Ford F-250 Xlt Crew Cab Pickup 4-door on 2040-cars
Dalton, Wisconsin, United States
2001 F-250 XLT Crew Cab with the 7.3L Powerstroke. This truck was purchased from Texas in 2010 and was only driven in the summer. We always park the truck inside in a heated shop over the winters. This truck is 100% rust free. It has a lift kit with 33 Nitto Terra Grapplers mounted on 18" XD Series Monsters. Also has a chip with Tony Wildman tunes and a Pioneer stereo that was just installed by Best Buy last summer. There is a sub behind the back seat that was in there when we bought it. I don't really get into that stuff but it is in there, it is a Kicker. It has the tan interior, cloth seats but I have seat covers on the front two. Power drivers seat. Air, cruise, tilt, heat all work as they should. Brand new transmission installed at local dealer roughly 15,000 miles ago. I also had the front clip updated to the 2006 style. I just think they look a little better.

Ford faces class-action lawsuit for selling vehicles without brake override systems
Fri, 29 Mar 2013A total of 20 Ford customers are suing the automaker in a class-action lawsuit for selling vehicles "vulnerable to unintended acceleration." According to Reuters, the suit names 30 models built between 2002 and 2010 with electronic throttle control systems but without a brake override system. Those include the 2004-2012 F-Series pickups and the 2005-2009 Lincoln Town Car. Adam Levitt, a partner with the law firm of Grant & Eisenhofer says the plaintiffs in the case want "to be compensated for their economic losses by having overpaid for cars that contained defects." Levitt contends that the plaintiffs would not have bought their vehicles or paid less for them had they known there was no brake override system in place.
Ford began installing brake override systems in its vehicles beginning in 2010. In response to the lawsuit, Ford has pointed to research by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that indicated that unintended acceleration is mostly caused by driver error, saying in a statement that, "NHTSA's work is far more scientific and trustworthy than work done by personal injury lawyers and their paid experts."
Belville et al v. Ford Motor Co. will be heard in US District Court in the Southern District of West Virginia.
Ford gets its Movement on, releases 'Sounds of Focus' tracks
Sun, 25 May 2014Ford has, for at least the second year in a row, teamed up with techno promoter Paxahau and a couple of artists to make music in recognition of the Detroit Movement music festival. This time, Movement performers Ataxia and Secrets were selected by Ford, and were invited to spend some time at the automaker's Michigan Assembly Plant, which gives birth to the Ford Focus and Focus Electric models.
Now that we know the what, how about the why? According to Ford, "Detroit is uniquely tied to the origins of the electronic music scene. In the 1980's variations of electronic music stemmed from inspirations of industry, including the automotive sector." So, there you go. If you're interest is piqued, feel free to read the press release, watch the video and listen to the tracks below.
