2004 Ford Thunderbird on 2040-cars
Pixley, California, United States
Feel free to ask me any questions about the car : sharlasbbielat@barmyarmy.net .
This rare Special Edition has been my garage queen for years. Currently has 3,400 original and documented miles.
Always garaged, babied and covered. It has been driven around the block occasionally mainly to be kept lubricated.
Sunny California car, never seen rain or snow.
Showroom and factory brand new condition in and out. Not even the smallest scratch, stone chip, oxidation, spot
mark or any imperfection anywhere. Never been in a commercial car wash. Paint shines just like new. Never seen a
mechanic except couple of times for oil changes.
Everything is original and factory stock. Including the original battery and Michelin tires with 100% tread left.
Car starts and drives perfectly just like day one. Everything functions the way it should.
Interior still smells like new. Seats, carpet, floor matts, headliner and etc... look brand new. Same with engine
and trunk compartments.
*There were only 1000 of this model ever produced (this one is 177/1000 with tag on the dash). It is fully loaded
with Special Edition's options. Has both the hard and soft tops and all the accessories, manuals, window stickers,
records and etc....still in the original factory package. All accessories including tools, equipment, manuals,
hard top stand and cover, soft top cover and etc... originally came with the car are included. I bought this car
mainly for collection purpose and have not put mileage on it. Either way if you are looking to purchase for
collecting purposes or planning to use it as a daily driver, this modern classic convertible roadster is a real
head turner and probably is the most cleanest and lowest mileage PC Bird that exists today.
I have a California DMV title and current registration on hand.

2015 Ford Focus gets more Aston-y [w/video]
Tue, 04 Mar 2014With more and more members of the Ford brand adopting a new familial face, the Focus has been left looking like an odd man out. At the Geneva Auto Show, though, it properly rejoined the family, adopting the now familiar Aston Martin-ish grille that's proliferated throughout the range.
Overall, we're liking the refreshed Focus' look. Aside from the new grille, the headlights have been restyled and now look like elongated versions of the lamps on the Focus ST. Functionally, those headlamps are bi-xenon units, complete with an adaptive front lighting system. Out back, the rear retains the same overall look, which has been smoothed out for 2015.
In the cabin, the second-generation of Ford's much-maligned Sync system makes its debut. Sync 2, as it's called, is supposedly more intuitive than the first-gen system. Ford is promising "one-shot" navigation functions for the system. Saying "I'm hungry," should bring up a list of nearby restaurants. Of course, we'll be reserving final judgment until we can test the new system in person.
Popular Science magazine's Best Of What's New 2012 all ate up with cars
Tue, 20 Nov 2012Popular Science has named the winners in its Best of What's New awards, the victors coming in the categories of aerospace, automotive, engineering, entertainment, gadgets, green, hardware, health, home, recreation, security and software. The automotive category did not go wanting for lauded advancements:
Tesla Model S: the Grand Award winner for being "the standard by which all future electric vehicles will be measured."
BMW 328i: it's 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gets called out for being more powerful and frugal than the six-cylinder it replaces.
2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost flogged and analyzed by Ignition
Mon, 13 Oct 2014Aside from the way it looks and perhaps its independent rear suspension, the biggest bit of news on the 2015 Mustang may be the inclusion of its 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. That blown mill marks the first time since the Mustang SVO of the '80s that a turbo has been fitted under the engine of Ford's pony car.
The Mustang EcoBoost is the subject of the latest episode of Ignition from Motor Trend, giving us a great look at the technical, nitty-gritty side of the turbocharged coupe. Covering it from bow to stern, host Carlos Lago walks us through the boosted Ford before taking to the track for some driving impressions, with particular praise given to the low-end grunt of the 2.3-liter mill.
Check out the full video and then let us know which 2015 Mustang has your interest piqued the most - the EcoBoost four, the 5.0L V8 or the entry-level V6.
