I'm selling my 1965 Ford Thunderbird Landau edition. I have owned the vehicle for over 2 years now and it is currently insured/ registered and on the road. The vehicle is in original condition and has about 76,000 miles as per odometer. Since owning it I have done some work to it as needed. I am selling it because I have had a baby recently and can not enjoy it anymore. Vehicle has a 390 motor with 300 horsepower, Automatic trans, steering wheel swings to side, am radio, power windows (main window motors may be bad, but rear windows work slowly), disc brakes. I recently put 2 new tires in the front and had an alignment. Radiator has been re-cored a year ago, I replaced battery and tray about 2 years ago. Comes with car cover ($180 value), and original manuals. The vehicle has no dents or major body flaws. It has some minor rusting in few areas. The worst spot is near the passenger rear panel (as in photo). Interior is in decent condition, but has cracks on dashboard, a couple small holes on seats, headliner has holes and is falling in one spot, doors have some cracks, all original carpet except driver side which was replaced by previous owner. The vehicle is sold as is, with no warranty or returns. I am doing my best to describe it, so please e-mail me if you have any questions.
*NO RESERVE*
Vehicle is also listed for sale locally. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time if the vehicle has no current bids.

Ford builds two-millionth EcoBoost engine
Tue, 17 Sep 2013Ford's EcoBoost engine lineup is only four years old, but it is growing into an important and popular global engine. As proof of its popularity, Ford just produced its 2 millionth EcoBoost engine - a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder - which rolled off the assembly line in Louisville, Kentucky under the hood of an Escape.
Ford now offers five EcoBoost engines around the world ranging from the 1.0-liter inline-three to the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6, and the automaker is expanding production of two of its engine lines to keep up with demand. Earlier this year, Ford announced that the 2.0-liter EcoBoost would be built in Cleveland, Ohio starting in 2014 and, more recently, Ford said that it will be doubling production of the 1.0-liter EcoBoost in Germany. That turbo-three will also be produced in China at a new Ford engine plant in Chongqing.
Scroll down for Ford's full press release on this EcoBoost production milestone, including a breakdown of where all the engines were made.

Ford celebrating 80 years of Aussie utes as it prepares to shutter Oz manufacturing
Wed, 26 Feb 2014Ford is ending Australian production after 90 years in 2016, and with it may go perhaps the most iconic vehicles in its auto market - the ute. Car-based pickup trucks like the Ford Ranchero and Chevrolet El Camino were always more of a curiosity than a true market force here, but in Australia, they have long proven hugely popular.
As the legend goes, Ford invented the niche after a farmer's wife had asked Ford Australia's managing director for a more utilitarian car. Her request was simple: "My husband and I can't afford a car and a truck but we need a car to go to church on Sunday and a truck to take the pigs to market on Monday. Can you help?"
Ford's design team came up with a two-passenger, enclosed, steel coupe body with glass windows and a steel-paneled, wooden-frame load area in the rear. The sides of the bed were blended into the body to make it look more unified, and to keep costs down, the front end and interior were based on the Ford Model 40 five-window coupe. Power came from a V8 with shifting chores handled by a three-speed manual. Within a year, the new vehicle was ready, and production began in 1934. Lead designer Lewis Bandt christened it the coupe-utility.
