  • Offering for sale at no reserve (as usual) one 1959 Thunderbird 2drht coupe. This car is out of Texas so is a dry climate car.  The floors are solid in the interior but we could not get the trunk open to see if floor needs attention. We can look through the back seat and the trunk appears to be in good shape. It is missing the motor, trans and radiator. I do have several 352 engines and cruiso transmissions that can be included if going back stock. Does have factory in dash A/C and power steering but that appears to be all the options. Other than that the car appears to be super solid, straight and  complete showing only minor scrapes and dings here and there. Real honest car. The paint appears to be the original paint so it is dried up, sun burned and flaking. It is a triple black car (body, roof, interior). The interior is dried up and thread bare and needs to be completely redone. Carpets have been removed and thrown away to keep the car dry. The car appears to be very solid and virtually rust free with a couple minor exceptions being a couple small spots inside the front wheel well opening at the back and it is minor. Appears to be a mudtrap area of some sort. . Basically an original, unmolested car to start your restoration. I prefer these types of vehicles rather paying more for someone else's bad work that you have to take apart and redo anyway. Selling with intention of needing restoration of all components.
  •  It has a good title.
  • The car can be stored here for up to 6 months - after that we will come up with a monthly fee.
  • Possible delivery if you are within 400 miles of central Kansas south or west for $1.00 a loaded mile fee.
  • If you have questions, please feel free to ask.
  • If you would like a better look at anything we can send more pictures.
  • We expect payment within 5 working days of the end of the auction.
  • See  our web site at win-trymotors.

Trump to meet with CEOs from Ford, GM, and FCA

Tue, Jan 24 2017

In the wake of his inauguration, President Donald Trump is set to meet with the CEOs of Ford, General Motors, and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Tuesday morning to discuss jobs, the North American Free Trade Agreement, and potential tax cuts. Trump has been highly critical of American automakers for shipping jobs to Mexico and has threatened to impose heavy import fees on foreign-made vehicles. Trump has threatened to dissolve NAFTA in order to encourage automakers to manufacture cars in the US. Automotive News and Crain's Detroit Business are reporting that the group is set to discuss how to bring more auto industry jobs back to the US. Under NAFTA, many automakers, both foreign and domestic, have moved vehicle production out of the States to Mexico in order to cut costs. White House spokesperson Sean Spicer said Trump is looking forward to the meeting and discussing how to bring jobs back to America. Dismantling NAFTA would be a major blow to automakers. Trump blasted Ford during his campaign for manufacturing in Mexico, but FCA and GM also have factories south of the border. Earlier this month, Ford nixed plans for a $1.6 billion plant in Mexico, instead investing $700 million into an existing facility. At this year's Detroit Auto Show, the unspoken theme was America and American manufacturing. Expect the automakers to fight to keep NAFTA alive. Ford owns Automotive Loyalty Awards, Audi and Subaru are king of conquests

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

Customers are a commodity in the automotive industry, and like any other commodity, automakers trade them back and forth. Only nobody wants to give up their customers - just to keep the ones they have and try to attract others.
That's what the Polk Automotive Loyalty Awards are all about. Every year the industry research body names the automakers, brands and models that manage to keep their customers coming back for more - and attract buyers to switch from other makes. Ford usually does pretty well, but this year it rose above even its own track record.
Not only did Dearborn win the Overall Loyalty to Manufacturer award, but also the Overall Loyalty to Make. Ford also took the African American category, and the F-150 was named the top full-size half-ton pickup in customer loyalty. Ford COO Mark Fields (pictured above) accepted the awards and gave the keynote address at the awards ceremony.
