Being offered up for your consideration is a 1968 Ford Torino GT, 2dr Formal Hardtop.   According to the original door tag, this car came with the rare 390ci 2v, C6 automatic transmission, was medium aqua metallic, light aqua vinyl interior, built May 28th in Atlanta, GA, has 2:75 tail gears and was sent to Los Angles.  The third and forth numbers in the vin, 44, stand for 2dr formal hardtop with bucket seats.  As you can see in my pictures it has a bench seat.  Unknown what happened with the bucket seats.   The fifth letter, Y, is the code for the 390ci V8 with a 2v carburetor.  The title does match the door tag making this a very rare 68 Torino.  This Torino also came equipped with power brakes and rare factory AC.

This car is an unfinished project that needs to be completed.  A lot of time and dollars have already been put into this car.  The 390 was missing so it was replaced with a very strong rebuilt 351C and  C6 automatic trans.  The Torino does run and drive but should be trailered to its new home.  All 4 tires are new. The seats, carpet and headliner are new along with a set of uninstalled door panels.  The paint is really nice but not perfect.  It will need some touch up after the car has been completed.  This is a solid southern California / Arizona car and I wish I could tell you that all the parts needed to finish this car come with it, they don't.  It is missing several trim items that you will need to find.  I tried to picture most of them.  One GT center cap also is dented.

This car is being sold "AS IS" with no warrantee expressed or implied

Call to set up an appointment.

Winning bidder must make contact with in 3 days of auction ending and give a non-refundable deposit of $1000, no exceptions.   Unless other arrangement are made, the balance due must be paid within 7 days of the auction ending.   Full payment must have been received, and bank cleared, before the vehicle can be picked up or released to a shipper. A clear Arizona title will be given to the new owner after full payment has been received and bank cleared.

Ford F-Series Super Duty earns Truck of Texas award

Wed, Oct 12 2016

Texans love their pickup trucks, which you already knew. That means the Texas Auto Writers Association and its "Truck of Texas" award is a big deal. And the latest trophy goes to the 2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty. The pickup truck managed to snag TAWA's award at the 2016 Texas Truck Rodeo. The award marks the 13th time Ford's F-Series has been named the pickup king of the Lone Star State. Roughly 70 journalists converged outside at the Longhorn River Ranch, just outside of Austin, TX, for the 23rd annual Texas Truck Rodeo where a host of Ford's vehicles won awards. In addition to the F-Series Super Duty being named the "Truck of Texas," the 2017 Ford Super Duty won the Heavy Duty Pickup Truck award, while the 2017 Ford F-150 with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine won the Best Powertrain award. The journalists also awarded Ford for having the "Truck Line of Texas." Ford wasn't the only winner at the Texas Truck Rodeo, as Nissan brought home five awards, including one for the 2017 Titan in the fullsize pickup category and one for the Armada in the SUV segment. Ram also won a few accolades with its trucks. The 2017 Ram 1500 won for being the most luxurious pickup truck, while the 2017 Ram 2500 Power Wagon won the off-road pickup truck award. Last year, TAWA named the 2016 Nissan Titan XD the Truck of Texas, but Ford's all-new F-Series Super Duty managed to keep the Japanese automaker's full-size offering at bay. For the 2017 model, Ford placed aluminum body panels into the F-Series Super Duty's body, which not only shed weight, but also make the truck stronger. Scroll down to see the entire list of TAWA's winners from the 2016 Texas Truck Rodeo. Top Gear season 25 opens with a V8 roadtrip through America

Mon, Feb 26 2018

Great news for fans of BBC Top Gear: the first episode of season 25 is here. Viewers of BBC America will catch the season opener on March 3, and for the American audience this episode is definitely suitable watching. The episode has been dedicated to V8 sportscars almost in its entirety, as it's been wrapped around a Western roadtrip with a motorsport bias. The three hosts get to choose three V8 sports cars, with the basic idea of finding the best all-rounder. Matt LeBlanc goes for a Hennessey-tuned GT350R, Rory Reid chooses a Jaguar F-Type SVR, and Chris Harris shakes up the pack by selecting a McLaren 570GT. It's a nicely varied trio, with V8 power still showing what it's good for. There are various challenges along the way, just like there should be on a Top Gear roadtrip episode – even if the road surface itself isn't always ideal. But things smoothen out, all the way to a NASCAR oval and an airport runway; the flooded Bonneville salt flats aren't suitable for shenanigans, so substitutes have to be found. The trio also hit dirt roads, and have to evade a buggy-driving Ken Block during a "moonshine run to the border." Fans of Sabine Schmitz will be pleased to find her piloting a chain car racer, which consists of two American junk cars with a Honda CRX chained in the middle. It must make sense to someone. The Star In A Reasonably Priced Car segment has been retained for this season. This time it's the British actor Rob Brydon driving the Toyota GT86, on a very wet lap around the show's Dunsfold Aerodrome track that must be a cult classic by now. All in all, the season 25 opener is exactly what it says on the tin. There's nothing out of the ordinary, but it still has excellent cinematography, V8 roar and some nice landscapes. Classic Top Gear. Cowboy duels, Sabine Schmitz chain car racing, @RobBrydon, a @kblock43 car chase and #TheStig The latest episode of #TopGear is available on @BBCiPlayer now. Outside the UK? 2013 Ford F-150 Limited

Mon, 28 Jan 2013

The Ford F-150 received yet another new model for the 2013 model year, the Limited trim, bringing the ways you can order this country's most popular vehicle to a grand total of 10. There really is an F-150 to suit any need now, and the Limited variant slots in at the very top of the range, above the already pampering Platinum model.
While normally I would admit that I'm the least-appropriate person to test a pickup, the fact that this particular trim places a much higher premium on luxury than anything with a bed and Blue Oval badge before it means that I don't need the workman chops of a skilled tradesman to judge how well this truck meets its true aim.
