this is great condition very rare, Factory Turbo Diesel, 2.3 engine with a 5 speed manual transmission in a 1986 Ford Ranger Pick Up
, this truck gets over 35 to 40 mpg, the truck has lots of life left - the body is solid, has no rust, the undercarriage is solid, -the engine starts up every time-no issues -the interior is in good condition except for small cracks on dash -the exhaust is fairly new -the rear springs are heavy duty -the tires are in good condition -all glass is good -the front brakes are new-new calipers, rotors, brake pads, and master cylinder -recent paint job -the diesel engine starts up and runs fine -the clutch is in good condition, and the 5 speed transmission works as it should -the 4x4 works just fine -this is a daily driver, currently licensed and insured the truck is currently in Surrey, BC, Canada, It can be picked up here, put a temporary tag on it and drive away. Ford reveals new rapid prototyping and low-volume production techniques [w/video]
Mon, 08 Jul 2013It's called "F3T," and that stands for Ford Free-form Fabrication Technology. The process that The Blue Oval has developed means being able to sidestep the weeks-long process of tool-and-die making when engineers want to construct a new part, allowing them to fabricate a three-dimensional part from a two-dimensional sheet of metal in just hours.
While F3T is being developed it is limited to "low-volume prototyping or even low-volume niche vehicles," but the next step is to evaluate it for use in Ford's global manufacturing facilities. You can find out more about it in the video and the press release below.
2015 Ford Mustang leaked in Autoweek
Tue, 03 Dec 2013We would have to imagine that Ford knew it couldn't keep its 2015 Mustang under wraps for too long, and with only days to go before the pony car's official unveiling, the dam seems to be cracking. SVTPerformance.com member Screamin 40th just posted some images taken of the sixth-gen Mustang prominently featured in and on the cover of the December 9 issue of Autoweek magazine.
These images show that recent renderings we saw weren't too far off. The face is just like what we saw in spy shots a few months back, but the rear of the car features some of its more striking cues. Starting with the pronounced haunches and hidden B-pillars, the rear view of the new Mustang might be its best with the ridged, three-bar taillights, a rear diffuser and the lack of a faux gas cap, which allows the galloping pony to be an even more prominent element against the black trim.
The images also reveal a small portion of the updated interior carrying over retro themes like the deep-dish steering wheel and dual-gauge instrument cluster, but it also adds some modern tech with a big infotainment displays and a clean center stack layout. No official word on powertrain or other specs, but while we can't make out most of the magazine's text, our eyes did catch mentions of an independent rear suspension and a 200-pound weight reduction.
Formula Drift kicks off 11th season on Streets of Long Beach
Tue, 08 Apr 2014The 2014 Formula Drift series kicked off last weekend in Long Beach, and saw Chris Forsberg, who you'll recall went mad and drifted around a warehouse in an Infiniti M, take the title behind the wheel of his Hankook Tire Nissan 370Z (shown above).
Forsberg really ran away with the first round of competition, outscoring his closest opponent, second-place finisher Kenneth Moen and his Bridges Racing Nissan 240SX, by 20 points. Third place was 2013 championship winner Michael Essa and his Yokohama BMW M3, 30.5 points behind Forsberg.
In the manufacturers' title, Nissan took an early lead with 122 points, which isn't a huge surprise considering five of the top ten drifters were piloting either a Z or a product of the brand's S platform. Ford, which had two drivers (Justin Pawlak and Vaughn Gittin, Jr.) in the top ten, took home second place, while BMW is currently third in the manufacturers' standings.
