THIS CAR IS A REMARLABLE EXAMPLE OF A TRUE SURVIVOR WITH IT'S ORIGINAL ENGINE, TRANS, REAREND, INTERIOR AND TOP. ONLY 87,000 ACTUAL MILES!

THE ENGINE RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT, POWER DISC BRAKES WORK GOOD, POWER STEERING WORKS GREAT. PS HAS A SMALL LEAK IN THE SYSTEM (A FEW DROPS ON THE GROUND NOW AND THEN). A/C WORKS GOOD! 

INTERIOR IS IN REMARKABLE SHAPE AS WELL AS THE TOP! JUST A FEW BLEMS HERE AND THERE (CRACK ON DASH,SCUFF ON THE TOP WITH SMALL BUBBLING UNDER TOP BY THE WINDOW (VERY SMALL), SMALL WEAR AND SMALL TEAR ON THE FRONT SEAT AND REAR WINDOW CRANK KNOBS MISSING. CARPET HAS SOME WEAR AND COULD BE REPLACED TO LOOK PERFECT.

THE BODY IS ALMOST TOTALLY RUST FREE WITH SOME BUBBLES UNDER REAR OF TOP,AND LOWER RIGHT QUARTER PANEL (LOOK CLOSE AT PICTURE, SOME SMALL PIN HOLES). A RIGHT SIDE FLOOR BRACE IS DAMAGED ( MAYBE FROM A ROAD HAZARD). THE CAR HAS NEVER BEEN WRECKED AND HAS HAD A REPAINT NOT LONG AGO BECAUSE IT WAS FADED. THE CAR LOOKS GREAT!!!

Ford pits Cobra Jet versus GRC Fiesta ST, worlds collide

Racing takes on many forms in the automotive world. There are sanctioned events that are as varied and diverse as NASCAR, Formula One, Global Rallycross and drag racing, and to be good enough to win competitively in one discipline, you need to have a specialized vehicle. Or do you?
Ford decided to find out what would happen when its Global Rallycross Fiesta ST, driven by Tanner Foust, lined up against its Mustang Cobra Jet drag racer, driven by Roy Hill. In one lane, Tanner has just 2.0 liters of displacement to work with, while Roy has more than double that, at 5.0 liters. Evening the playing field a bit, Tanner has a massive turbocharger and all-wheel drive; Roy has to filter all his supercharged power through the rear wheels only.
So, who wins? We suggest you see for yourself in the press release and video below. And we're holding out hope that Tanner's challenge at the end results in another video from Ford Racing...

1969 Ford GT40 Mk III found roaming the halls in Geneva

The halls of the 2015 Geneva Motor Show are filled with all manner of exotic racing machinery, from the likes Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus to McLaren. But there's one peculiar bit of history tucked away that we thought you'd be equally interested to see: a 1969 Ford GT40 Mk III. One of only seven known to be built, this Mk III coupe was intended as a road-going alternative to earlier racing-bred GT40 models, like the original Mk I and 427-cubic-inch, Le Mans-dominating Mk II. Due to its street-legal intentions, the Ford GT40 Mk III boasted revised bodywork that allowed for some luggage and new headlights, along with a redesigned interior with left-hand-drive and a shifter in the normal, center position. The Mk III wasn't very popular when it was new in the 1960s, in part because it looked different from other GT40 models and because it was pretty expensive, but that just means it's an awfully rare gem today. Ford, Samsung shack up to bring regen braking to non-hybrid models [w/video]

Ford must be desperate to get itself ready for the beach this summer because it is really trying to get into shape. Shortly after unveiling the Lightweight Concept that cut the weight of a Fusion down to that of a Fiesta, it's now the rest of the line's turn for improvement. The company is wrapping up a 10-year research project aimed at developing next-gen automotive batteries to improve efficiency.
Ford claims that 70 percent of its lineup will have stop/start tech by 2017. The key to this massive proliferation is its new dual-battery system that combines a lithium-ion battery with a lead-acid one and regenerative braking. The setup works by harvesting braking energy and converting it to electricity. When the vehicle stops, the engine shuts off, but the Li-ion battery has enough juice to keep the accessories running. The engine starts up again as drivers take their foot off the brake. The layout would mean less wasted gas while idling. It's already available on Ford hybrids and is somewhat similar to the i-Eloop capacitor-based system from Mazda.
The bigger challenge is tuning the regenerative braking right. While hybrid drivers may be a little more adventurous, when it comes to getting a hang of regen braking, conventional buyers might not be so open-minded. The systems have a tendency to be a little grabby at first and then taper off at very low speeds. Ford needs to make sure it's just right to avoid turning off buyers.
