Free storage for this RANCHERO until your pickup date is not a problem as we have ; a 4-acre commercial parcal ,& a 2-acre commercial property. - Located only 3-miles from the nearest Interstate-90 exit ,zip code 59808. - Am listing this ranchero because we also have a 1973 J-10 4x4 ,a 440 shortbox , a W-300 4x4 , a 1210 camper special ,a 1310 dually 4x4 , etc.,etc, & with health problems just can't keep them all !! . - This auction is for the pictured 1969 Ranchero. - All of these vintage Ranchero pickup / cars are a rare find. - This one is a V-8 / with automatic transmission . - I don't know the exact C.I.D. of this V-8 engine , if it were a Mopar product I would probably have a better idea. - There is very little rust { see photos },. nothing that can't be adressed & the floors feel good / solid , and all of the bed interior is solid. - This Ranchero has been in my family for many years. - During that time it was stored @ another location someone " borrowed " the radiator ,so it will need to be replaced. - Other than that ; it looks like everything else is fairly complete. - I think the paint is all factory original , & a new coat at some point would be advised. - It will also need a new seatcover for the bench seat. -I do have a clean /clear montana title allready noterized ,in-hand & ready to go ,it is titled as a 1969 ,but I think it may have been mfg in late 68. - The relative I purchased it from said it did run when he first bought it ,but I never got around to picking up a radiator for it. - He had a pair , & said one of them was purchased new by his former boss. - The boss owned a large road construction Co. , and I guess the cars all just sat because he allways drove a Company pickup truck.- The odometer reads : 21645.1 - Would like to see this go to a good home where it will be appreiciated. - I have a resonable reserve set on it , and it's more than just a little below the ; Buy-Now price. - Please dont ask what the reserve is ; just bid to own it & make it yours. - Located in Missoula ,Montana zip code 59808 {Missoula County}. - Sold as-is ,& where-is with the buyer to make & pay for ALL pick-up / transportation planing. - As allready mentioned free storage until you get this Ranchero is no problem. - In fact ; I sold one of our other vintage vehicles several months back ; & it's still parked here waiting for them !

Ford GT dominates Le Mans qualifying, gets slapped with performance adjustment
Fri, Jun 17 2016Fifty years after Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon drove the Ford GT40 to victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ford is poised for a historic return to the Circuit de la Sarthe. The new Ford GT took the top two qualifying positions in the LMGTE Pro class, and four of the top five. Ferrari's 488 filled in the rest of the spots in the top seven, the first two from AF Corse. In other words, we're primed for a reboot of the classic Ford-Ferrari feud at this year's race. Or not, as the ACO, which organizes the 24 Hours of Le Mans, announced sweeping pre-race Balance of Performance (BOP) adjustments this morning that make this year's GT class anybody's race. In LMP1, last year's overall winner Porsche locked up the top two spots with the 919 Hybrid and will lead the entire field at race start. Toyota's two-car factory effort followed with qualifying times 1.004 and 2.170 seconds behind the pole lap. Audi rounds out the manufacturer-backed LMP1 class in fifth and sixth. Full qualifying results can be found here. The storyline for the GT cars is perfect - some say too perfect. Ford's class-leading times came after BOP adjustment to the Corvette Racing C7.R before qualifying. BOP is intended to level the playing field in the class by adjusting power, ballast, and fuel capacity. (Check out this explainer video for more, or even just if you love French accents.) But the process is riddled with unknowns and ripe for accusations of sandbagging. That is, if the Ford cars were intentionally slow in practice they could hope for BOP adjustment to improve their race chances. On the Corvette side, last year's GTE Pro winner went from the top of the field to the bottom, barely improving from practice to qualifying. If you think Le Mans is as rigged at the NBA Playoffs, well, it's not that simple. Because if Ford and Ferrari held back until qualifying - the eighth-place Porsche 911 RSR is three-and-a-half seconds off the class pole time - it was a pretty dumb strategy. This morning, the ACO tried to put things back in order by limiting the boost in the Ford GT's twin-turbo V6 and adding 11 pounds of ballast. Ferrari was also given extra weight but allowed more fuel capacity. The Corvette and Aston Martin teams were both given breaks on their air restrictors, which will allow their engines to make more power. Both Ford and Porsche also received extra fuel capacity.
Ford names Lincoln chief as North American president following Nair's departure
Thu, Feb 22 2018Ford announced yesterday that its North American president Raj Nair would no longer be working for the company due to "inappropriate behavior." As a result, the company needed fill that gaping vacancy. The new North American president and Ford Group vice president will be Kumar Galhotra, and his term in the new role will start on March 1. Galhotra will remain the group vice president and chief marketing officer for Lincoln through March, meaning he's the head of the luxury brand. He's had this position since 2014. Before that, he was vice president of engineering for all of Ford. With Galhotra's promotion, a number of internal promotions follow. Joy Falotico, current chairman, CEO and group vice president of Ford's credit division will fill Galhotra's position, and Dave McClelland, vice president of marketing for Ford Asia Pacific, will fill her role. Other shuffling at Ford includes Stewart Rawley's promotion to vice president for Ford North America and chief operating officer. He is the current vice president for strategy at Ford. Ford China's chairman and CEO John Lawler will take Rawley's old role, and Cathy O'Callaghan will take over Lawler's job at Ford China, but not until June 1. O'Callaghan is currently vice president, corporate controller and chief financial officer for global markets at Ford. Related Video:
