1971 Ford Torino 500 5.0l on 2040-cars
Laguna Hills, California, United States
This is a beautiful 1971 Ford Torino 500 that has a hurst ratchet shifter. Also installed is a Eddlbrock carburetor and manifold. The interior is very nicely done and the grant steering wheel adds a very nice appearance as well. I have a remote lock system set up as well. This car is very unique and won't last on Ebay for long. This is a nice running and driving classic muscle car. However it is 43 years old. The odometer reads 86,589 miles but we cannot verify the accuracy. We have tried to describe the vehicle as best and accurate as we can and list the things that need attention. However we could have missed some things and it is possible what is working today may stop working tomorrow. This is the reason this vehicle is sold As-Is and may have signs of wear, tear, fade, rust, age, weathering and may require repair, service, replacement, and maintenance of any and all components. Shifter is sticky, gas pump leaks a tiny bit, but most of the car is in fully functional condition. I drive it to work every saturday.

New UAW boss Williams talks tough, vows 'no more concessions'
Sun, 08 Jun 2014Dennis Williams, the newly elected president of the UAW, had some tough words for American automakers in his inauguration speech at the 2014 UAW Convention, striking down the possibility of any additional concessions from the 400,000-strong union.
"No more concessions. We are tired of it. Enough is enough," Williams said during his speech. UAW employees have not received a raise in nearly 10 years, according to Reuters.
Considering the recent strong results for Ford, Chrysler and General Motors, the union's demands are likely to carry a bit more weight in next year's negotiations. And considering Williams' tough stance, we could be in for some fireworks once negotiations commence.
