I listed my truck on e-bay a few years ago and a gentleman drove from North Carolina to inspect it and bought it before auction ended. Vehicle must be paid for before it leaves my possosion, No need to ship vehicle, come get it and drive it across the country to your home if need be. If vehicle is shipped, buyer must make all arrangments and pay all shipping costs, and vehicle will be paid for with proof in writing from my bank that proves I have the funds before it ships. (this may take up to a week) Best to pay in person with cash for quicker sale. I will fully cooperate with the shipping company to make transaction smooth, I prefer to deal with buyer in person. I require a $300 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit thru pay pal within 48 hours of auction end, and full payment in 7 days of auction end unless prior arrangements have been made. If deposit is not made within 48 hours, winning bidder will be reported to e-bay and vehicle will be re-listed and/or offered to next highest bidder. I prefer cash in person, but will accept bank wire transfer. Please, please, please, come look at this vehicle before bidding to inspect it, I want you to be happy with your purchase. I believe this is about as close to new as you can get for a 2008 vehicle as far as condition, However, keep in mind, it is not a new vehicle, be reasonable with your expectations. I believe it has 1 very minor door ding on drivers door by the door handle, and may have a very light scratch here and there. If vehicle is not as described when you pick it up, you do not have to buy it, but THE $300 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT WILL BE KEPT to pay for e-bay fees, etc. With that being said, if you do not come and look at it, and the vehicle ships, it is yours and can not be returned. If you want the local Ford Dealership to do a pre-purchase inspection for you, I will be glad to take it there or any other local maintenance shop for a report on condition for you, etc. You will be responsible for any costs for this, but I assume you could pay over the phone with your credit card with no problem and they could fax you their findings. I have never done this before, but is an option for the buyer. Again, I understand this is a large purchase and I want you to be happy with it. I have no reason to think the buyer wouldn't be happy with this vehicle.

How Ford hid the 2015 Mustang from spy photographers
Fri, 20 Dec 2013Now that we've finally seen the 2015 Ford Mustang, it's fun to go back and look at the spy shots we spent months pouring over, trying to dissect what was under all the camouflage. For the most part, Ford did a good job of concealing the car from spy photographers, and it released a video showing how much work went into doing so.
As crude as the Mustang's camo looked, all of the hard plastic, foam, vinyl and ratchet straps were actually created and put in place by a specific design team. The whole idea was to hide the car's identity, but it certainly ended up acting as a magnet for attention, too. According to Ford's press release, it took less than an hour for spy shots to appear online after the car was taken on public roads for the very first time - this is likely in reference to our first official spy shots of the Mustang from June, shown in the gallery below.
Scroll down for a press release and video, which shows footage of the 2015 Ford Mustang testing with minimal camouflage. This is probably the same track session where we got our first look at the Mustang's face back in August.
Ford reveals EcoBoost-powered Riley prototype for Daytona 24
Tue, 01 Oct 2013It's not the first time Ford has participated in the Daytona Prototype class as an engine supplier, but in revealing this new EcoBoost V6-powered Riley Technologies prototype for the new United SportsCar Championship, Ford is making a statement: "We want to show Ford EcoBoost's capabilities as an engine that provides both performance and fuel economy, on and off the track," says Jamie Allison, director of Ford Racing.
In addition to supplying the 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6, Ford had its production designer Garen Nicoghosian give the racecar brand-inspired design cues with support from Ford Racing chief aerodynamicist Bernie Marcus.
The car is scheduled to compete at next year's Rolex 24 at Daytona on January 25-26, but before that, Michael Shank Racing is working with Ford at another goal. Driving his Ford Thunderbird, NASCAR champion Bill Elliott set the track's top speed record at 210.364 miles per hour during a qualifying run for the Daytona 500 - way back in 1987 -- and Ford thinks it's about time for that record to fall. What better time the introduction of this new Ford-powered Daytona Prototype? Michael Shank Racing plans to use the twin-turbo V6-powered racer to beat Elliott's record, and it expects to begin prepping for the top-speed run on October 9. Ford, Volvo, Google, Uber and Lyft form self-driving alliance
Tue, Apr 26 2016Five companies arguably leading the worldwide effort to develop autonomous cars said Tuesday they're forming an organization to lobby the federal government to better prepare America's roads for self-driving technology. The founding members include some of the biggest companies in the automotive, autonomous, and ride-sharing realms – Ford, Google, Lyft, Uber and Volvo. Operating as the "Self-Driving Coalition for Safer Streets," they aim to work with lawmakers and regulators to clarify a disparate set of rules and regulations at both the state and federal levels that could hinder the deployment of autonomous cars. "The U.S. risks losing its leading position due to the lack of federal guidelines for the testing and certification of autonomous vehicles." – Hakan Samuelsson David Strickland, a former administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration who issued the first set of autonomous-related policies in that role (pictured below), will serve as the group's counsel and spokesperson. "The best path for this innovation is to have one clear set of federal standards, and the Coalition will work with policymakers to find the right solutions that will facilitate the deployment of self-driving vehicles," he said in a written statement. In January, Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx said his department would accelerate efforts to craft such federal standards. Those efforts include holding two public hearings on standards, the second of which is scheduled to be held Wednesday in Palo Alto, California. Foxx signaled the intent to deliver them by June. Google has been leading the efforts to ensure such standards are national in scope, warning their cars could run afoul of state-specific laws should they cross state borders or if standards varies between the federal efforts and regional ones. The complexity of such efforts was underscored recently, when NHTSA agreed that Google's software could be considered the driver of a vehicle for the purpose of meeting federal motor vehicle standards, an interpretation that would conflict with preliminary California rules that mandate a licensed driver operate a self-driving car that comes equipped with human controls like a steering wheel and brakes. At South By Southwest last month, Jennifer Haroon, Google's self-driving car business leader, said the company couldn't accomplish its goals under those regulations.
