1962 Ford Thunderbird convertible 390 cubic inch V-8 automatic triple black in very nice condition. This car is a rust free desert car and has spent it's life garaged in Las Vegas and Bakersfield California. I have owned the car for 3 years and drive it 2-3 times per month and I bought it from a personal friend that owned it for approximately 25 years the car has not been in the elements or around any salt. The odometer shows 37881 but I have no way to know the true miles as it is a 5 digit odometer. Paint and body work is very high quality and is mechanically in great condition. You could take off on a cross country trip in complete confidence in this car as all belts tires hoses are all near new making this car a very fine driver. Ford Australia pulls the ol' talking car prank
Mon, 07 Apr 2014Siri from Apple has proven that being able to talk to your technology doesn't always work perfectly. But what if it could eventually go far enough to give a personality to inanimate objects like our cars? Ford took just this path to comedic effect by playing a prank on many unsuspecting Australians, in a new commercial for its EcoSport compact crossover.
The Aussies seem very nonchalant about having a random parked car talk to them, and they seem surprisingly game when it asks them to get in, call a celebrity and tell a joke. Ford bumped by Amazon in best-perceived brand list
Mon, 20 Jan 2014Back in July, a mid-year study from YouGov found Ford to have higher brand perception than any other company in the US. While Ford failed to top the year-end study, it still has plenty to brag about. The final BrandIndex report shows that online retail giant Amazon edged out Ford for the top ranking, while Subway, the History Channel and Lowe's rounded out the top five spots.
For Ford, it's still an improvement from sixth place in the 2012 study, and, more importantly, it dominated other automakers in terms of brand perception with a clear advantage over Toyota, Honda, Chevy and Volkswagen. To determine how well - or not so well - a brand is perceived, YouGov uses a Buzz score that asks respondents whether they've "heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news or word of mouth" and whether it was positive or negative. While it isn't clear how many respondents were included, YouGov does point out that Ford had a strong presence in social media, advertising and newsworthy toward the end of the year.

If you drive a recent Ford SUV or crossover, you may want to keep a watchful eye out for thieves - especially if you live in the New York metro area or in Detroit. A new study from the National Insurance Crime Bureau has named three Ford models as the most likely vehicles in their genre to be stolen, with CUVs in general being especially attractive to bandits.
