Plus more........
The truck came from Arizona aprox 6 months ago and is the cleanest truck i have ever owned , it has all its original panels except the hood , under the door edges are beautiful , bed runner perfect , frame perfect , body mounts perfect , fenders perfect , bed has some spray in liner but could be stripped out if you wanted to take it to the next level, little lacquer thinner and some elbow grease, I didn't mind because i don't want to see the bed get rusted at all.... It is as clean as they come, the under carriage is like factory new.Front bumper has lost some of its luster but is in great shape.....It gets tons of attention and looks great , it is Not a show truck , and i'm not asking show truck money but man it has some great bones..Hard to find rust free west coast trucks in the east, i looked for a long time before actually just going out west to find one..On that note ,You can take a magnifying glass to this truck and you wont find a spec of rust anywhere....

The paint is not too bad either , it was painted about 1yr ago , and it looks nice , it has a couple small scratches in the paint (shipper) but otherwise its solid, it's a great driver quality paint job...

Interior is nice but could use a black carpet to really set it off , it has a rubber mat now...Could use a couple of door seals they are pretty dry from the desert..It is custom interior that was just the way you see it when i got it, black vinyl with the red stripes..My intentions were to eventually replace the whole interior with a modern type interior with cloth seats or maybe tweed..It looks fine just personal preference....

The motor starts right up and sounds real good , No knocks or ticks ,No smoke, don't burn oil , Has great oil pressure, nothing funny with this motor...Don't get hot In traffic or any time , you could let this truck idle all day long and it wont get hot...Motor has plenty of power , not a race car but it will get you a ticket real easy.It does great just putting around too , wont load up on you, it runs strong.... I was told it was rebuilt not long ago, I don't have the receipts but by the way it runs i Believe it...

The truck runs and drives excellent , came from the factory with ac which needs the pump and some lines , dual gas tanks both work great , all lights work , brakes work great...Turn key cruiser for cruise night or what ever you want to do....It was made to drive and have fun...
Gets thumbs up and compliments all the time.......
Fun truck , runs good , looks good and sounds good too!!
Goes down the road really nice , not a rattle box , pretty tight......

With a little elbow grease this could easily be worth alot more...Or just drive it and have fun with the family, jump in turn the key and go....

Cool old truck!!

IMPORTANT....Please read the following completely so we don't have any mis-communication...I have been burned three times in a row now and its getting expensive, i did not know that there were so many scammers and frauds on here , i guess i did not know what i was getting into...

Sold AS IS ,No warranty expressed or implied , either verbal or written its a 1976 vehicle and is 37 years old so it will Not be perfect , inspections are welcome just call or text me to come check it out..I am being very straight forward with the condition but minor things might slip my mind but if they come up i will list them..Like any old vehicle they will need general upkeep and maintenance...By bidding you are agreeing that you are satisfied with the condition of the vehicle and will pay for and pick up within the specified time limit..Please Contact me within 24hrs of auctions end to let me know you are are not a scammer...Vehicle should be paid for within 7 days of auctions end , a $500 NON refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auctions end...U.s postal Money order or cash for deposit only....

Please bid only if you are serious and have the Funds available , There is no guarantee a bank will give you a loan on a classic vehicle so have all that stuff taken care of BEFORE bidding...
It's unfortunate That i have to imply all this but it's not cheap to list a vehicle and i just want serious bidders , I keep having winning bidders but then i never hear from them, its a shame because they usually beat out a serious buyer by pennies...
Please No out of country , No out of area bank checks , and No SHIPPING AGENTS!!!!  If you have a real shipping agent send him the check and have him pay me with Cash!

Call or text for quickest reply

Thanks ,have a great day...

On May-26-13 at 10:44:50 PDT, seller added the following information:

Ok i have been Getting alot of questions about the truck so i just want to clarify something.......

This is NOT a bad truck , I know it has been listed a couple times and that throws people off thinking something might be up with it......

First person won the truck and tried to negotiate with me about the truck after the auction was over without seeing it!!!I had to wait a week or so for ebay to resolve the situation , guy had no intents on buying the truck or just did not have the funds , not sure but it took up 2 weeks of my time and aprox $75 of my money that wont be refunded...

Second person Bought the truck (won the auction) and Never bothered to ever respond to my emails or contact me in any way shape or form...Again aprox 2 weeks of my time to go through the ebay non paying bidder ordeal and another $75 of my money i wont be getting back because ebay don't reimburse some of the fee's..Cant leave negative either how crazy is that?.....

So there is the reason that some of you have seen the truck multiple times , its not a piece of crap and i have personally more into the truck then i am listing it for..I restore classic cars for a living and own the shop , i bought this truck for myself because of the body..You can look hi & low , under rocks , in barns anywhere you want , there are not many trucks this rust free in the northeast even if they were garaged....Yes it needs a little cosmetic work on the interior and some personal touch's but this truck is solid as a rock and has a nice running big block in it...Its a really great starting point to build something awesome , sorry its not a $20k truck for half price but it is not over priced either , at the reserve i stand  to lose aprox $2k ......

I just had to put that out there , the scammers waste everyone's time and money, plus they give the truck a bad rap because it has been relisted a couple times....
It is for sale locally for $8900 so someone will be getting a good deal on here....

Thanks guys

NHTSA, IIHS, and 20 automakers to make auto braking standard by 2022

Thu, Mar 17 2016

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and virtually every automaker in the US domestic market have announced a pact to make automatic emergency braking standard by 2022. Here's the full rundown of companies involved: BMW, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo (not to mention the brands that fall under each automaker's respective umbrella). Like we reported yesterday, AEB will be as ubiquitous in the future as traction and stability control are today. But the thing to note here is that this is not a governmental mandate. It's truly an agreement between automakers and the government, a fact that NHTSA claims will lead to widespread adoption three years sooner than a formal rule. That fact in itself should prevent up to 28,000 crashes and 12,000 injuries. The agreement will come into effect in two waves. For the majority of vehicles on the road – those with gross vehicle weights below 8,500 pounds – AEB will need to be standard equipment by September 1, 2022. Vehicles between 8,501 and 10,000 pounds will have an extra three years to offer AEB. "It's an exciting time for vehicle safety. By proactively making emergency braking systems standard equipment on their vehicles, these 20 automakers will help prevent thousands of crashes and save lives," said Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx said in an official statement. "It's a win for safety and a win for consumers." Read on for the official press release from NHTSA. Automakers making the commitment are Audi, BMW, FCA US LLC, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Maserati, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Porsche, Subaru, Tesla Motors Inc., Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo Car USA.

Average transaction prices climb to a record $36,270 in January

Sat, Feb 3 2018

The automotive sector made a hash of the numbers last month, a mess of pluses and minuses clogging the transaction-price charts according to Kelley Blue Book. The overall industry rose one percent, even though buyers bought fewer cars and light vehicles in January 2018 vs 2017 using the selling-day adjusted rate. Due to January transaction prices rising to $36,270, a record for January, the value of new vehicles sold climbed more than $1 billion compared to January 2017. KBB's transaction prices don't include customer incentives, which changes the complexion slightly; average incentive spending rose to just over ten percent. The average transaction price in December 2017 was $36,756, so January dropped a bit - nothing unexpected, with the month annually blamed for "January doldrums." More revealing is the fact that the average transaction price in January 2017 was $34,910. This year's plumped-up figure came courtesy of the continued shift to crossovers, SUVs, and light trucks, which shouldn't surprise anyone who's read an automotive blog in the past 20 years. That category comprised nearly 70 percent of new vehicle sales for the month. Some manufacturers profited more than others, though. Fiat Chrysler managed 12.8 percent fewer sales in January compared year-on-year, but the company's vehicles sold for $1,300 more. The Ford brand suffered a 6.3-percent dip in sales, but brand transaction prices increased $2,000, while a Lincoln sold for $8,700 more on average. General Motors sold more cars and sold them for more money; overall GM transaction prices rose four percent, or $1,270, while a GMC traded hands for seven-percent more than in January 2017 and a Cadillac got $2,300 more on average. Of KBB's listed automakers, the Volkswagen Group got the most of out its customers, transaction prices rising at the German automaker by 5.6 percent to $42,243 in January 2018 compared to a year earlier. American Honda followed with a 4.3-percent increase to $28,991, GM in third at 4.1 percent to $40,313. Find your next car at Autoblog using our new and used car listings or the Car Finder tool. Broken out by segment, minivans rocked the table, transaction prices leaping by 7.9 percent to $35,380 compared to January a year earlier. Luxury cars boasted the next-highest rise, at 3.6 percent to $58,533.

Huge, pricey trucks haul jobs and profits for the Detroit Three

Tue, Feb 5 2019

DECATUR, Texas — Mickey McMaster is on his 12th pickup truck. The 61-year old farm equipment dealer in Decatur, Texas, two weeks ago treated himself to a 2019 GMC Denali for around $69,000 — a reward for long hours at work. "For me this is the Cadillac of trucks, it's a real luxury vehicle," McMaster said. "I've worked my way up to afford a truck like this and it shows that I've earned it." McMaster is the kind of customer General Motors Co is banking on as it plans to add 1,000 jobs at a plant in Flint, Michigan that will build a new generation of its largest pickups. Demand from Texas and other heartland states for big pick-ups is providing a lifeline to many workers the No. 1 U.S. automaker is laying off at plants elsewhere. The Detroit Three automakers and thousands of their U.S. workers are counting on customers like McMaster to keep buying bigger and more luxurious pickup trucks even if overall U.S. vehicle demand weakens this year, as most analysts predict. At Flint, GM will build a new generation of its heavy-duty Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierras, including luxury models that are some of the most profitable vehicles on the planet. GM, Ford Motor Co and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV's Ram division own the segment and are each doubling down with new or redesigned models launching this year. Sales of heavy-duty pickups in the United States have grown to more than 600,000 vehicles a year, up more than 20 percent since 2013, according to industry data. Prices for luxury models can easily top $70,000. GM on Tuesday celebrated the launch of a new generation of heavy-duty GMC and Chevrolet pickups at the assembly plant in Flint, Michigan, that is now building all such trucks for the company. At the same time that GM is laying off thousands of U.S. workers and planning to shutter five North American factories, Flint is hiring. The plant runs on three daily shifts, six days a week. As the new model's assembly system ramps up, the plant's capacity will increase by more than 25 percent, plant manager Mike Perez told Reuters. The Flint plant plans to add 1,000 workers, more than half of the 1,500 factory workers who have asked to transfer from plants GM has targeted for shutdown as part of CEO Mary Barra's restructuring plan. "We're bringing in 50 to 100 people every week," said Perez. Workers last week were still finishing the job of retooling the Flint factory to build the new heavy-duty trucks as part of a $1.5 billion investment project.
