Very nice garage-kept low mileage example of the second year of the newest generation of Ford's famous T-Bird.  Original Whisper White finish with Deluxe Red and Black Leather interior.  Fully loaded including Chrome wheels, heated seats, both convertible top and hardtop.  Recently serviced by local Ford dealer.  This car is in showroom condition with only 1,300 miles average per year since new!!  We recently enjoyed it during a trip to the mountains and can attest to the fact that all systems are in fine working order, and ready for your enjoyment.  The original convertible top and top boot look like they were never used.

These cars are factory-equipped with an economical and reliable 3.9L V-8 engine, 5-Speed automatic transmission, 4-Wheel disc brakes, Nice stereo with CD, remote entry, and power everything.  We feel that these cars are very undervalued in the collector car market today.  You can drive them every day, get great gas mileage on regular gas, and watch it increase in value.

Tom Mack Classics has been buying, selling, and trading quality collector cars since 1980.  We invite you to our dealership at Lake Murray, South Carolina to drive and inspect this special 'Bird.  As with all of our collectibles, it is sold AS-IS with no warranty whatever.  Please call us at our office at 803-364-3322 during normal business hours or call Tom on his cell at 803-351-3695 before 9:00PM Eastern Daylight time  for additional information. Additional photos available, just let us know what you would like to see. Financing and worldwide delivery available, or fly in, and enjoy your drive home! This car is advertised for sale on our website, as well as other sites, including EBay. If it were to sell before this auction listing expires, we reserve the right to remove it from this auction.  We encourage you to call us if you would like to buy this special T-Bird.

Fewest vehicles ever found eligible for Most American survey

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

Once again, the most American car on the market is from an American brand. The Ford F-150 retained its number one spot in Cars.com's annual survey of the most American vehicles, trumping the Toyota Camry, which remains at number two.
Ford taking the top spot is small consolation, though, as the Detroit Three aren't too well represented here. General Motors scored a win at number seven, with the Chevrolet Corvette, while Chrysler squeaked in at number ten, with the Dodge Viper. Outside of those three vehicles, Toyota and Honda dominate the top ten.
What's most remarkable, though, is that there were so few cars available for this year's list.

Ford Ka Concept shown in Brazil, could enter production by 2014

Wed, 13 Nov 2013

The Ford Ka (pronounce it like a Bostonian saying "car") is the Blue Oval's sub-Fiesta offering in a number of markets that aren't North America. It's been a staple in Europe since it launched in 1996 and in South America since 1997, where it's enjoyed quite a bit of popularity as an affordable, efficient city car.
The European and South American models grew apart over the years, until Europe ended up with a Fiesta-inspired car and Brazil retained a more evolved version of the original Ka's styling. With this Ka Concept, which is really a concept in name only, Ford is previewing a Ka not just for the European market, but as the brand's new, global small car. With city car sales expected to grow dramatically in coming years and the ever increasing price of fuel, Ford's move to get a new, competitive car into the market on a global level isn't surprising.
Wearing Ford's new, familial grille, the Ka Concept features the same crisp, sculpted sheetmetal that's adorned the Fusion and Fiesta. Developed in-house by Ford Brazil, a production version could launch by 2014, according to Ford's press release. It's unclear what engines will sit under this car's hood, although we'd bet the 1.0-liter, EcoBoost three-cylinder from the Fiesta will be available at some point.

Project Ugly Horse: Part V

The Slippery Slope
I've had a healthy appreciation for cars that stop since one truly unfortunate incident with a runaway 1971 Lincoln Continental.
It's funny how quickly a party can turn from, "We're all having blast" to "What happened to the front of the house, and how many stitches do you think this is going to take?" Standing in a Mustang salvage shop in Kodak, Tennessee, I couldn't help but feel I had strayed into the latter territory with Ugly Horse. There was a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 plucked from a rear-ended Cobra sitting off to my left. The shelves were lined with second-hand Roush and SVT components galore, but I couldn't stop staring at a set of rotors with the approximate diameter of my chest.
