Ford 1994 Black Ranger Xl Pickup Truck on 2040-cars
Clayton, New Jersey, United States
Ford 1994 Black Ranger XL
This is my Father in Law's truck. He wanted a pickup truck for around the house kinds of work, but soon after buying it he fell ill. Now it's just sitting there and he really could use the money right now. All the details I know about it are listed above in the item specifics. For the engine and drive type sections in the above details I just guessed. I don't know the actual engine type off hand and it may be rear wheel drive. I don't know and had to put something there in order to list. It is well used and has some dents and aging here and there on the exterior. The interior is basic with a CD player added at some point, but it's broken. The bed has a liner and a utility box. The tires look good. The truck currently doesn't start. My father in law normally does all the maintenance on his vehicles that he can manage on his own. However, with his health problems he can't manage to do any more than he has with it and he can't afford to take it to a repair shop. The day it didn't start for him he tried to replaced the spark plugs. Two of them he just can't get to though. He believes if both of those sparks plugs are replaced then the truck will start. It ran fine before this issue though. Pretty good for being over the 200K mark in mileage. Along with the two spark plugs, the battery needs replaced now from sitting since the late Summer. Also the truck is past due for its inspection because my father in law couldn't take it to get inspected when he couldn't get it to start. So needless to say who ever wins it will have to arrange to pick it up. As far as I know those are the only issues with the truck. Please understand though that I can't guarantee that those are the only issues. I'm going off of what my father in law told me and he only had it a short time. It has a lot of mileage from previous owns and that history is not known. If you have any questions I'll try to answer them. I've posted everything I can think of though. Thanx for your interest in my listing. |

Automakers donating money, vehicles and supplies to Oklahoma tornado relief effort
Fri, 24 May 2013Judging by the destruction the Oklahoma City area experienced earlier this week, residents are going to need a lot of help in coming months. Fortunately, a number of automakers - including General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Volkswagen, Honda and Toyota - have stepped up to donate money, supplies and vehicles to aid in the recovery and rebuilding processes.
Here's a quick rundown of which automakers have pitched in and what each contributed so far:
Ford Motor Company has donating $250,000 and a Transit Connect to the American Red Cross, and it will match all other donations made to the Red Cross (up to $250,000) using a special URL tied to the latter's website (link here). Additionally, its local Oklahoma dealers have thrown in an extra $150,000 for the United Way and the automaker will be offering an extra $500 toward the purchase of a new Ford vehicle.
Watch how Ford torture-tested the 2015 F-150
Wed, 09 Apr 2014The Ford F-150 has been the best-selling truck in the United States for the past 37 years, and the best-selling vehicle outright for the past 32. That's quite a legacy, and thus, it's no surprise that Ford worked super-duper-extra hard on creating the all-new, aluminum-bodied 2015 F-150 that debuted at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
During an event at the company's headquarters in Dearborn, MI this week, we were able to see all of the ways that Ford endurance tests, not just the new F-150, but all of its vehicles. From examining things like light exposure to interior materials and paint finishes, to making sure that corrosion absolutely does not happen when steel components come in contact with aluminum panels in the new truck. The goal: ensure that the new F-150 is nothing short of "Built Ford Tough."
But that's only a small part of the story. Of course, the new F-150 has to be able to withstand whatever a pickup buyer might throw at it - and truck buyers arguably demand the most from their vehicles. So in an effort to convey just what the new F-150 had to go through before being given the final go-ahead, Ford has released a series of videos, showing how its new halo truck was indeed torture tested.
2015 Ford S-Max adds all-wheel drive, adaptive steering
Fri, 03 Oct 2014The Blue Oval's 'One Ford' mantra has seen rapid commonization of the automaker's products across markets, but North America still has to look from afar at most of the company's Max-branded people movers, including this new S-Max. That's a bit of a shame - we like the space efficiency and above-average driving dynamics of the C-Max models we do get, but seeing this updated seven-seat small minivan makes us want the One Ford initiative to extend even further.
The new model's changes include an updated powertrain range including a 1.5-liter EcoBoost four with 158 horsepower, and a larger, 237-horsepower, 2.0-liter model, along with a pair of revised lower-emissions 2.0-liter diesels. The big news, however, is the advent of available all-wheel drive, something that hasn't been offered since the S-Max first went on sale back in 2006.
On the technology front, the S-Max is the first European model to receive Ford Adaptive Steering, a variable-ratio technology we recently sampled in a prototype Fusion that is expected to go into production on the next-generation Edge. The S-Max also receives a new aluminum-intensive integral link rear suspension, packaged to continue to fit up to 32 different seating combinations. Safety equipment is always a prime concern in kinschleppers like the S-Max, and to that end, this new model receives pre-collision assist technology and LED headlamps.
