THE GOOD: A RARE OPPORTUNITY FOR A RED ON RED SHORT BED FLEETSIDE 2 WHEEL DR PICKUP. ORIGINALLY PURCHASED FROM WINKLE PONTIAC/GMC IN RENO NEVADA. VEHICLE HISTORY SHOWS APPROX 3K MILES PER YEAR BETWEEN SMOG CHECKS. ORIGINAL FEDERAL EMISSION TRUCK. SO NO COMPUTER OR 02 SENSOR!!! VERY CLEAN CURRENT SMOG. FLOWMASTER EXHAUST. 2 OWNER RUST FREE TRUCK. PS, PB, PW, AC WITH 305 V8 AND TURBO 350 AUTO TRANS. HAS SLIDING REAR WINDOW AND BARDEN BUMPER THAT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE IT EVER HAD A BALL PUT ON IT. THE BAD: COMES WITH SALVAGE TITLE (IN MY NAME) DUE TO ELECTRICAL SHORT AT ALTERNATOR THAT MELTED THE INSULATION OFF SOME WIRES. ALL ITEMS WERE REPAIRED, NOTHING PAINTED OR COVERED UP TO PROVE IT WAS A MINOR INCIDENT. INSURANCE ALWAYS PAYS OFF FOR AN OLDER VEHICLE ISSUE LIKE THIS. THIS WAS TO NICE OF A TRUCK TO LET IT GET PARTED OUT SO I REVIVED IT AND NOW HAS BEEN MY DAILY DRIVER. IT IS OBVIOUSLY AN ADULT OWNED WELL MAINTAINED DRIVER. SHOWS 86,487 MILES ON ODOMETER. RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT. REAR SLIDER LATCHES MISSING.
THE UGLY: NOT MUCH UGLY ON THIS TRUCK OTHER THAN AS DESCRIBED. I GET COMPLIMENTS EVERYTIME I DRIVE THIS TRUCK.

New Chevrolet Silverado to be revealed on Facebook on Thursday
Tue, 11 Dec 2012There's not much to see here, but if you're one of those waiting for the reveal of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, above is the teaser image that Chevrolet posted on its Facebook page. We've seen the truck in form-fitting camo before, and even less can be made out here beyond those seriously punchy Silverado-esque fenders and the knowledge that the projector-beam headlamps teased previously do indeed work. We'll have to wait until Thursday for a full perusal of the "bold exterior design" and "careful attention given to every detail" we've been promised.
Gathering intel and rumors, magnesium and aluminum contribute to the Silverado's weight loss plan, the purported "High Country" top-tier trim will contribute to luxury pickup truck competition and profit margins and the next-generation small-block V8 will contribute to improved fuel economy. On the engine note, there have been rumors of available V6 engines, and when Facebook user John Jones asked "Where's your answer to that EcoBoost Chevy?", the Bowtie replied "stay tuned on the 13th. We think you'll be pleased...".
Along with the "Raise the Bar" tag, Chevrolet says of the Silverado, "You asked, we delivered." You can watch the reveal live on Chevrolet's Facebook page at 9:30 am EST, this Thursday, December 13. The GMC Sierra 1500 will also be there, and we'll see both in person at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
2022 GMC Hummer EV shows off accessories ahead of SEMA
Thu, Oct 28 2021As is the case with nearly every new off-roader on the market, the 2022 GMC Hummer EV will have a bunch of accessories available for personalizing the big electric pickup truck. In fact, GMC says that the total number of add-ons is close to 200. But for the SEMA show, it's sharing just a few of what it says are the more interesting accessories. Quite a few of these parts will take you a long way to turning the Hummer EV into an overlander. The most obvious is the roof-top tent that utilizes mounts on the roof and the bed. It looks quite large and roomy. Naturally, auxiliary lighting is available, too, including a 50-inch roof light bar and two smaller spot lights that mount ahead of the A pillars. For storage, there's a nifty swing-out toolbox, shown in the gallery as more of a tackle box, plus a battery-powered cooler and a bed-mount for a full-size spare tire. There's also a more traditional bed extender and simple bed rail-mounted rack. And just for fun, you can get a Kicker audio sound system built into the MultiPro tailgate to listen to your music. Not all the accessories are about utility, though. There are some visual enhancements such as the red decals shown in the gallery. They match other decals and badges available, and they're offered in bronze, too. There are some branded puddle lights on offer as well. These should be available around when the Hummer EV pickup goes on sale next year. Pricing for each part will surely vary, though exact numbers haven't been announced. 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 taillights revealed in teaser
Wed, Feb 28 2018With just one day before the GMC Sierra's reveal, GMC decided to show one last teaser of the full-size pickup truck. This time it shows the tail of the truck. And, by that we mean just the taillights and the badge, and playing with Photoshop revealed nothing else. The same goes for a profile-view teaser released slightly earlier than the rear-view image. Still, this is the clearest look we've had of the Sierra's rear lights, and they have a similar wrap-around element, possibly LED-lit, to that of the smaller GMC Canyon. It also looks like the lights will look wider from the rear than those on the Silverado, mainly because the GMC's lights don't have an indentation in the middle. GMC also released a teaser of the truck's profile. Both the head and taillights wrap farther around the sides than on the Silverado. The headlights are also less square than the outgoing Sierra, giving the truck a slightly sleeker look.
