You're looking at a 1967 Ford Ranchero XL500 "Z" CODE. It came from the factory with 390 V-8 and four barrel. Factory air conditioning, power steering and power brakes. It was sold new in Chula Vista California and spent most of its life there until ending up in Texas.  Besides being a rare factory 390 "Z" code ranchero, what makes this vehicle even more rare is that is an original bucket seat, console and XL500 Ranchero. This is one of only 178 Rancheros built with these options. Please see the Marti Report with the pictures. The Ranchero comes with a lot of extra chrome parts and extra bumper. The center console and factory bucket seats (black) are sitting next to the vehicle. The vehicle appears to have the original sheet metal, glass and interior carpet. The underneath has the original factory undercoating peeling away showing the original light blue paint. See the pictures attached. The factory body codes are:

Body: 66D
Color: O
Trim: 8B
Date: 06K
DSO: 71
Axle: 1
Trans: U

Now the bad, when I found this Ranchero in the desert it was without the original 390V-8 and transmission, otherwise it's complete. THERE IS NO ENGINE & TRANSMISSION. All the glass looks to be original and in great condition. There is ALMOST no rust, except for the left quarter and a small area in rear floorboards. There's a small bullet hole in the driver's door. Must be a Texas thing to shoot at old vehicles.

I looked for years to find a Ranchero with all these options and I've had it parked in dry storage since I purchased it, but reality is that I have way too many cars to restore and I'll never get to all of them. I hoping to sell a few so someone else can enjoy them. The vehicle is being sold AS-IS. Please feel free to come and inspect prior to the auction ending. Please feel free to email and or call me with any questions. Thank you Chris 816.590.7660.

Ford Focus 1.0-liter Ecoboost to only get manual trans in US

Sun, 23 Feb 2014

Photos of the 2015 Ford Focus leaked earlier today, but now we're able to tell you more details of the global five-door hatchback. Bucking automaker's troubling trend of ditching manual transmissions in favor of automatics, Ford says the new 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine will come only in a six-speed manual in the US, because, well, American drivers aren't as sophisticated as our European brothers and sisters.
Ford didn't come out and say it that way, but it has found American drivers are more prone to complain about automatics in smaller-engine cars, Raj Nair, Ford's group vice president of global product development, said at a press conference last week. The recent JD Power Vehicle Dependability Study backs up Ford's claims, pointing out that drivers are complaining about rough transmission shifts, engine hesitation and lack of power, particularly in small cars. In Europe and other parts of the world, drivers seem to understand the quirks of these pint-sized engines, Nair said, so they'll have the option to buy an automatic. Ford is working on tuning its dual-clutch transmissions to make them more amenable to American driver's tastes.
Ford will show off the refreshed 2015 Focus at the Geneva Motor Show in early March. The car is due for an update, having been on sale in its current form since 2012. The automaker said it is jamming the car full of new technology - like a USB port that promises to charge your phone in half the time as a regular USB port. Features like Sync and a rear back-up camera will come standard. For a more in-depth look at the car, take a look at the full press release.

Galpin Ford GTR1 supercar debuts in Monterey

Fri, 16 Aug 2013

Galpin Auto Sports has finally taken the wraps off the car we first previewed back in December, the Galpin Ford GTR1. A few weeks ago, we posted the first hints of just what the GTR1 would be capable of, with Galpin teasing that its 5.4-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 would produce in excess of 1000 horsepower, with a top speed of 225 miles per hour. Package all that in a coachbuilt body, and you have the recipe for one wicked supercar.
The price for the carbon fiber-bodied car is $1,024,000.
Now, we have all the glorious details. Galpin is targeting a production run of six cars, but if interest is strong enough, will expand its initial quote to 24 vehicles. The price for the carbon fiber-bodied car is $1,024,000. Opting for the aluminum bodywork could lower that, although it's not immediately clear by how much.

2016 Ford Focus RS mule spotted on US soil

Tue, 17 Jun 2014

Okay Ford, this is what we like to see. One of our intrepid spy photographers has captured a vehicle that we weren't even sure would see the light of day - the next Focus RS. While this is pretty clearly a mule based on the current Focus ST, as our spy points out, there are a number of giveaways about this hot hatch's true nature.
Indication number one that all is not right with this Focus is the heavily camo'd front fascia, which has been completely reconfigured for duty on the RS. It boasts significantly larger grilles that are meant to accommodate what is likely the 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder that's destined for the 2015 Ford Mustang. Considering that, then, we can expect around 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque from the hottest of Foci, although it's entirely possible that the production model could climb even higher, to around 330 hp.
The front fascia tweaks are complemented in the back by a modified rear bumper, which fails at hiding a pair of exhaust tips quite unlike the standard Focus ST's center-exit exhaust. Other obvious changes include the wheel/tire/brake package on this particular car. Larger 19-inch wheels are shod in super-sticky Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires in 235/35/19 while the brakes feature what we think are four-piston calipers, possibly from Brembo, up front.
