This is a 1969 428 super cobra jet Torino fastback . The car is correct and complete . The 428 scj , 4 speed close ratio and 3.91 traction lock rear end all work together for a fast ride . Now with that said I only drive the car a couple of miles up the road a couple times a year . The car needs a brake job and tires to go on long trips . I bought the car a few years ago to restore and now I'm selling lost interest . As far as the body goes its solid with the exception of both lower rear quarters ( outer only ) , the tail light panel has a puncture beside the right rear tail light and the left side floor brace needs replaced . The pics should show these areas all are minor . The trim is good with the exception of the two rear wheel moldings . The interior is excellent only needing carpet and the drivers seat seams need repair the rest is great . This is a rare , fast muscle car in need of minor restoration . This is also a good and easy to fix car . The only thing I can find missing is the snorkel for the ram air breather . The Marti report says it all . 2014 Roush Stage 3 Mustang
Fri, 26 Jul 2013Up until now, it's been some years since I managed to get behind the wheel of the hot Mustangs tuned by the folks at Roush Performance. My memories of those vehicles are fond, as the Roush up-fits usually make for better-driving examples of the iconic Ford pony, with better-tuned suspensions, excellent short-shift kits and, of course, huge additions of power. The wake-your-neighbors aural characteristics of these cars have been nothing short of outstanding, too.
But in the years since my last experience with the Roush formula, Ford's own development team has churned out some pretty potent 'Stangs. We currently live in a world where the Blue Oval will sell you a Mustang with 662 horsepower from the factory, and the recently departed Boss 302 remains one of the best Mustangs - and best sports coupes - the Autoblog crew has ever driven.
So with great-driving and hugely powerful Mustangs coming straight off the line at Ford's Flat Rock Assembly Plant, does the Roush package still offer that extra special something to make it stand out? I spent a week with a Stage 3 coupe to find out.

Fri, 03 May 2013The Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance has more clout every year and is getting a reputation as Pebble Beach minus the madness. Held in March this year, it celebrated Ducati and the 50-year anniversaries of Lamborghini, the Corvette Sting Ray, Porsche 911 and the Ford GT40.
Justin Lapriore was there, and seemingly everywhere, getting footage of the various wares on display on the lawns and the sand and the runway. The resulting video, Born of a Blue Sky, is a 16-minute survey of some of the finer sights and plenty of engine sounds. Check it out below.

Sun, 30 Mar 2014Bloomberg TV reporter Matt Miller is the proud new owner of a pretty killer truck. How do we know? The reporter headed to Dearborn, MI to Ford's assembly plant, with a film crew in tow, to see exactly how his new F-150 SVT Raptor and its mother-loving 6.2-liter V8 engine, was screwed together.
The resulting video does an excellent job of summing up how an assemblage of parts and pieces is turned into a triple-black Raptor, thanks to the work of some 1,000 employees and about 20 hours of real time.
