RARE FIND!!! This is an ALL ORIGINAL 1955 Ford Thunderbird Convertible with 67,437 Original Miles on it! It comes in a Retro Black with a matching vintage Black, White & Chrome interior. This car is very much together and it shows! Truly untouched by time! It appears that this car is 100% intact with all matching numbers! The stock 7-volt electrical system is still in place and has not ben modified. There is also a new battery in this car. This classic / historic American sport luxury coupe sedan comes with power steering, power seat, power brakes and the coolest switches, gauges and chrome trim that you will ever find on a vintage automobile! This car starts right up however only when the car is in neutral. It runs and drives well and the transmission shifts smoothly. Amazingly preserved through time, this car was very well taken care of and it really shows. Here is your chance to have one of these truly rare, low mileage, all original condition with matching numbers, iconic American cars for yourself! This car is really in good overall condition. Although the paint is cracked all over it still looks good. The carpets in it look good and the seat looks very nice. Take a look at the pictures. The inside of this car is really cool! Though inspired by, and positioned directly against, the Corvette, Ford billed the Thunderbird as a personal luxury car, putting a greater emphasis on the car's comfort and convenience features rather than its inherent sportiness. The 1955 Ford Thunderbird sold exceptionally well in its first year. In fact, the Thunderbird outsold the Corvette by more than 23-to-one! The only noticeable items are that the passenger door does not open, the paint will need to be redone, the radio is inoperative, the blower fan needs to be repaired and the car does not have a convertible top on it at all. There is no hard top either. However it needs to be noted that the frame and the floor pans are in excellent condition!!! This 1955 Ford Thunderbird Convertible is being offered "as is". Please keep in mind that this car is not restored. Instead please think of this car as an incredible place to start with very little left to make it a "show winner". It has been sitting for some time in a very safe and controlled environment. It has not seen rain or snow. You don't find these cars anymore in this original condition. so don't miss out on this incredible opportunity. This is a very nice original mileage car. Most have been modified, which actually takes away from the highest value of the vehicle. True collectors want all original cars that have not had modifications done to it. They always seek out cars that are as original or true as possible to the way they were when they first rolled off the assemble line. Here is such a car. Please feel free to email any questions you may have or you can always come out to our store and see our vehicles for yourself. We are located at 2813 Easton Road, Willow Grove, Pa 19090. Ford builds USAF Thunderbirds Edition Mustang for charity

Tue, 02 Jul 2013

Each year since 2008, Ford has created a one-off Mustang to celebrate military aviation, and the cars have been auctioned off at the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Gathering of Eagles charity event to raise money to inspire the next generation of aviators. This year's charity car is the 2014 Ford Mustang GT US Air Force Thunderbirds Edition, which also helps celebrate 60 years of Thunderbirds air show excellence.
Of all the EAA charity cars, this Thunderbirds Edition is the most in depth. Painted to match the F-16 Tomcat fighter jets used by Thunderbirds, this Mustang also gets a widebody kit and 22-inch Forgiato wheels to go with the cockpit's Recaro bucket seats, rear-seat delete and modified navigation screen and gauge cluster. Even the Mustang's projector puddle lights have been changed to show an aircraft silhouette - rather than the Mustang's galloping horse logo - when the doors are open.
Themes for previous EAA charity cars include the Blue Angels, SR-71 Blackbird and the Red Tails as well as the F-22 Raptor-inspired AV8R and AV-X10 "Dearborn Doll" models. Scroll down for the press release for the 2014 Ford Mustang GT US Air Force Thunderbirds Edition, and be sure to check out our galleries for all six aviation-themed Mustangs.

280-bhp Elemental RP1 revealed, now with bike-engine option

Thu, Jun 26 2014

The Elemental RP1 might be Britain's next big boutique roadster success story. Designed by a team with Formula One experience, it aims to mix road car drivability with racecar performance in a single, adaptable package weighing less than 1,000 pounds. It was first previewed a few weeks ago, but the secrecy has finally disappeared due to its upcoming debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The backbone of the RP1 is a carbon fiber and aluminum tub onto which the front and rear subframes bolt on. Inside, it has an F1-like, feet-up driving position that allows for additional underfloor aerodynamic aids to improve downforce. Despite its hardcore nature, Elemental says that it wants the car to be very user friendly. Buyers should be able to drive the RP1 to the track, adjust it with some wrenches, go racing and drive it home. The company even claims the storage areas to either side of the engine offer enough room for a helmet and other racing gear. Hopefully, buyers don't crash, though, otherwise they might be stuck. Elemental is adding two more engine options for the RP1, as well. In addition to the previously announced tuned Ford 2.0-liter EcoBoost with 280 horsepower, buyers can also choose a upgraded version of Ford's three-cylinder 1.0-liter EcoBoost or a model aimed at pure track use with a 999cc Honda Fireblade motorcycle engine. The 2.0-liter uses a six-speed sequential manual gearbox, and a limited-slip differential and alternate gear sets are available as additional options. The first RP1s built will be pure racers for the 2015 season, and the first road cars will follow in the early summer of next year. Pricing isn't set yet, but scroll down for more details and full specs of Britain's latest feather light car for road and track. Introducing the Elemental Rp1 Press Release: 23/6/2014 British sports car manufacturer, Elemental Motor Company Limited, today released further details of their new and innovative, road legal track car, the Rp1. The Rp1 is an open top, road legal, mid engined sports car that incorporates state of the art road and race car technologies. Designed, Engineered and Built by a team with decades of experience in the Formula One and Supercar industries, it brings the concept of a road legal track car firmly into the 21st Century. The Rp1 will be revealed to the public for the first time, this weekend, at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it will located in the Moving Motor Show tent "First Glance" display.

2015 Ford Mustang renders reveal look of the real thing

Tue, 15 Oct 2013

This is, according to the pony-car obsessed kids over at Mustang6G.com, the closest, most accurate rendering of the new, 2015 Ford Mustang to date. Artis Chazcron used a combination of Ford CAD images and information from assorted spy shots to assemble a fairly handsome car, albeit one that conforms to the tired cliché of being more evolutionary than revolutionary.
Now, it's very important to note that these are still speculative renders, and that they only represent the base car - that could explain the lack of the Mustang's vestigial side scoops, along with other, newer styling cues that Mustang6G seems to think will arrive on production models. Those items include a new, double-bubble roof, although the Mustang aficionados claim that even if it were present, it'd barely be visible from these angles.
The front end is pretty spot on, compared to what we've seen from earlier spy shots, while the tail, with its interesting light design is something new. The louvered taillights look quite different from the current version, obviously, though Mustang has gone the whimsical route with taillights before. Also, note the new rear diffuser uses an integrated reverse light and rear foglight, the latter of which is required for sale in Europe.
