Here to buy I am selling a 2001 Ford Ranger.  This ranger features rear wheel drive and the 3.0 V6 motor.  So if you are looking for a truck with good gas mileage, this is the one for you.  Overall the truck is in good condition.  Engine wise, everything is sound.  I had just got it back from my family mechanic and everything is running ship shape.  Has chrome wheels and bumper, bed liner, towing package, rear sliding window, newer alternator, newer rear shocks, and the AC works great.

Defects
There is a scrape that goes along the passenger side of the truck.  A good buffing will take most of it out however at this time it is present.  Also the rest of the truck has some scratches and scuffs just accumulating through the years.  The center console plastic lock cracked so it does not close anymore  Easy fix.  The rear bumper is rusted but I have a steel bumper made for a Ford Ranger that is included

Overall it is a great and reliable truck.  Keep in mind that the miles will change because this is my daily driver.  I don't drive far though.  This truck is priced way below Blue Book value so it is priced to sell!  Make this great work truck yours!

This is for LOCAL PICKUP only! You are welcome to come see the truck anytime throughout the auction.  I am located in Chesterton, Indiana.  (about 60 minutes outside Chicago)

eBay Find of the Day: Mk1 Ford GT40 with interesting history

Sat, 03 May 2014

You might expect a rare Ford GT40 to cross the block at some sort of prestigious auto auction from RM or Gooding, not show up on eBay for over $2 million. However, that's exactly what we have here. The seller claims the car is a late-build Mk1 GT40 from 1969, and it's currently owned by the director of the Hublot watch company in Switzerland.
According to the listing, GT40 #P1108 started life as Mk1 car that was built from factory spares in 1969 and was first sold in 1971. However, the auction is somewhat confusing. According to an image in its gallery, the vehicle was actually built from one of the seven spare Mk3 tubs when production of the iconic racers ended.
This GT40 was never built as a racecar - it lived on the streets its whole life. After assembly finished, it was sent to Germany and was eventually registered for the road. The first owner kept the car until 2005 and sold it with 7,300 miles on the odometer. The current owner bought it in 2012.

Ford begins testing right-hand-drive Mustang

Wed, 20 Aug 2014

Ford has officially kicked off testing of the right-hand-drive variant of its sixth-generation, 2015 Mustang, according to a statement issued by the company, which came with the above photo.
According to Ford, this will mark the first time a right-hand-drive 'Stang has traveled down the company's assembly line alongside its LHD brethren. It is far from the first of the legendary pony cars to feature its wheel on the wrong side, though, as converters in RHD markets across the globe have been making swaps for years.
Ford is planning on using the white, droptop Mustang for RHD development ahead of the car's arrival in the UK, Australia and South Africa, among other markets. Scroll down for the official press blast.

Spy shooter claims proof of upcoming aluminum Ford F-Series Super Duty

Thu, 26 Jun 2014

Ford has already confirmed that the 2015 F-150 (pictured above) was just the beginning for its more extensive use of aluminum. CEO Alan Mulally said it himself during the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. We've even already seen the future Raptor testing with an aluminum body. But a recent discovery from an intrepid spy photographer might indicate that the lightweight metal is coming to the Blue Oval's Super Duty pickups in their upcoming generation, as well.
According to Automotive News, a spy shooter in Colorado spotted a prototype for the next-gen F-350 testing. He happened to have a magnet on hand and got close enough to check the truck out. When he held it up to the metal in the bed, it didn't stick, which signaled to him a switch from steel to aluminum.
Obviously, this claim raises some questions. Given that it was a test vehicle, one possibility is that the Blue Oval is just evaluating the feasibility of switching to aluminum for the Super Duty trucks, not necessarily committed to it yet. Ford has been testing it quite exhaustively, after all. In fact, much of the rest of the truck in question was covered in camouflage, so it's possible that the magnet failed to work along the rest of the body not because it was aluminum, but because it wasn't powerful enough to get through the disguising material. Thus, the lightweight metal's use could be far less substantial than on the new F-150. Still, it was a clever idea for the cameraman to check things out and might have given us the first hint about brand's next heavy-duty models.
