barely noticeable. Tailgate is in good condition but the handle doesn't work well. To the best of my knowledge it has never been wrecked. The interior isn't great.

I was really torn about the decision to fix it or sell it. Obviously I decided to sell it. I have decided to downsize in trucks. Going to go with a smaller crew cab truck.

If the clear coat wasn't peeling I would almost say the body was in excellent condition and that is where I see the value in this truck. You just don't find a truck of this age this rust free in Indiana.

This is going to be a short auction because I have found the truck I want to purchase and need to sell it. I took the pictures when it was raining so that is why the pics look the way they do. I will take more pics tomorrow and add them (if ebay lets me?). I just wanted to get this auction started.

2020 Chevy and GMC HD truck spy shots reveal LED lighting

With Chevy and GMC's 1500 series pickups just starting to roll into dealerships, our attention naturally turns to the Heavy Duty 2500 and 3500 series trucks. We've seen these HD trucks testing already, but thes latest spy photos give us our first good glimpse of the two HD trucks' headlights through some translucent camouflage, and their designs appear very interesting and quite different from each other. The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD looks to be getting a striking set of LED lights that flank the grille. A previously released teaser image of the truck shows that the front lighting elements are split by a bulky wing that branches out from a big, upright chrome face, and both top and bottom units seem to incorporate LED slashes. If you look closely at the images, you can easily make out the Chevrolet script cut into the grille's top edge. Amidst a bevy of Chevy test trucks was one lone GMC model in a dually configuration, and the Sierra HD also appears to have some LED accent lighting up front. Unlike the boomerang-shaped Chevy LEDs, GMC's version sports a shoulder-like right angle of light bars. Assuming these are production-level lighting units, it seems the Sierra HD will stick pretty close to the face of GMC's latest light-duty pickup truck. We're still waiting for confirmation on what range of powertrains will be available in GM's next-gen HD trucks, but we're sure there will be both gasoline- and diesel-burning engines on the ordering sheet. We expect to hear official details on the trucks sometime soon. GMC Canyon's jump seats innovate to keep kids safe [w/video]

We dig simple solutions to problems. There's something highly gratifying about making a minute change to fix something, rather than tearing up the playbook. That's what GMC has done with the new Canyon midsize pickup.
When putting a car seat in, car seat manufacturers require that at least 80 percent of the seat's base fit on the bottom cushion. That's a big problem in extended-cab pickups like the Canyon, which feature jump seats with shorter bottom cushions, in place of the larger, more traditionally designed bench.
The Canyon gets around this with extendable jump seats - simply pop out the headrest and slot it into the bottom seat cushion, and the truck can now easily accommodate a child's seat.
