1965 Ford Thunderbird Landau. I am listing this car for a friend. She inherited it back in the 1980's. It has since been garage kept and driven very sparingly. Options include, power front seats, deluxe seat belts, remote side view mirror, swing-a-way steering wheel, power windows. The interior is all original. The door cards need a little detail work, the driver's seat has some minor flaws, but all stitch work...no holes. The 48 year old headliner is like new! The vinyl top appears to also be original and looks good, no tears, just color fading...Odometer reads 35,440. The original 390 V-8 was replaced by Motor Works Inc., in 1987 at odometer reading 31,000. The drivers side window does not work very well, the radio also needs some attention. The car runs, drives, stops, and shifts very nicely. All the chrome is in excellent shape and there is a lot of it! All the lights and signals work great. New battery, newer Auto-lite spark plugs. Exhaust looks stock, it is in good shape and sounds great.Tires are in good shape as well, no cracking. I performed a fresh lube oil and filter service... This car has also been recently waxed and detailed and looks fabulous! It has an older repaint that is not show quality, but looks very nice! The car is virtually rust free with the exception of a few surface bubbles above the rear wheel wells. I suspect that Brittany Blue is a rare color for these birds, as I haven't seen another one around. And production for 1965 was @ 79,000 with only @ 20,000 Landau's. A very rare and beautiful classic indeed!
The reserve set for this car is quite fair. The car is in Salt Lake City, Utah. Zip code 84115. All shipping cost's and arrangements are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Please call me first if you have a (0) feedback score. Your bid will not be allowed unless I speak with you first. My number is (801) 541-2307. I am also available to answer any question, anyone might have at this same number. Please bid with the intention of purchasing. These Ebay auctions are legally binding contracts to buy. This is a very nice example of a wonderful year for Thunderbird. Bid with confidence!

2014 Ford Fiesta ST
Tue, 26 Mar 2013Concentrated ST Formula Proves Just As Potent
I'm not the jealous type... usually. But I will fully admit to being somewhat of a Pouty Polly when I read executive editor Chris Paukert's report after driving the then-new 2013 Ford Focus ST through the impossibly pretty southern French Alps region last June. I feel like a broken record saying this yet again, but hot hatchbacks hold a special place in my heart. And while I'm always giddy to drive any sort of small, turbocharged three- or five-door at home in Detroit, my jealousy was indeed piqued after hearing Paukert tell about the challenging yet breathtaking roads he encountered while driving the flamin' yellow Focus. You know, the sort of roads that, from above, look like carelessly drizzled lines of icing on the frosted Alpen caps.
Several months later, I found myself piloting a Focus ST just west of metro Detroit, pitting it head-to-head against one of Autoblog's perennial favorite cars, the Volkswagen GTI. It was fantastic - enough so that I fully stand behind my statement that in terms of balls-out performance, the Focus ST cannot be beat as far as today's front-wheel-drive hatches are concerned.
2015 Ford Mustang Convertible shown on Twitter [UPDATE w/video]
Thu, 05 Dec 2013It hasn't yet been 12 hours since the hotly anticipated 2015 Ford Mustang has been let out into public view. After a series of evocative leaks over the course of the last days, we brought you a full deep dive of the sixth-generation pony car at the dawning of today. And yet, here we are rushing to bring you news of a new Mustang variant, already.
Be it part of a plan to keep the Mustang fervor at full boil, or a misunderstood email somewhere in the chain of command, Ford UK has unceremoniously tweeted a picture of the 2015 Ford Mustang Convertible. For a newly global Mustang, getting our first look at the droptop from the convertible-crazy British does make some amount of sense.
As for details, well, you're looking at them. Brandon Turkus reported yesterday that the Mustang 'vert would make use of a fully electric convertible mechanism, and that it would be of fabric construction rather than some kind of retractable hardtop. We see here that the fabric part is clearly true, and it does look as though Ford may still be employing the same kind of manually attached tonneau cover that exists right now. Of course, our view from this angle isn't great, and the particulars are still up in the air.
Ford confirms Everest SUV production for China
Sat, 19 Apr 2014According to Ford, the Chinese SUV segment grew by 49 percent in 2013, and the Blue Oval held a 4.5 percent market share. At the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, Ford is showing the Everest SUV that, while just a concept for now, will go into production in the near future.
The Everest is a big, brawny seven-seat SUV that mixes solid, chiseled styling and contemporary Ford design cues. Up front there is an angular version of the trapezoidal grille and sharp, wraparound headlights. The beltline rises in the rear to make the back appear higher than the front. The rear seems just as chiseled, with the taillights resting in jagged scallops. There is no doubt that this concept means to look rugged, and ready for rough roads - the whole thing looks pretty great.
The truck was penned by Ford's Asia Pacific design and engineering team in Australia, and it was first shown in Sydney last year. Ford's JMC joint venture will build the truck for the Chinese market, and it will be sold at Ford dealers there. The Blue Oval isn't hinting at what powers the production version yet, but it reportedly shares some components with the foreign-market Ranger.
