Up for auction is a 1968 Ford Fairlane 500 Fastback. This car was a project last winter. New paint motor was rebuilt new frontend parts ball joints tie rod ends. Interior is all original with the exception of the package tray was replaced. Body was sanded down dents were repaired and a new coat of paint was applied with two coats of clear. Paint is flawless. Motor was rebuilt with the installation of 351W heads gear drive edelbrock 4 Barrel intake and carb. Cobra valve covers and new 2" dual exhaust were also installed. I drove this car this summer with no problems except it developed a power steering leak in the hose will need replaced. I put about 3500 miles on the car this summer. It was fast and fun to drive with all the attention you would expect from a gorgeous car. IT also has a kenwood am fm cd player with remote. Another fun option is the dixey horn. Car is in excellent condition you wont regret buying this piece of history. Any questions call Dave 509-999-4952 Thankyou and happy bidding.

Ford celebrates 1 millionth Mustang built at Flat Rock
Thu, 18 Apr 2013Yesterday, the Ford Mustang turned 49 years old, and Ford didn't miss the opportunity to celebrate the one millionth version of the Mustang rolling off the assembly line at the Flat Rock Assembly plant. Production of the Mustang at Flat Rock coincided with the fifth-generation design launching in 2004, and the one millionth car was the car shown above, a 2014 GT convertible painted in Ruby Red.
In total, Ford has sold more than 8.5 million Mustangs since the original car went on sale, but some of the key milestones over the car's nine years at Flat Rock include the Shelby GT-H, Bullitt, Boss 302 and, of course, the 662-horsepower Shelby GT500. Scroll down for a press release celebrating Flat Rock's milestone Mustang.

Ford's Mulally makes shortlist for Microsoft CEO
Fri, 08 Nov 2013Ford CEO Alan Mulally has made the short list to take over tech giant Microsoft, lending further credence to rumors that the 68-year-old former Boeing exec would ditch Dearborn and move to Redmond.
The report comes from Reuters, which claims that alongside Mulally, former Nokia CEO Stephen Elop and three candidates from within Microsoft are on the short list to succeed Steve Ballmer at the company's helm, although previous reports claim the Ford exec is the number one candidate. Mulally is currently working without a contract, although Bill Ford seems to believe that he isn't likely to depart. Despite this belief, Ford was quoted just last month talking about the depth of talent on the Blue Oval's executive team.
"There is no change from what we announced last November. Alan remains fully focused on continuing to make progress on our One Ford plan. We do not engage in speculation," said Ford spokesman Jay Cooney.
