I HAVE OWNED THIS BIRD SINCE 1997. SHE IS MECHANICALLY SOUND. JUST BEFORE MY PURCHASE THE ENGINE HAD BEEN REBUILT. THREE YEARS AGO I HAD THE TRANSMISSION REBUILT. I HAVE DRIVEN HER LESS THAN 200 MILES SINCE. THE FRONT FLOOR PAN ON THE DRIVERS SIDE NEEDS REPAIR. I PURCHASED NEW FLOOR PAN SECTIONS AND NEW CARPET TO INSTALL ONCE THE FLOOR HAS BEEN REPAIRED. HAVE ANOTHER DRIVERS DOOR IN PRIMER READY FOR PAINT AND INSTALL. ALSO HAVE ANOTHER HOOD THAT GOES WITH THE CAR. HAVE INSTALLED MANY OTHER PARTS OVER THE YEARS. GEARBOX WAS RE-SEALED AT THE SAME TIME THE TRANSMISSION WAS DONE. SOME BLISTERING OF PAINT AND SMALL AREAS OF RUST HAVE STARTED. THIS CAR CAN BE DRIVEN ANYWHERE BUT DOES NEED RE-PAINT AND DETAILING. POWER WINDOWS AND SEAT WORK. THE SWITCH FOR THE PASSENGER DOOR WINDOW SHOULD BE REPLACED. I MAY HAVE ONE THAT WILL GO WITH THE CAR IF SOLD. BACK IN '05 I HAD THE REAR BUMPER AND TAIL LIGHT "Q"S RE-PLATED AS WAS THE INTERIOR WINDSHIELD TRIM. FACTORY TINTED GLASS. FEEL FREE TO EMAIL FOR MORE INFO. CAR DOES NOT HAVE A/C. Ford considering return to Le Mans with new EcoBoost LMP2

If you want to see a Ford racing prototype, you need look no further than the United SportsCar Championship, where the Blue Oval fields two Daytona Prototypes powered by an EcoBoost-branded 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6. But according to the latest rumors, that may not be enough for Ford, which has as much brand to promote overseas as it does back home.
That could be why Racer magazine is reporting that Ford may be poised to return to Le Mans in the coming years. As we all know, Ford competed at Le Mans in the mid-through-late '60s, bringing home four consecutive overall wins with the legendary GT40. The new program would not, according to Racer, seek to relive those glory days, but would instead compete for class wins in the LMP2 category.
Currently, LMP2 regulations are somewhat split between the United SportsCar Championship in North America on the one hand and ACO-sanctioned series like the European Le Mans Series, Asian Le Mans Series and FIA World Endurance Championship on the other, but plans are underway for the regulations to be unified in time for the 2017 season. That could be when Ford is targeting its return, allowing it to compete on both sides of the Atlantic to maximize its exposure.

Ford Escort testing, may be bound for Europe

There has been little news about Ford's China-focused Escort concept since debuting at last year's Shanghai Motor Show, but the no-frills sedan has shown its camouflaged face again during cold weather testing in Northern Sweden. While far from a guarantee, the test location might hint that the Blue Oval plans to market the car outside of Asia.
The Escort's black robe and zebra paint make it hard to tell if anything specific has changed about the design, but the shape of the sedan looks close to what was shown in Shanghai. Under the disguise, you can still make out the hexagonal front grille from the concept. When Ford announced the model, the company said that the design wasn't supposed to be "arrogant or pretentious," and it certainly achieved that. The engine range is still a mystery, but it seems safe to expect small, economy-focused powertrains.
A report from last year indicated that Ford may be considering broadening the new Escort beyond Asia and possibly even selling it in Europe. The fact that the company brought it to Sweden for testing could bolster that argument. A release date hasn't been set yet, but the automaker has promised 15 new products for China by 2015. The basic sedan could be on the road soon.

Finally, yet another classic Aussie muscle car appears in the pack: the 1972 Ford Falcon XA GT-HO. For those interested in the new rides, this car pack is included in the Forza Horizon 3 Car Pass, or can be purchased on its own. If only one or two vehicles are must-haves, it's also possible to purchase the cars individually.
