1999 Taurus SHO -- V8! If you are looking for a decent SHO (Super High Output), here you go. 142,000 miles. It has been owned by my mother-in-law for over 8 years now, and she is selling because she got another car recently. It has been kept in the garage. I believe everything is functional with the exception of the cruise control, which is usually works. It is equipped with the 3.4L V8 that cranks out 235 hp and has dual exhaust. All the standard equipment + leather seats, power seats, keyless entry, sunroof, Mach stereo, etc. The car is all around generally clean. The tires are okay, but getting some age on them and you might want to replace before too much longer. She has kept it serviced, oil changed, and everything like that in the last 8+ years. It is in good condition, but not new as it is almost a 15 year old vehicle. If you are a collector of fine Tauri, this is your chance to own a SHO worth the money. I'm listing to sell. Put it in your Christmas stocking!

Mustang Cobra Jet prototype garners $200k for charity at Barrett-Jackson

The car was set to be auctioned off by Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Now that auction has taken place, bringing in an impressive $200,000 for MS research.
That's a lot of zeros for a Mustang, much less one you can't even drive on the street. But the unique pony car, bearing serial number 2014 BJMS CJXX1, packs a 5.0-liter supercharged V8, competition gearbox, wheelie bar, roll cage... all you could want, in short, in a turn-key drag racer. And all that for a good cause.
Production Ford Escort heading for Beijing
Wed, 16 Apr 2014Ford's long-dormant Escort nameplate returned affixed to a sedan concept at last year's Shanghai Motor Show. While not exactly a beauty, it showed a clean, straightforward take on Ford's current styling. The Blue Oval said at the time that it wanted to create a model that was stylish "but not one that is arrogant or pretentious." Job done. A year later, it looks like the minimalist vehicle might make its production debut at the Beijing Motor Show.
Autocar claims that the streetgoing version has been confirmed to it for the upcoming show, but so far, Ford isn't saying. If unveiled, the Escort is likely to be produced locally for the Chinese market with a domestic partner. Powertrain details remain a secret, but it seems highly likely that any production model would use a small three- or four-cylinder engine and front-wheel drive. Sales in other major world markets like ours are unlikely, but a test car was recently spotted in Europe.
Autoblog contacted Ford for confirmation, but the automaker demurred, with a spokesperson saying only, "At the moment, we are not confirming any vehicles planned for the show." It looks like we will have to wait to know for sure.
FBI investigating recently fired Ford engineer for espionage
Fri, 25 Jul 2014Agents of the FBI are investigating a potential case of industrial espionage involving a recently fired Ford employee. The Dearborn, MI-based manufacturer had its world headquarters searched by FBI agents on July 11, and according to The Detroit News, had warrants to seize recording devices handed over to Ford by Sharon Leach, a now-former Ford engineer.
Leach, who had spent 17 years with the Blue Oval, was fired last month, after Ford Security relieved her of eight Sansa listening devices. The FBI got involved shortly after her dismissal, searching her home on June 20 and seizing some two dozen items, including computers, jump drives and financial records, according to warrants obtained by The News.
Ford has remained quiet on the matter, with spokeswoman Susan Krusel confirming that the automaker was working with the FBI as part of a "joint investigation," while declining to provide any additional details.
