This car looks to be pretty much original, has partial build sheet, original owner tag still there.

Engine seems to be all original based on visible numbers. Compression readings  # 1 @ 120- -- # 2 @ 120--# 3 @ 125--# 4 @ 120--#5 # 125--#6 @ 125--# 7 @ 120---# 8 @ 120---

New items of note: over $1500 parts just spent to get it going and includes- radiator from Bob's  Birdhouse new not recore, belts, some hoses, carb rebuilt, starter, brake pads, rotors, wheel cylinders, master cylinder

Needed to be road worthy: battery not included; tires ok to move but not drive on; right rear wheel hub cracks but ok to move with; fuel tank cleaned or replaced as it is dirty, maybe rusted, using remote gas can to start; full tune up; vacuum hoses; exhaust leaks; electrical work (charging system works, many electrical items not working incl front lights, wipers, fan, a/c compressor moves but does not turn not on; fuses missing and bad grounds likely, some pw's  make noise when switched but don't work, rear sequential turn signals work on passenger side and  switching on driver side)

Interior: is old, seats mostly solid no rips, headliner/dash/carpet bad, some pitted alum/metal trim. Swing away wheel sticks, hard to swing away

Exterior/body : car does not look to have been in any notable wrecks, all margins very tight/no misalignments; most ext chrome is good, straight, little rust; all floors solid, solid rockers, solid door bottoms; most all rubber is old/original and needs replaced; all glass/windshield good; rusted areas include the hood, driver door lower edge, lower rear passenger quarter, lower bottom of passenger fender and around battery box, around trunk corners

Bill Ford wins National Pond Hockey Championship with employees

Tue, 11 Feb 2014

Who says executives aren't people? This past weekend, Bill Ford, executive chairman of Ford Motor Company, and a group of employees trekked up to Eagle River, WI for a few games of pond hockey. Team Ford took part in the 2014 Labatt Blue/USA Pond Hockey Championship, capturing its fifth title in the 50+ Tier 1 Division.
"It feels great to win," Ford, who plays on the team alongside other Ford employees, told the USA Hockey website. "It was fun to play [River Valley Pioneers] because they're great guys and we play them every year. We finally beat them, which we were due. It was a very clean game, a tough game."
The FoMoCo team managed to score seven goals to River Valley's two, and went undefeated in all five of its games during the tourney. Take a look below for the official press release on Team Ford's win.

Ford acquires Livio to bolster connectivity biz

Thu, 26 Sep 2013

Ford Motor Company has announced the acquisition of Livio, a Ferndale, MI-based software development company best known for aftermarket in-car connectivity devices, but also as a supplier of technology for proprietary systems for automakers. Livio, co-founded by Sigal and Massimo Baldini, will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Global Technologies.
"With the additional expertise Livio provides us, Ford intends to continue to lead the next generation of in-car connectivity with technology advancements that give consumers more options to access their devices on the go," said Paul Mascarenas, chief technical officer and vice president, Ford Research and Innovation, in a statement.
Ford is clearly trying to beef up its in-house tech capability around telematics and device connectivity. While the Blue Oval has been a leader in these areas with SYNC and MyFord Touch in terms of getting the systems into as many cars as possible, the execution of the applications have been criticized for glitches.

Ford 3D-printing Mustang out of chocolate and candy for Valentine's Day

Thu, 13 Feb 2014

Is your beloved in love with the new 2015 Ford Mustang? Do they like chocolate (that's a trick question - everyone likes chocolate)? Are they a bit of a futurist? Then this Hallmark holiday, you need to get them this Ford Mustang, 3D-printed in sweet, delicious chocolate.
Ford is teaming with 3D Systems' Sugar Lab in LA to produce the super-accurate pony car confections in both chocolate and sugar candy varieties. The process kicked off with a CAD rendering of the 2015 Mustang, which was then programmed into the 3D printer. After a bit of work from the machine, a four-inch long, two-inch tall Mustang was the result. Why the tieup with 3D Systems, though?
"We wanted to create something fun to show that while 3D printing made these edible Mustangs, manufacturing-level 3D printing was used in the development of Ford's all-new sports car," said Paul Susalla, Ford's supervisor of 3D printing.
