2000 Ford Ranger XLT (Truck)

*161,*** miles
*Automatic Transmission
*6-Cyl
*4WD Works great
*anti-theft system
*((ABS))
*Step-side truck bed
*Rear sliding window
*Black in color, grey interior
*Some rust spots here and there
*Front bumper needs adjusted. Though it does not affect driving
*Underbody looks great
*I have title
*Has air conditioner but needs filled, not blowing cool air.

I bought from friend a few months back and the rims, door handles and gas cover
were all painted pink. I painted over them black but could use a touch up in the
wheel area. I have a full can of the same black stop rust auto paint if you'd
like to have it.

I was told then that it had newer tires they bought in Fall of 2012.

*Tow hooks up front
*Bed liner
*Has the little fold down back seats

Work done after I purchased...
All it needed when I bought it was a new top neck where the gas goes in because
the gas ran out onto the ground. It also needed holes in exhaust repaired. It had
cost me around $300 to get that stuff fixed. No more exhaust smell in cab of
truck and not a drop of gas leaks out when pumping.

I believe it needs an oil pressure gauge sensor because it goes crazy (bounces up and down)
by the time I get to MCC from Webster.

Reason for selling...
We have a vehicle already and I needed this one at the time to get to the
college. Turns out with new work schedules and summer break we are able to share
one vehicle again so this one is not being used. No need for it and don't want it
to sit.

Thank you!

Ford Fusion production scaled back just 3 months after it was accelerated

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

Three months after kicking off production of the Ford Fusion at its Flat Rock, MI factory, Ford Motor Company is taking steps to trim output in the face of heavily discounted competition from Toyota and a growing supply of vehicles.
The addition of Fusion production in Flat Rock - which also builds the Mustang - was meant to be what pushed the handsome mid-sizer past its arch-nemesis, the Toyota Camry. An extra facility building Fusions was also meant to curb the growing demand for Ford's highly profitable sedan.
But with word that Flat Rock would take "approximately" one extra week off for the holidays combined with an 88-day supply of Fusions - reportedly due in no small part to what Morgan Stanley analyst Adam Jonas called "aggressive discounting of the Camry" - some analysts are now beginning to wonder if Ford may have overextended itself by adding a second Fusion facility to the mix.

Ford pulls official support from top-level NHRA teams

Sun, 11 Aug 2013

As the smallest team in the sport, it wasn't really a surprise when Dodge decided to pull out of NASCAR, but Autoweek is reporting that Ford is looking to pull the plug on its professional-level NHRA sponsorships following the 2014 season. With attendance and television ratings down, the article reports that Ford is just backing out of the top series but will remain active in the Sportsman classes of racing, which are geared more toward the grassroots and semi-professional racers.
This means that one of drag racing's biggest names, John Force, will be left looking for new sponsorship after next season. Force, 64, has been with Ford for 17 years, winning 15 championships in that time and winning almost half of all Funny Car events in his Mustang since he started working with Ford in 1997, but after 2014, there could be some big shakeups at John Force Racing.
According to the report, Force would consider is moving over to the Top Fuel dragster series, although he could also move to another manufacturer to remain in the Funny Car series. With Ford on the way out, this leaves just Toyota and Dodge as the remaining active automakers in the highest levels of drag racing.

Chris Harris pits Fiesta ST against Mercedes G63 AMG in 0-60 battle... sort of

Thu, 01 Aug 2013

Vehicle performance tests are serious business, with reputations made or broken by things like braking distance, top speed, and lateral g-forces. King of the metrics, though, is the 0-60 run, which for unknown reasons has become the benchmark for what truly makes a car a performance machine.
Now, Chris Harris from Drive has turned the whole idea behind the sprint to 60 on its ear. Taking a new Ford Fiesta ST, Harris asks a simple question: would the ST be quicker to 60 on its own, or on a trailer being towed by a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG?
It's a fair question, really. The Fiesta Harris tested hit 60 in 7.2 seconds on a slightly uphill section of runway. It should be noted that Harris quotes his ST at 182 horsepower, which is about 15 ponies less than what we're getting in the US, so these numbers might not hold up all that well against an American model. The G63 AMG, meanwhile, is a 536-horsepower monster, powered by a twin-turbo V8 that, able to propel the big SUV to 60 mph in just 5.2 seconds without towing a Fiesta.
