You are bidding on this 2003 Ford Ranger. This truck is the perfect truck for someone who needs a light weight work truck because you will get a truck that will get you to where you need to go with little money. I bought this truck for my brother who is starting his own flooring/painting company. He hasn't really done much with the painting (That was the purpose of this light weight good on gas Ranger). In all honesty, he is not even requiring any heavy duty vans that can carry much heavier cargo (carpet). This truck has 143,500 miles, but it is still a ford truck. it starts right up. There is a hard shift in the first gear sometimes the second gear. I have sent this truck to get inspected, and the result show transmission is slipping. There is nothing my mechanic knew to work on transmissions, so I am selling the truck as is. it does drives straight, has lots of power, no noises or shakes. just simply doesn't shift properly. it isn't scary. I assume because the miles are high and the truck is in the cosmetic shape of a work truck, I will let the winning bidder deal with it. Again, this truck is drivable and you will not hurt the transmission or engine or anything like that. Cosmetically, it is a truck that is 11 years old and shows its wear and tear. it is not in bad shape at all. it is actually in good shape. The A/C is ice cold and all the knobs switches etc etc for the radio and such are in perfect working order
Please bid confidently. I have 100% feedback and try to really give a descriptive detail of what the truck is rather than just list each and every little scrape. Please look carefully at the pictures and know that I will gladly respond to any questions. I can send specific pics if you want as well. Please don't hesitate to email me.

NHTSA closes Ford F-150 EcoBoost acceleration probe
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Typically when we report on the findings of an investigation from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, it's because the government body has discovered a safety issue and prescribed a recall. In this case, however, NHTSA has closed an investigation into a reported performance deficit without ever getting to the recall stage.
The issue revolves around the Ford F-150 - specifically those equipped with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine - of which some 360,000 were built in the 2011, 2012 and 2013 model years. After receiving an initial 95 complaints, NHTSA opened an investigation last May - almost a year ago - into the reported issue of reduced engine power under hard acceleration. The agency has since received a total of 525 such complaints, and Ford itself reported receiving over 4,000.
Together, NHTSA and Ford determined that the problem resulted from cylinders misfiring, an issue itself stemming from water getting into the charge air cooler (CAC) mated to the turbochargers. In particularly humid or rainy conditions, water was found to get into the CAC, causing some of the cylinders to misfire, which in turn triggered the ECU to disable those cylinders in order to protect the catalytic converter from damage.
2018 Ford Expedition vs other big SUVs: How it compares on paper
Fri, Nov 10 2017With our Alex Kierstein rightly impressed in his first-drive review of the new 2018 Ford Expedition, we decided to dig a little deeper into the numbers, and we came up with the spreadsheet below to highlight how the new 2018 Expedition compares on paper to its main full-size SUV competitors: the 2018 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban (and therefore the 2018 GMC Yukon), 2018 Toyota Sequoia and 2018 Nissan Armada. We also threw in the new, even bigger 2018 Chevrolet Traverse since, as you'll see, its massive dimensions should put it on the radar for anyone who needs loads of passenger and cargo space but doesn't care as much about towing. A few notes about the chart above. First, the 6.2-liter V8 that's included with the new-for-2018 Tahoe RST trim level is the standard engine on the GMC Yukon Denali. You can apply most of the Tahoe's numbers to the entire Yukon and Yukon XL lineup. Second, though we highlighted categories where the Traverse led, we also highlighted the runner-up full-size SUV, since this was ultimately about that segment. Traverse numbers are broadly applicable to the new Buick Enclave. Ford F-150 EcoBoost in NHTSA probe for acceleration issue
Tue, 28 May 2013According to Automotive News, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is launching a probe into 400,000 Ford F-150 models over possible acceleration problems. According to the article, NHTSA has received 95 reports "alleging incidents of reduced engine power during hard accelerations" on 2011 to 2013 F-150 models equipped with the company's 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine.
Automotive News reports that Ford has issued three technical service bulletins "related to intermittent stumble/misfire on acceleration from highway cruise in humid or damp conditions," according to the government agency's documents. About one third of the 95 reports NHTSA has received cited humid or rainy conditions when these problems allegedly occurred.
These technical service bulletins have allowed dealers to address a "condition related to moisture accumulation in the charge air cooler during extended highway cruising at constant throttle in humid or damp conditions," AN reports, citing NHTSA documents. Furthermore, the TSB outlines details for "reprogramming the powertrain control module with the latest calibration and installing a new CAC and air deflector plate."
