My Mother brought this car from her Nephew back in 1995 or 1996 part of the deal was that she put a transmission in it. The rest is history. My Mother drove this car to work, Church and she would run short errands in the W. Bloomfield area and back home. I took very good care of this car for her. The motor and transmission works very well. This car has no leaks. I kept up with regular maintenance for this car over the years, such as oil changes, struts, rotor, brake replacement, tires, and more...And of course, just like all older cars they do have their not so serious little problems. With this car the passenger side front door opens from the inside only. The rear window on driver side won't go down. the radio don't work. The warning lights: Oil, battery, and check engine flickers on and off from time to time but there is no problems at all. And there is a little rust, but other than that, this car runs great, and is in very good shape. This vehicle has 133,935 original miles on it. Watch this lead sled go rallying in Finland
Thu, 19 Jun 2014Custom cars generally fit into neat little boxes in terms of how they are used. For example, you're unlikely to see a modded Corvette going rock crawling; it's just not what it's made for (though we bet it'd look awesome, for a minute). In the same way, chopped, channeled and customized '50s hot rods aren't really meant to go racing. They look great and go fast, but they are generally more cruisers than sports cars.
However, if this video is any indication, the people of Finland don't adhere in these stereotypes, because this rodder is happy to play in the dirt with his lead sled.
According to the video, the driver is a member of the Ford-Freak Club of Finland, and he clearly knows how to have some fun. Possibly inspired by his country's great rally drivers, he gets the tail way out going around this gently curving gravel track. The stunt is somewhat reminiscent of the stock cars races on the sand at Daytona Beach, and this is probably close to what it sounded like too. Ford Focus ST checks into Jay Leno's Garage
Mon, 23 Sep 2013In a change of pace from the high-end vehicles that often appear in Jay Leno's Garage, Ford sends its hottest hatchback (in the US, at least), the 252-horsepower Focus ST, to be featured on Leno's show. Accompanying the five-door hatch is its chief engineer, Jamal Hameedi.
Riding on stylish 18-inch wheels with summer tires and with a spoiler that doubles as a lunch tray, Hameedi and Leno walk us through the finer points of what makes the ST special, which also includes bigger brakes, torque vectoring, a manual transmission and, of course, 252 hp and 270 pound-feet of torque from the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, which is made possible by 21 psi of turbocharged boost.

Ford reports $3B profit in Q4, $6.9B for the year
Tue, 28 Jan 2014Good news out of Dearborn today, as Ford announced $3 billion in profit for the last quarter of 2013, a 90-percent increase over the same period of 2012. Net income for all of last year, meanwhile, jumped to $7.2 billion from $5.7 billion in 2012, while pre-tax profits sat at a decade-topping $6.9 billion for all of 2013.
The results of the substantial profit increases are bigger profit-sharing checks for UAW employees. How big? A record $8,800 on average for 47,000 UAW workers, making 2013 the biggest year for profit sharing in Ford history. In total, $414 million will be paid as part of the profit-sharing scheme.
Now, it should be pointed out that a fair portion of Ford's Q4 profits were due to tax benefits, totaling $2.1 billion, according to Automotive News. Total profits would have also been higher, had there not been a significant recall on the Escape, as well as plant issues in South America.
