Modifications:

The interior ceiling and walls were removed, reflectix installed, additional insulation installed, then ceiling and walls put back. The same items were used to make the removable window insulation (pictured), so you can see what was used.
The boxes over the wheels are made of PureBond-
  • A product that’s environmentally friendly and promotes healthy indoor air quality due to its proprietary, non-toxic technology – a soy-based adhesive – instead of potentially hazardous urea formaldehyde.
  • Made right here in the US and Canada.
The Mattress has a frame inside the material so no middle support is needed.
The cabinet has a lift top.
Blackout curtains run across the back window and behind the front seats.
The TV and VCR were removed. It is now a super convenient storage area, covered in reflectix. (Did you really want a VCR?)
There is a marine solar vent installed. It also charges an internal battery, can take air in or out, and has a blue LED light for a gentle nighttime light.
The camping gear included:
Bucket toilet - Brand New.
Mr. Heater Portable Propane Buddy Heater MH 9BX - 9000 BTU - Used 3 times and works great.
Coleman® PerfectFlow™ 1-burner propane stove - Brand New
CO2 Detector - New
Spare Serpentine Belt
Several Bottles of Propane
Portable Manual Sink. The sink is foot activated by a one-way pump. It was built & tested but never mounted in the van. Not just for in the van, use it anywhere. Big Campsite? Backyard party?

The original ceiling lights in the back are no longer installed. All of the wiring for the lights is tucked into the shelf over the driver's seat. An adjustable, mounted LED light (battery) is installed.
Little dings and scratches that are normal for the vehicle. The carpet has a spilled coffee spot. The heat no longer blows strong or very hot. Temp has always been fine, had the thermostat replaced, no change. Might be the venting disconnected somewhere?
No original rear seats
I am selling because I moved up to a bigger full-factory camper van.

GM will no longer remove parts from trucks to calculate curb weights

Fri, 08 Aug 2014

Following last week's mild uproar after it was discovered that Ford and General Motors were removing some optional parts from their pickups to lower the curb weight and consequently increase the maximum payload, GM has come out and committed to a base curb weight for its upcoming Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon compact trucks (although it has yet to publish them) and its current Silverado and Sierra. The company will do the same for its heavy duty offerings, although those numbers have not been finalized yet.
"This will make our curb weight and payload specs more consistent with those of most other truck makers, making it easier for customers to compare vehicles," GM spokesman Tom Wilkinson told Autoblog in an emailed statement.
As GM notes - and as every manufacturer has noted since this story broke - customers still shouldn't take max payload ratings as gospel. Instead, they should refer to their truck's Tire and Load Label, like the one shown at the inset, which will offer detailed information on max payload, specific to their truck.

Detroit 3 to implement delayed unified towing standards for 2015

Tue, Feb 11 2014

Car buyers have a responsibility to be well-informed consumers. That's not always a very simple task, but some guidelines are self-evident. If you live in a very snowy climate, you generally know a Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro might not be as viable a vehicle choice as an all-wheel drive Explorer or Traverse, for example. If you want a fuel-efficient car, it's generally a good idea to know the difference between a diesel and a hybrid. But what if it's kind of tough to be an informed consumer? What if the information you need is more difficult to come by, or worse, based on different standards for each vehicle? Well, in that case, you might be a truck shopper. For years, customers of light-duty pickups have had to suffer through different ratings of towing capacities for each brand. For 2015 model year trucks, though, that will no longer be a problem. According to Automotive News, General Motors, Ford and Chrysler Group have announced that starting with next year's models, a common standard will be used to measure towing capacity. The Detroit Three will join Toyota, which adopted the Society of Automotive Engineers' so-called SAE J2807 standards way back in 2011. The standard was originally supposed to be in place for MY2013, but concerns that it would lower the overall stated capacity for trucks led Detroit automakers to pass. Ford originally passed, claiming it'd wait until its new F-150 was launched to adopt the new standards, leading GM and Ram to follow suit. Nissan, meanwhile, has said it will adopt the new standards as its vehicles are updated, meaning the company's next-generation Titan should adhere to the same tow ratings as its competitors. While the adoption of SAE J2807 will be helpful for light-duty customers, those interested in bigger trucks will still be left with differing standards. There is no sign of the new tow standards being adopted for the heavy-duty market.
