![1974 - Ford Torino, US $2,000.00, image 1](/back/370x277-back.png)
1974 Gran Torino wagon, runs and drives good. Has new brakes, shocks, driveshaft and u-joints. Interior is all original except the steering wheel( I have the original) and the carpet. The headliner needs to be replaced, the thread holding it together has dry-rotted. Seats are in good shape except for one tear in the drivers seat. Dashboard has the usual cracks from age. The paint is original, car has a few dents and dings, but no bad rust. The floor pan is solid and rust free except at the bottom of the rear storage compartment as seen in the photos. All the rubber gaskets around the windows and doors is old and needs to be replaced. All the glass is good, there is one crack at the top of the windshield, not in field of vision. The engine is a 351 Cleveland with a 2bbl carburetor, runs good, has no knocks. Head cover gaskets are leaking slightly causing a little smoke from the exhaust manifold as the engine warms up.

Ford to build Explorer in Russia to meet demand [w/video]
Fri, 12 Apr 2013The current Ford Explorer is sold in more than 64 countries, and this three-row vehicle continues to grow in popularity worldwide. To keep up with demand, Ford began producing the Explorer at Ford Sollers Elabuga Assembly Plant in Tatarstan, Russia, a joint venture facility. This partnership will build Russian-market Explorers only, and production of export vehicles not destined for Russian buyers will continue to be built at Ford's assembly plant in Chicago.
Before this plant went online, Ford would ship Explorers to Russia (and other regions around the world) as partially assembled knock-down units where final assembly would eventually take place. While there is no indication as to how many Explorers Ford Sollers will build for Russia, Ford did add that exports of the SUV were up 65 percent last year (from 2011) accounting for more than 24,000 units.
Scroll down for a press release about the Russian Explorer as well as a video (bad music and all) showing the SUV being produced in Tatarstan.
Evo grabs Ford's Fiesta R5 rally car by the scruff
Wed, 04 Sep 2013Evo and host Henry Catchpole were thinking of excuses reasons to borrow the bonkers Ford Fiesta R5 rally car for a day or two, when it struck them: the car is street legal. With access to the R5, some of the world's most beautiful driving roads in the English Lake Country nearby, and a handy video crewing hanging around, the plan seemed to write itself.
Based on the resulting video, it was a good plan. Without spoiling the video for you - something we can't really do in text as the best part is listening to the rally car run - Catchpole finds the Fiesta to be sublimely quick and massively satisfying. Even taking the car for a spin on a pseudo rally stage, after leaving the English countryside, does nothing but add to his assessment of the beastly little Ford. Scroll on below to see for yourself, and enjoy the ride.
