i will describe the truck to the best of my knowledge. i purchased the truck the way it is with some books and paperwork. the mileage is what shows on custom speedometer. i own a car lot and purchased at auction , planned on playing with the truck but i am a big guy and with the speakers behind the seat i barely fit . it will be sold through the car lot and Indiana sales tax of 7% will be collected . it has dual dvd players in bed that both work. has all kinds of audio equipment which can be seen in photos , i am not familiar with audio equipment but it sounds awesome. the engine appears to be a 302 which has had a big cam (paperwork included) , aluminum heads, and so on. engine sounds very strong. body and interior are in descent shape. passenger door has a dent which can be seen from photos. has poppers for doors that work from key fob or hidden switch. it is a very cool and very powerful little truck. engine and transmission appear to have small fluid leaks . i would hate to think how much time and money was spent on this truck . with it being custom it is being sold as is.

Fitting Retirement: Grand Marquis last Mercury off the line

The signs have come down and retail production ended back in October of 2010. Now, the very last Mercury model has rolled off the assembly line. This last Mercury somewhat fittingly takes the form of a Grand Marquis reporting for fleet duty. It was built at the St. Thomas plant in Ontario, Canada, which is the same facility that continues to produce the Ford Crown Victoria and Lincoln Town Car for fleet and livery duty.
St. Thomas' days are numbered, however, as the factory is slated to close on August 31. When it goes, the Panther platform is likely to follow. So long, and thanks for all the fish memories.

J Mays' legacy

Mays is by far not the first designer to use heritage design cues in his work.
The announcement that J Mays will be leaving his chief creative officer role at Ford Motor Company on January 1 ends a 13-year run in one of the industry's top design roles. While best known for having a hand in reborn classics like the Volkswagen New Beetle, Ford Mustang and Thunderbird (above), Mays' legacy is more complicated and nuanced than being considered the father of what is known as "retrofuturism".
