2005 Silver Ford Taurus - Runs Great Low Mileage For 2005 - Needs A Little Work on 2040-cars
Woodbridge, Virginia, United States
NO RESERVE!!! Car runs great. Great Family Car. Needs a little bit of work. Has power everything, V6 engine, cd player.. Great condition, no dents or scratches, interior could use a quick wipe down and vacuum, but other than that, great looking car. I'm selling it because the repair shop I go to wanted more than I was willing to pay to fix it and I already have two other cars. IF THIS CAR SELLS FOR $2000 OR MORE, I WILL GET CAR CLEANED, DETAILED, AND WASHED INSIDE AND OUT FOR PICKUP. Check my seller rating, you will not be disappointed. This car still gets from point A to point B (the steering is very difficult because it needs repaired), but it does need some minor work. I will list what needs done on the car, but these repairs can probably wait for at least 2 weeks if you have to drive the car. -Power Steering - Cooler is leaking, needs a new pressure hose, and needs 2 new return hoses -Needs Front Brake pads and rotors -Needs a new intake manifold and gaskets The parts for these repairs will cost you around $800 if you did them yourself. Will cost you around $1500 to $2000 (parts and labor) if you have a repair shop do them. Car is worth about $3500 in Private Party Fair Condition according to Kelley Blue Book Value. Good luck bidding. |

Auto critic calls out Corvette, Mustang and Cherokee faithful
Mon, 26 Aug 2013Most automotive purists fear change, but not without reason. Change, after all, did kill big-block V8s, along with most station wagons and manual transmissions. But change has also brought with it far more performance, safety and fuel economy - not to mention ridding the world of shag carpet interiors, bias-ply tires and those horrible motorized seatbelts of the early '90s.
By this time next year, the Chevy Corvette, Jeep Cherokee and next-generation Ford Mustang will all be on sale and will all, in some way, have angered or offended purists. To those critics, Mark Phelan of the Detroit Free Press is preemptively telling them to stop complaining - at least until they've all been driven. From the Corvette's square taillights and the Cherokee's radical nose to whatever pony car purists will harp on the 2015 Mustang for, Phelan's column points out the positives of automotive evolution and the negatives of staying the course for too long. That's fair enough, but do you think Phelan is on point, or all wet? Head on over to the Detroit Free Press to read his words, then have your say in Comments.

Which car companies are creating new jobs in America?
Fri, Sep 22 2017Since January, automakers have announced investments totaling $9.5 billion in U.S. plants, creating or retaining more than 12,000 jobs. Some of those companies have yet to announce just how many jobs will be created given their investments, with the location of many of those jobs still to be determined. Specifically, the 4,000-job Toyota-Mazda joint venture plant still hasn't announced its location, with numerous states jockeying for it. Hyundai has plans to invest $1 billion but has not announced a jobs number yet. And likewise Ford is investing $1.2 billion in Michigan without specifying a number of jobs. Volvo this week announced plans to add a second line to its factory under construction in South Carolina, spending another $500 million and adding 2,500 jobs to the 2,000 it was already trying to fill. Then Thursday, Daimler announced a $1 billion expansion to its facility in Tuscaloosa, Ala., to produce EV batteries and electric SUVs, a move that will add 600 jobs to its hiring this year. Above, we've created a handy pie chart showing you which companies have announced new jobs and how many there will be.
