1970 Torino GT factory 429-C-6 automatic. Car has been in family since new. I have original bill of sale from Long Lewis Ford on October 23rd 1969. My dad gave me the car in 1986 when I turned 16. Car has been garage kept since 1982. This is factory 429 C6 car. Still have Factory wheels, exhaust manifolds, intake manifold and etc. The engine was built by Competition Engines. Crower rods, Venolia dome top pistons, custom grind Competition Cams hydraulic roller cam and lifters, Comp Cams roller rocker arms with screw in studs and girdle, 9 quart Milodon oil pan, aluminum single plane intake with Holley 950 HP race carb, BHJ steel balancer, SFI certified flexplate, Hooker 6115 HPC coated headers with full 3" exhaust, ARP head and main studs, Built C-6 transmission with 3,500 stall. The engine is 15 to 1 compression ratio, so you must run racing fuel or mix racing fuel and premium. Engine, trans, tires and rear differential have less than 1,000 miles, the car has less than 82,000 original miles. Car is in excellent condition and is a blast to drive. The only reason I am selling the car is due to my health, this has been my baby for a long time.

Ford vandalizes the SEMA Show floor with 2014 Transit Connect
Tue, 05 Nov 2013The Ford booth here at SEMA is practically a 1970s throwback with all these customized vans sitting front and center. And we're completely fine with that. Take the black and yellow (black and yellow, black and yellow) 2014 Transit Connect from Mobsteel above. It's got a great stance, sits on steel wheels and has a pretty cool paint job and graphics package to boot.
Of course, that's not the only van you can see at the Ford booth. In fact, there are 10 Transit Connect vans on display from Ford here at SEMA, and you can see them all in our live gallery of high-res images above. Then, if you want to know more about each specific model, feel free to scroll down to read all about these vans in the official press release from Ford.
How Ford plans to handle insurance and repair questions surrounding new aluminum-bodied F-150
Tue, 21 Jan 2014Building a car out of aluminum has a number of benefits - the lighter weight allows the vehicle to be more agile, more fuel efficient, make better use of its power and be more resistant to dings and dents. The downside to the advanced construction, though, is that repairs are both challenging and expensive. That's troubling for the new, aluminum-bodied Ford F-150, because it's kind of made a name for itself as a rugged, durable work vehicle.
How will the legions of Ford buyers cope when it comes time to insure and repair their new trucks? Well, according to Ford, it's expecting a ten-percent jump in insurance costs for the aluminum-bodied F-150, although Ford's truck marketing manager, Doug Scott, was quick to point out that the F-150 is generally cheaper to insure than its competition from Ram and General Motors. "At the end of the day, that's sort of a wash," Scott told Automotive News at last week's Detroit Auto Show. "We've spent a lot of time and feel very comfortable that that's not going to be an inhibitor."
The other issue facing Ford is the distinct lack of body shops that have the training or equipment to repair aluminum-bodied vehicles. AN cites an estimate from the Automotive Service Association claiming that of the 30,000 independent body shops in the US, less than 10 percent are able to work on aluminum.
