I want to start by saying this is one of the nicest all original Truck your ever going to see period. It was
purchased new in 1984 and its been in a heated & Cooled garage its whole life! Here are the basic details of the
truck. 1984 GMC Sierra 1500 Standard Cab Stepside auto 305 V8 with factory A/C that blows ice cold. It has
factory cruise control, and manual windows and locks. THERE IS ZERO BODY DAMGE AND ZERO RUST (not even SURFACE
RUST ANYWHERE) ON THIS TRUCK. It was Ziebarted before the owner even took possession of the truck in 1984. Then
again it was re ziebarted EVERY YEAR AFTER. Picture will just not do it justice in regards to the under body/frame
of this truck. It looks as if it was purchased days ago and then ziebarted. The truck has BRAND NEW MICHELIN
TIRES, BRAND NEW INTERSTATE BATTERY, BRAND NEW FULL EXHAUST SYSTEM, and BRAND NEW POWER STEERING PUMP/RESERVOIR.
If you want to know what it was like to drive a new on of these trucks in 1984 then this is the truck for you. I
have owned several truck from this generation and several were show vehicles however none of them compared to this
one when it comes to how original it is. Several items were added by original owner as you can see from the
pictures. I have taken pictures with the add ons and pictures of the current state which is without most the
aftermarket add ons. The miles are all original and every GAUGE on the truck works FLAWLESSLY. Transmission and
engine operate like new! . Having said this the truck can drive ANYWHERE I.

GM phasing out light-duty 1500-series vans
Mon, 16 Jun 2014In the market for a fullsize van but don't need a heavy-duty model? You're in the minority, and you're also out of luck. That's because there are barely any more fullsize vans on the market with gross vehicle weight rating of less than 8,500 pounds, the threshold that separates light- and heavy-duty vans.
According to PickupTrucks.com, neither the Ford E-Series, Ram ProMaster, nor Mercedes-Benz Sprinter are available in light-duty versions. Few of the Ford Transit configurations are, either, and now General Motors is discontinuing production of the 1500-series Chevy Express and GMC Savana.
Apparently light-duty versions accounted for just 23 percent of Express sales and only 7 percent of Savanas. Add to that the fact that these 1500 versions were the only ones using the old generation of engines and suspension, and that the Wentzville plant near St. Louis, Missouri, is trying to make room for the next Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon pickups, and the fate of the light-duty GM van was sealed.

GMC's midsize pickup gets all of the usual Denali trimmings, including a new grille, chrome trim, 20-inch wheels, and the necessary badging. Inside, there's a unique instrument panel, Jet Black leather, heated and cooled seats, and again, Denali badges abound. GMC says the Canyon Denali will be offered exclusively in the crew cab body style, with either the 3.6-liter gasoline V6 or 2.8-liter diesel engine. GM to squeeze out more production capacity for midsize trucks
Tue, May 26 2015General Motors was predicting a strong showing for the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon before they debuted, and demand among dealers for the midsize trucks even exceeded company's expectations. The positive situation has left GM with a problem, though: finding ways to increase capacity for the pickups at the Wentzville Assembly plant in Missiouri. With a third shift already running, GM has continued to look for ways to build just a few more of the trucks at the plant. The company has plans to hire as many as 1,000 more workers for the Saturday and Sunday shifts to construct an additional 2,000 pickups a month, according to unnamed insiders at the factory speaking to Automotive News. The little adjustments even extend to getting rid of an unpaid break to add 18 minute of assembly time over the course of a day, which equals about 3,500 more vehicles a year. All of this effort comes because the trucks are in such high demand. According to GM's figures, the company has delivered a combined 35,720 units of the Colorado and Canyon from January through April 2015, and the Chevy was the fastest-selling truck in the US for the previous three months. In May, it spent an average of just 12 days in showrooms before being snapped up. And even better for the company, 43 percent of these buyers came from other brands. According to Automotive News, the most popular trade-ins have included the Ford F-150, Toyota Tacoma, and Dodge Dakota. Related Video:
