YOU ARE BIDDING ON A 1992 FORD THUNDERBIRD SUPER COUPE 3.8L SC. I AM THE SECOND OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE. I HAD THE CAR PAINTED LAST YEAR PROFESSIONALLY BY THE FORD DEALER I WORK AT. THE PAINT CODE IS UG - PLATINUM WHITE PEARL METALLIC. IT IS A TRI COAT PEARL, VERY PRETTY COLOR. THE ONLY ISSUE WITH THE CAR IS THAT THE DASHBOARD ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE IS CRACKED. I HAVE A MINT CONDITION DASHBOARD THAT IS INCLUDED WITH THE CAR IF YOU CHOOSE TO FIX IT. I BOUGHT THE CAR WITH BLOWN HEAD GASKETS. WHILE WORKING AT FORD AS A TECHNICIAN I REPLACED BOTH CYLINDER HEADS, USED ARP RACING HEAD STUDS AND FASTENERS. THE BOTTOM END DID NOT GET AFFECTED BY THE HEAD GASKETS BEING BLOWN. THE ENGINE RUNS EXCELLENT. IT ALSO HAD A BLOW AOD4 AUTOMATIC ORIGINALLY, I ENDED UP PUTTING A M5R2 5 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND PEDAL ASSEMBLY DIRECT FIT INTO THE CAR FROM A DONOR T-BIRD I OWNED. THE CAR IS IN GREAT SHAPE AND IS LOOKING FOR A GOOD HOME AND OWNER TO DRIVE IT. I DO NOT HAVE THE NEED FOR A TWO DOOR CAR ANYMORE BECAUSE THE FAMILY IS GETTING BIGGER. Top Gear's latest trailer shows off a golden Bugatti Chiron
Thu, Feb 23 2017Top Gear is returning on March 5, and after a lackluster first series with the new hosts, the new group seems determined not to hit a sophomore slump. Chris Evans is gone, and the latest teaser trailer shows the new trio of Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris, and Rory Reid strapped into some pretty fantastic cars, including the Bugatti Chiron and the Ford GT. All of the typical Top Gear segments appear to be present, though the quick cuts don't give us many details. The trailer shows a copious amount of powerslides from an assortment of cars, and even Chris Harris racing around Daytona. Aside from the Bugatti and Ford, cars from Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari, BMW, Aston Martin, and Alfa Romeo are all present. Co-hosts Eddie Jordan and Sabine Schmitz don't appear at all, so it seems their roles may be downplayed to focus on three guys, as was the case pre-reboot. We have some hope for this re-relaunched show and will be keeping an eye out for more details in the lead-up to the series premiere. It's with good timing then, that our friends at Petrolicious have uploaded their newest, well-crafted mini-documentary to the expansive airwaves of the Internet. Here, we meet the brothers Ring in person - Mike and Jim - and see how they've lent they're passion for craftsmanship to their business, along with their surname. A 1964 Ford Fairlane dubbed "Afterburner" and a 1965 Mustang called "Producer" star in this show.
Fiat boss Elkann being mentored by... Bill Ford?
Tue, 26 Mar 2013Fiat Chairman John Elkann has been turning to an unusual source for advice on the car business. While speaking during an interview with The Detroit News, Elkann said he often asks Bill Ford Jr. for advice on how to proceed with the turnaround at Chrysler. "It's great to have the opportunity to share this with someone like Bill, who has experienced many things and gone through many things ... especially linked to Detroit." Elkann said.
As the Agnelli family heir, Elkann has inherited a long and fruitful friendship with the Ford family. While Giovanni Agnelli built his first Fiat four years before Henry Ford created his first vehicle, it was Ford that showed Agnelli the benefits of mass production and helped pave the way for what would become the Fiat empire.
Giovanni's grandson, Gianni, helped mentor Bill Ford when he was elected chairman of Ford Motor Company. Now, Ford is returning the favor by helping Elkann navigate the automotive industry's tumultuous waters.
