The under carriage is solid and presents as new with the original factory undercoating still in place, exception is area of floor where driver's feet rest which needs repair. The suspension is level front to back and side to side, which is unusual for these cars. The car will run, but don't expect to hop in and drive it around. The gas tank was physically punctured thanks to a misplaced jack by a well meaning helper while in storage, so it is currently run off of a temporary small electric fuel pump using an attached pick up tube that can be placed in a can of gas. Gas and brake lines are original and like new. Original fuel pump is still in place as well. Points were adjusted and new coil installed. Car is virtually rust-free, but has small, fixable dents and creases, from storage. Car has the original coat of factory paint. Trunk compartment very solid. Interior all there and usable as is, but will need recovering, headliner needs replacing- bows are there. There are extra trim parts in the trunk, and a jar of small parts. It has factory air conditioning, but will that will need repair, including another compressor. All in all, this is a GREAT candidate for an amateur or professional resto: a very, very solid, Southwestern car that's never seen salt, is fully optioned, completely original and unmolested, and a rare color combo car. 2015 Ford F-150 claims segment's best payload, towing ratings

While we are set to drive the new, 2015 Ford F-150 in the coming days, there's a big piece of news on the latest-generation of the Blue Oval's bread-and-butter pickup coming out of Dearborn, and it focuses on the truck's hauling and towing abilities.
The new F-150 will have a maximum payload of 3,300-pounds (V8 models), and, perhaps more importantly, a 12,200-pound tow rating (EcoBoost V6 models), which for the first time are compliant with the Society of Automotive Engineer's J2807 standards. Those best-in-class figures are significant feathers in Ford's cap as the Detroit Three continue duking it out for the title of top pickup.
"As founding members of the SAE trailer towing committee, we will meet SAE trailer towing standards," Ford's Aaron Miller told Autoblog.

2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost

Earlier this week, Ford invited us to Charlotte, NC, to ride in an all-new 2015 Mustang fitted with its turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder. It's the first forced-induction, four-cylinder ponycar for the Blue Oval since the sun set on the 1986 Mustang SVO. We jumped at the opportunity, as only a handful of people have ever been in the passenger seat of this new car, and most automotive media won't get as close as we did until this fall.
As we revealed in our Deep Dive, Ford will slot this new turbocharged four as premium powerplant between its naturally aspirated 3.7-liter V6 and the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8. At last mention, the automaker said the direct-injected, all-aluminum engine will develop 305 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque, returning the best fuel economy of the three powerplants in the process. History buffs will note that those figures are appreciably stouter than the 200 horses and 240 lb-ft that the '86 SVO realized out of the same displacement, and the latter's figures were hugely impressive at the time. On paper, the new EcoBoost four looks to be a good fit for most owners who want to balance performance with efficiency - we were eager to see how it felt from the passenger seat.
