I purchased this 1987 Ford Thunderbird in about 1990. I used it for several years and gave it to my elderly mother. She maintained the car in near perfect condition until her death several weeks ago. She scraped the garage door with the passenger side door and someone backed into her, causing a small dent in the driver side rear fender. Both are pictured in the attached photo's. The car has been garaged since 1990 and probably since new. The car is currently stored at my Sister's home in El Dorado, Ks just a few miles NE of Wichita, just off the Kansas Turnpike. The Air conditioner compressor is not working. However, replacements are available on the Internet. The interior is in perfect condition as is the paint. The tires are a few years old but look new. It was being driven locally until a couple of months ago and I can assure you it runs like it did when new. My brother-in-law tells me the battery is down but he will assist the purchaser if required. The title is still in my mother's name but my sister has power of attorney to transfer the clear title. 2015 Ford F-150 configurator is ready to go to work
Thu, 25 Sep 2014Ford is inching towards the on-sale date for the eagerly anticipated, aluminum F-150 pickup. While we're preparing to drive the new truck (expect our take on it sooner rather than later), the best-seller has reached another, albeit more minor, milestone as its online configurator has officially been switched on.
We took to Ford's consumer website to mess about with it and see just how ridiculous of a truck we can build. Among the fun things we discovered were these two nuggets - the most expensive truck we could configure was not the top-end Platinum model, but instead the King Ranch, which rang up at $65,955. The other exciting discovery? The new truck would be available in a questionable shade called Blue Jeans (shown above with the optional contrasting Caribou paint). Yep, Blue Jeans.

NHTSA probing 2000-2003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable models over throttle issue
Mon, 29 Oct 2012A potential issue with the speed control cable collar has got the 2003-20003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable under the spotlight of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. If the collar breaks it can cause the throttle to be stuck open.
The issue is limited to vehicles with the 3.0-liter V6 Duratec. There are just 50 complaints so far out of 310,000 cars, but the NHTSA has begun an investigation into whether a recall should be issued.
