Looking for a pickup from your teen years in the original condition you remember it in? If so this is the truck for you! This truck was purchased in 1996 by the original owner in Denver Colorado and remained in Colorado until January 2013 when I purchased it and had it delivered inside a carrier to Southern California.

The original owner never drove it in the winter, stored it inside and took immaculate care of it! There is no rust, salt or mag-chloride exposure on the truck; everything is original on and in the truck with exception to the battery…. Yes even the tires are original and in good condition!!!

Truck was never abused, right after original purchase a Dura-liner was installed in the bed and tailgate. Top rails are covered in diamond plate. Factory hitch installed but never towed anything. Original exterior paint, no road rash, no stone chips, and no door dings. Original windshield with no big chips or major pitting. Chrome is perfect, underside is clean, dry and perfect – looks new! Oil was changed on a regular schedule which included new oil and filter along with the chassis lube.

Original strereo/CD, interior is immaculate, owner is a non-smoker and used towels on the seats - there are no spots or stains!! Original owner had several vehicles and kept this to become a collector, ran out of storage space and decided to let this one go. Original window sticker, owners books and maintenance receipts are included!

I purchased this truck to add to my collection, I intended to rip it apart, modify and turn into a show truck; after receiving the truck I decided it would be better suited for someone that will keep the original condition and appreciate it as it is. Trust me, when you see this truck you will be amazed at how well kept this vehicle is.

I am not interested in Kelly Blue values, I have priced this truck to get what I paid for it earlier this year. The truck is the best 1996 pickup you will find out there and with the lowest miles – where can you find a 1996 in such great condition with less than 23k original miles?!

2015 GMC Canyon gets the party started [w/video]

The 2014 Detroit Auto Show press days officially kick off tomorrow, but the night before all the madness commences, General Motors drove its new 2015 GMC Canyon pickup truck out for all to see. To refresh your memory, the Canyon is GMC's new midsize pickup - essentially a re-skinned version of the Chevrolet Colorado that debuted at the LA Auto Show in November.
Many of us at Autoblog prefer the look of the larger GMC Sierra to that of its Chevy Silverado kin, and we're having similar feelings about the new Canyon, especially after seeing it in person. It's sort of a pint-sized version of the Sierra, and it looks great. Clean lines are found throughout, and the Canyon's styling is decidedly premium.
At launch, the Canyon will be offered with the same engines as the Colorado - a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine with 193 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque on the base end, and a larger 3.6-liter V6 with 302 hp and 270 lb-ft as an option. The Colorado's 2.8-liter diesel inline four-cylinder will be available after launch. Both two- and four-wheel drive configurations will be available, depending on the model.

GM to offer 2 years free maintance on most 2014 models

A day after Ford announced it was scaling back the complimentary maintenance program for its Lincoln brand, General Motors has gone in the completely opposite direction, offering most of its 2014 lineup with free maintenance. Since 2011, Cadillac models have all come with a four-year/50,000-mile complimentary maintenance program, but Chevrolet, Buick and GMC vehicles will now come standard with free maintenance for two years or 24,000 miles for the 2014 model year.
The program will give vehicle owners and lessees free oil changes, tire rotations and 27-point inspections following the recommended maintenance schedule laid out in each vehicle's owner's manual. We contacted GM to see which vehicles were eligible for the program, and a spokesperson got back to us with the following comment:
"All 2014 models are eligible, it's just that the included services vary by model, e.g., Spark EV would not need oil changes, Corvettes don't recommend tire rotations."

Inevitable GMC Canyon Denali spotted testing

Practically every other model in the GMC lineup already offers a more luxurious Denali option, so why not extend that to the Canyon midsize pickup? It's hardly a surprise to see the brand doing just that, especially since the standard model seems to be proving quite a success. This Canyon was recently spied testing wearing camouflage over its front end. The truck still needs to breathe, though, and the opening in the obfuscation makes it quite easy to spot the Denali's chrome mesh grille, rather than the horizontal slats of the standard model. Also, just peeking out of the bottom part of the masking is the lower air intake, which appears to be completely lined in chrome now. At the sides and rear, the styling is identical to the current look of the pickup, at least for this prototype. While our spies didn't snap any shots of the interior, it seems safe to anticipate the usual Denali upgrades there, including better materials and additional tech features. Of course, expect a bump in price at the same time to pay for the improvements.
